Abstract

Generation Z currently dominates the global demographic structure and serves as the primary driver for the increasing demand for halal products in the international market. However, their exposure to urban lifestyles and global products often creates ambiguity in consumption priorities. This research aims to identify the factors influencing Generation Z's purchase decisions regarding halal-certified products, focusing on the variables of religiosity, lifestyle trends, and digital information. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach with purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, digital observation, and field observation at the Halal Park Integrated Area (Gelora Bung Karno) and modern shopping centers in Central Jakarta, targeting respondents born between 1997 and 2012. The results indicate that digital information and content curation by social media influencers exert a more dominant influence on shaping halal perceptions than formal religious instructions. Although respondents' halal literacy is relatively high, their consumption discipline significantly depends on the extent to which the product intersects with healthy lifestyle trends (clean label) and ethical consumption. The implications of this research emphasize the need for digital marketing strategy adaptation for halal industry developers to better align with the critical and tech-savvy character of Generation Z. This study contributes to the development of a more contextual Sharia economic literacy in facing global market challenges in the age of disruption.

Abstract

The transition from traditional markets to e-commerce in Indonesia has brought great efficiency, yet simultaneously triggered a crisis of trust due to the prevalence of product mismatches and digital information manipulation. This study aims to map the challenges of preserving the value of honesty in online transactions and formulate strengthening strategies based on Islamic values. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with netnography on the Borneo Digital Hub community in Balikpapan. Data were analyzed through content analysis of digital interactions and platform policies. It was found that digital anonymity creates psychological effects that weaken the moral responsibility of sellers, triggering tadlis (hiding defects) and review manipulation. However, entrepreneurs who internalize the principles of Siddiq and Amanah proved to have a more sustainable reputation (branding). This study recommends integrating transparent platform features with Sharia economic literacy for MSME players. These results contribute to the development of an e-commerce model that prioritizes barakah and trust as the main pillars of the digital economy in Indonesia.

Abstract

The dependence of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) on external assistance often hampers institutional development and missionary autonomy. This study aims to analyze the economic empowerment mechanism at Pondok Pesantren Modern "Nurul Ikhlas" and its impact on institutional independence and the community in Nagari Panyalaian. This research uses a qualitative field research approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation of business units, and analysis of local economic documents. The study found that the pesantren successfully built independence through diversification of business units (agrotourism, retail, and services) managed professionally with Amanah values. The pesantren also acts as a business incubator for students and an off-taker for local products, supported by the optimization of productive Ziswaf funds. Pesantren functions as an effective Social Enterprise model in driving the community economy. This strategy recommends the need for management digitalization and halal certification support to strengthen the competitiveness of the pesantren economy in the digital era.

Abstract

The digital competency gap between university graduates and the needs of the Islamic finance industry 4.0 is a serious barrier to labor absorption. To measure the impact of Islamic economics curriculum digitalization on graduate work readiness, specifically in the Islamic Finance Industry and Digital Hub area of Medan Petisah. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach through surveys of alumni and final-year students, as well as interviews with industry practitioners. Analysis was conducted on technology literacy and work adaptability variables. The results show that the integration of financial technology in the syllabus, such as the use of computerized sharia banking laboratories and understanding smart contracts, significantly increases graduate competitiveness. Industry-based internships (MBKM) are also proven to strengthen students' professional mentality. However, infrastructure constraints and the readiness of faculty members remain institutional challenges that need to be addressed. Curriculum digitalization is no longer an option but a necessity to produce Muslim technocrats capable of operating digital sharia financial systems competently and with integrity.

Abstract

The digital landscape has witnessed a radical shift where social media platforms have become the primary marketplace. However, this transformation is often accompanied by the marginalization of ethical boundaries as brands prioritize algorithmic engagement and virality over moral integrity. In the pursuit of clicks and shares, unethical practices such as deception (gharar) and excessive exaggeration (tashni’) have become prevalent. This study aims to investigate the integration of Islamic business ethics specifically the prophetic traits of Siddiq, Amanah, Tabligh, and Fathanah into social media marketing strategies on platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This research employs a qualitative approach using Netnography and Critical Discourse Analysis. The study focuses on prominent Sharia-branded business accounts as case studies, analyzing digital artifacts including video content, captions, and consumer-brand interactions in the comment sections. The results identify a significant alignment between successful ethical branding and the implementation of radical honesty in product descriptions, visual authenticity (avoiding deceptive filters), and the use of gentle communication (Qaulan Layyinan) in handling complaints. Furthermore, the study discovers the emergence of the Marketing Langit (Heavenly Marketing) model, where promotional content serves as a dual-purpose tool for commercial gain and educational dakwah. This research provides a practical and spiritual framework for Muslim entrepreneurs, demonstrating that creative digital advertising can achieve high commercial success while remaining rooted in Islamic values. By prioritizing Barakah over mere metrics, brands can foster sustainable consumer trust and contribute to a more ethical digital economy.
