Abstract

This research is meant to know (1) the contribution of school leadership, organizational climate and teaching experience together on the Government Junior High School teacher commitment Sentolo Subdistrict of Kulon Progo Regency, (2) the contribution of school leadership to teacher commitment as the Subdistrict Sentolo Junior High School of Kulon Progo Regency, (3) organizational climate contributes to the commitment of the Government Junior High School teacher Sentolo Subdistrict of Kulon Progo Regency, (4) contribute to the experience of teaching the Government Junior High School teacher commitment Sentolo Subdistrict of Kulon Progo Regency.The population of this research consist of 126 teachers of the Government Junior High School Subdistrict Sentolo of Kulon Progo Regency . This research includes the study population as all teachers , amounting to 126 as respondents . The data obtained were analyzed using multiple regression .The results of the research show that the principal leadership , organizational climate and teaching experience has a positive and significant contribution to the teachers' commitment on the Government Junior High School Subdistrict of Kulon Progo Regency . The contribution of school leadership, organizational climate and teaching experience together the commitment of teachers is 64% . While the partial contribution of school leadership to teacher commitment by 20.12% . Contribution of organizational climate on teacher commitment by 22.60 % , while the teaching experience of the teachers' commitment is 21.12% .

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 133 Guru SMA Swasta se Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014. Tehnik pengambilan jumlah sampel secara acak, Sampelpenelitiandiambilsejumlah 100 orang guru. Sedangkan tehnik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Validitas instrumen dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus korelasi Product momen, dan untuk Reliabilitas dihitung dengan menggunakan Alpha Corncbah. Analisis dilakukan dengan pengujian prasarat analisis yaitu Uji Multikolinieritas, Uji Normalitas dan Uji Linierritas. Tehnik analisis data menggunakan tehnik Analisis Regresi Ganda dan Tehnik analisis korelasi Parsial. Setelah iti dilakukan analisis data.Berdasarkan hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Ada Pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan Kepemimpinan Kepala Sekolah, Supervisi Tindak Lanjut, dan Pengembangan Komunikasi Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMA Swasta Se Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 (2) Ada Pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan Kepemimpinan Kepala SekolahTerhadap Kinerja Guru SMA Swasta Se Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 (3) Ada Pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan Supervisi Tindak Lanjut Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMA Swasta Se Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014 (4) Ada Pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan Pengembangan Komunikasi Terhadap Kinerja Guru SMA Swasta Se Kecamatan Depok Kabupaten Sleman Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014.

Abstract

Teachers Commitment in determining the success of a character education at schools is very important because teachers are those who implement education at schools . Teachers are the ones who are in direct contact with students. One of the key factor to increase teachers’ commitment can be done by the principal by maintaining and improving teacher’s commitment, so the goal of character education programs in schools can be achieved.This study aims at (1) determining the development of organizational commitment in the context of the implementation of character education at Kesatuan Bangsa Boarding School (KBBS) Yogyakarta, (2) describing the principal’s effort in giving the example and values to his subordinates. In order to implement the character education in KBBS Yogyakarta, (3) understanding the constraints faced by Kesatuan Bangsa Boarding School Yogyakarta in implementing the character educationThis study was conducted by qualitative research approach. The process of data collection in the field using interviews, observation and documentation as well as involving the principal, teachers and students. The results showed that the character education in Kesatuan Bangsa Boarding Scool Yogyakarta was implemented with a good teacher commitment. Education in the school system with a boarding school model requires that teachers take an active role in both academic and non-academic activities, especially in habituation good life. Efforts to increase teacher commitment were demonstrated in several ways, namely: 1) the creation of a family atmosphere, 2) quality education system, 3) the welfare of teachers assuredness , 4) the creation of teacher development, and 5) teachers the opportunity to develop themselves . As for the obstacles still facing teachers is uneven readiness related fulltime work, and in general the influence of the media, especially television and the internet in certain limits troubling teachers because the values promoted in the media often conflict with the national character of Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this research are (1) to know the existence of supporting organization in society participation in the elementary schools in sleman regency. (2) to know the participation, responsibility, and society support in the application of MPMBS (correlate in existence of school, society hope in education, decision making in excellent schools, management of quality improvement program, cooperation, and participation, (3) to know the supporting figuration/ society participation in education implementation in excellent schools, (4) to know the schools efforts to improving community participation in application of MPMBS in excellent schools.To get the accurate data, this research use qualitative method. Object of this research is the participation of the society in an effort to implementing MPMBS in Sleman regency, while the subjects of this study are principals, teachers and school committees are taken purposively. Collecting data in this study using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data to test the credibility of the data using means extending research and triangulation techniques by combining different data collection techniques. Analysis of the data using an interactive model analysis techniques developed by Miles and Huberman.The results of this research are society participation in the implementation effort in elementary schools MPMBS in Sleman regency, are: (1) on the fifth excellent elementary SD N 1 Godean , SD N 1 Sleman, SD N 1 Kalasan, SD N 1 Babarsari and SD N 2 percobaan were have organizations that support society participation of school committees and school committees have been carrying out the role and function properly; (2) there is involvement, responsibility and community support in the effort to be good MPMBS application (related with the existence of the school, linked to people's expectations will be held in the excellent elementary education, related to the decision-making process in excellent primary, associated with the management of the quality improvement program, associated with the process of cooperation and participation); (3) support/ society participation in the form of financial and non-financial; (4) There’s school efforts to improve community participation. It shows the readiness of the society to support the implementation of the MPMBS programs .

