Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an important effort in preventing disease in the community. Routine education provided by health workers is expected to increase knowledge and change community behavior for the better. This study aims to determine the effect of health education on improving community knowledge and behavior of clean and healthy living (PHBS). The study design used a pre-post test with a single group. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. The research instrument was a PHBS knowledge and behavior questionnaire. Data analysis used a paired t-test and a Wilcoxon. The results showed a significant difference in knowledge and behavior before and after education (p < 0.001). From the results of observations, it was seen that the community was able to change several negative behaviors, especially regarding environmental cleanliness. Thus, it can be concluded that providing health education influences the level of community knowledge and behavior related to PHBS

Abstract

Community satisfaction is an important indicator of primary care quality and serves as strategic input for continuous improvement at Community Health Centers (Puskesmas). This study aims to describe community satisfaction with services at the MM Community Health Center and the factors influencing it, based on qualitative findings from in-depth interviews. This study used a qualitative design with semi-structured interviews with 20 informants (patients/families) selected purposively. Data analysis used a Reflexive Thematic Analysis approach. Data validity was maintained through source triangulation, audit trails, and member checking. Five main themes influenced satisfaction: access and waiting time, communication and empathy from health workers, availability of drugs and facilities, ease of administration, and cleanliness of the facility. Informant quotes showed a variety of experiences, from very satisfied to needing improvements in the queuing system and drug availability. Improvements in service flow, strengthening communication, and monitoring of the IKM based on real-time feedback are recommended. The services at the MM Community Health Center were considered quite satisfactory, but improvements in access and drug availability are still needed

Abstract

Elderly people who have high blood pressure will experience an increase of more than half of the population aged 60 years with systolic pressure of 140 mmHg and diastolic 90 mmHg. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the world, occurring at the age of 65 years and over with the most deaths in developing countries. The purpose of the study was to determine the description of hypertension diet compliance in the elderly at the Lakessi Health Center, Parepare City. The research method used in this study is quantitative descriptive with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire sheet. The subjects of the study were all elderly hypertensive patients as many as 53 elderly at the Lakessi Health Center, Parepare City in 2024 and families who accompanied the patients. The study results involved 53 elderly people, all of whom were compliant with the hypertension diet (100%). This means that 100% of respondents were compliant with the hypertension diet. The conclusion is that all respondents (53) were compliant in undergoing a hypertension diet because the level of awareness of the elderly is higher. Suggestions for further researchers to develop research with a more varied approach, such as a descriptive analytical design, in order to determine the relationship between variables such as education level, family support, or knowledge of the elderly with dietary compliance

Abstract

Gout, or in the medical world called Gout Arthritis, is a joint disease caused by Purine metabolism disorders characterized by high levels of uric acid in the blood. This study aims to describe care for elderly people with gout arthritis with impaired physical mobility at the Elderly Social Service Center. A descriptive case study with case presentations on 2 elderly respondents with Gout Arthritis with impaired physical mobility. The results showed that after implementing elderly exercise for 3 days, both patients experienced a decrease in joint pain complaints. Patients felt fresher and fitter than before doing elderly exercise. Patients' uric acid levels also began to decrease on the third day of elderly exercise. Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disease or disorder caused by various etiologies. This disease is characterized by high blood glucose levels and impaired carbohydrate, lipid, and protein metabolism due to functional insufficiency. In patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, fatigue is one of the symptoms of physiological processes, treatment procedures, and complications that diabetes mellitus sufferers often experience in the long term. Energy management is a structured strategy to help diabetes mellitus sufferers manage and optimize their energy use, thereby reducing fatigue. This study aims to describe nursing care for elderly people with type 2 diabetes mellitus with fatigue nursing problems in Palu City, Central Sulawesi Province. This study uses a descriptive case study method. Data collection methods included interviews, observations, and assessments. The instruments used are general assessments and assessments of fatigue measurement scales. The results showed that fatigue problems were found to be related to physiological conditions (diabetes mellitus) in accordance with the signs and symptoms of the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards (SDKI). The interventions provided were 11 interventions according to the Indonesian nursing intervention standards (SIKI). After five nursing care sessions, the fatigue assessment scale showed a decrease. It is hoped that the results of this case study will enable respondents to implement daily energy management activities to address fatigue in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