Abstract

This research is aimed: 1) to describe the influence of communication competence partially toward teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency, 2) to describe the influence of teachers achievement motivation partially toward teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency, 3) to describe the influence of teachers competence test partially toward teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency and 4) to describe the influence of communication competence, achievement motivation and teachers competence test simultaneously toward teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency.This research belongs to a quantitative research. The sampling method used is total sampling of 46 professional certified teachers of State Vocational High School in Magelang Regency. The data of communication competence and achievement motivation are collected through questionnaire, while the data of teachers competence test and teachers’ performance assessment are taken from study of document. The data collected are explained partially and simultaneously to describe the influences toward the determined variables.The results of this research are : 1) the communication competence does not influence teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency, 2) achievement motivation does not influence teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency, 3) teachers competence test influence teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency and 4) based on F-Test it can be concluded that communication competence, achievement motivation and teachers competence test influence toward teachers’ performance of State Vocational High Schools in Magelang Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to gain an overview about the effort of cultural arts meetings subject teacher (MGMP) in the district level to improve the competence of dance teacher in junior high school in Gunungkidul district includes program planning and MGMPs activities, MGMPs organization, MGMPs financing and also the result of MGMPs activities. The MGMPs activities such as : (1) Regular meeting; (2) Workshop about making of KTSP; (3) Singles dance work workshop; (4) ICT workshop; (5) Workshop lesson study; (6) Staging and performance; etc.This research use descriptive qualitative research approach with case studies in MGMPs cultural art in junior high school in Gunungkidul district. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis use descriptive narrative analysis with checking data by triangulation.The result of the research showed that MGMP can improve the competence and professionalism of dance teachers such as : (1) Pedagogical competence is ability of a teacher in the management of student learning; (2) The social competence is the ability of teachers in the field of information technology as a part of the community; (3) Professional competence is the ability of teacher in mastering the science about the field of arts when teaching.The impact of teacher professional development includes : (a) Quality of servive-learning is more fun and meaningful for students in order to achieve national education standards and potential development of national culture-based in order to have a global advantage; (b) Able to lift the quality of education by art, so well in the district and national levels.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to find out the contribution of working climate, teacher’s prosperity and working motivation simultaneously to the teachers working productivity of special school in Kulon Progo regency, find out the contribution of working climate, teacher’s prosperity and working motivation to the teachers working productivity of special school of Kulon Progo regency partially.The Population of this research were all of special school teachers in Kulon Progo Regency which totally 130 persons. The sample was 95 person which was taken by Nomogram Harry King formula at the 5 % signification with Proportionate Random Sampling technique. In collecting data the researcher used questionnare and documentation. The analysis technique used multiple regression and partial correlation with level significantly is 5%.The result of the research showed that the working climate, teacher’s prosperity and working motivation have positive contribution that significant simultaneously to the teachers working productivity of special school of kulon progo regency. The effectivity contribution of working climate, teacher’s prosperity and working motivation to the teachers working productivity is 68,9 %, thus the number 31,1% cannot be explained at this research caused by anathor factor. The relative contribution of working climate gave 60,43%, relative contribution of teacher’s prosperity gave 1,31%, and relative contribution of working motivation gave 38,26% whereas, the number of effective contribution to each free variable at the bound is 41,63% for the working climate, 0,90% for the teacher’s prosperity and 26,36% for working motivation. The school climate had positive and significant contribution to the working productivity of special school of kulon progo regency. The teacher’s prosperity had not positive and significant contribution to the working productivity of special school of kulon progo regency. The working motivation had positive and significant contribution o the working productivity of special school of kulon progo regency.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh secara bersama-sama variabel kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah, budaya organisasi dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru Madrsah Tsanawiyah (MTs) se-kota Yogyakarta, sejauh mana pengaruh kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Se- Kota Yogyakarta, sejauh mana pengaruh budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Se- Kota Yogyakarta, serta sejauh mana pengaruh motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Se -Kota Yogyakarta.Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) se-Kota Yogyakarta berjumlah 166 orang. Sampel penelitian 117 orang diambil dengan menggunakan Toro Yamane dengan taraf kesalahan 5%. Tehnik sampling yang digunakan adalah Proportionate Random Sampling. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi ganda dan korelasi parsial dengan taraf kesalahan 5%.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah, budaya organisasi, dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif yang signifikan secara bersama-sama terhadap kinerja guru Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) se kota Yogyakarta sebesar 52,90% sehingga 47,10 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini. Secara parsial kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah, budaya organisasi dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif yang signifikan. Artinya semakin tinggi kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah, budaya organisasi serta motivasi kerja, maka semakin tinggi pula kinerja guru. Kemampuan manajerial kepala sekolah memberikan sumbangan efektif yang paling besar terhadap variabel kinerja guru sebesar 20,56% serta sumbangan relatif sebesar 39% .

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) to understand the effect of principal leadership, infrastructure and teachers’ commitment together with teachers’ performance on the performance of teachers’, (2) understanding the effect of principal leadership on knowing teachers’, (3) to know the effect of infrastructure on the teachers’ performance, (4) knowing the effect of teachers’ commitment the teachers’ performanceThe research was held at the Junior High Schools in rayon 2nd Kebumen regency. The study population was a public Junior High Schools in rayon 2nd Kebumen regency there were 184 teachers. The sampling technique which using is proportionale random samples. Techniques of data collection using questionnaires. Analysis using Multiple Regression Analysis and Parcial Correlation.Based on the results of this study can be concluded: (1) there is a positive effect of principal leadership, infrastructure and commitment of teachers’ together with the teachers’ performance. It can be explained that principal leadership, infrastructure and commitment of teachers’ develop so the teachers’ performance increase, (2) there is a positive effect of the principal leadership on the teachers’ performance. It can be explained that principal leadership develop so the teachers’ performance increase, (3) there is a positive effect of infrastructure on the teachers’ performance in public. It can be explained that infrastructure develop so the teachers’ performance increase, (4) there is a positive effect of commitment of teachers on the teachers’ performance. It can be explained that commitment of teachers develop so the teachers’ performance increase.

Abstract

Influence of Teacher Competency, Principal’s Leadership, and Infrastructure of education toward Teacher Education Vocational School (SMK) in District Kebumen of academic year 2013/2014. The study aims to determine: a) The Influence of teacher competence, Principal’s leadership, and education infrastructure on teacher performancer, b) The Influence of teacher competence toward teacher performance, c) The Influence of school leadership toward teacher performance, d) The Influence of infrastructure of education toward teacher performance .The study was conducted in District Kebumen in the academic year 2014. This research is a quantitative one using survey method. The population of this research is 143 private vocational school teachers in District Kebumen. The sample of this research is 107 teachers and was taken by using proportional random sampling techniques. The data were Collected by using a questionnaires. Technical analysis of the data used the F test or ANOVA followed by hypothesis testing individual partial test (t-test). Processing data used SPSS v. 16. All Effective contribution was taken fram the analysis result of the value of the determination coefficient multiplied by 100 %, and the partially effective contribution by multiplying of the Standarted value Coefficiens Beta with Zero- order Correlation values multiplied by 100 % for each independent variable.   The results show that: (1) there is a positive and significant effect of teacher competence, school leadership, and education infrastructure jointly on the performance of private vocational school teachers in District Kebumen of 31.8%; (2) there is a positive and significant influence on the performance of 6.75%; (3) there is a positive and significant effect of 12.18%; (4) there is a positive and significant effect of infrastructure on the performance of 12.82%.Based on the results of this study suggested that the implications for improving the performance of vocational teachers can be done by increasing the competence of teachers, remind the quality of school leadership as well as complement the educational infrastructure needs that support learning.
