Abstract

The Impact of Principal Leadership, Welfare Work and Work Discipline Toward Teacher Performance of Junior High School in Kepil Subdistricts of Wonosobo regency in Academic year 2013/2014This study 1) aims to determine the impact of school leadership, welfare received by the teacher, and discipline of work on teacher performance of Junior High School in District Kepil of Wonosobo Regency.2) to prove which variable has the most dominant an teacher’s perfomence.The population of this research are all the govern teachers in Kepil subdistrict of Junior High Sshool concict of 94 teachers, all of them are as the sample. The trials conducted during the research are used for the valid data wich serve as the data reaserch as well. Data were collected using questionnaires which were answered immediately by the teachers. The data gathered from the questionnaires were analyzed statistically by multiple regression techniques.Described by percentage, the results showed that the majority of respondents stated that the principal leadership variables,welfare received by teachers variable, and the discipline variables were categorized very high, whereas the teachers’s performance variables is also categorized very high. As conclusion, the independent variable of school leadership, teacher welfare and work discipline together have positive and significant impact on the performance of teachers. The partial analysis shows that of school leadership has significantly positive impact on teacher’s performance. Teacher welfare is also has significantly positive impact on teacher’s performance, discipline variable has significantly positive impact on teacher performance. This suggests that if the leadership of the principal, welfare received by teachers, and discipline of work increase; the performance of teachers will also increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this reasearch is to get to know the planning, organisation, execution, surveillance, evaluation gained from the integrated education character through the school-based management in Sekolah Dasar Islam Terpadu Insan Mulia Wonosobo and knowing every obstacle happening and the solution for it. The approach of this research uses qualitative research, the procedure of data aggregation used is observation, interview and documentation. The technique of data analysis forms in qualitative, and the technique of data validity checking done by extending the observation period, continuous observation and source triangulation, triangulation of data aggregation technique and time triangulation. The result of the research gained is : through the integrated character education done according to the school-based management therefore the students of SDIT Insan Mulia Wonosobo have a good character besides achieving either academically or nonacademically and are able to compete in the competition. The school management done by empowering all the existing component by planting character values through (1) planning for the integrated character education committed by the foundation, the principal, the government, the commitee, the teachers and parents, (2) arranging organisation for the integrated character education done through the teaching component, curriculum structure and self-developing programme, (3) execution of the integrated character education committed by integrating Islam values into the subjects, prioritizing qudwah hasanah to create the character of the students, growing the biah solihah in the school climate and environment, involving parents and society to supportfor the sake of education purposes, increasing competention of the educational labours, self-developing activity and accustoming activity, (4) controlling the integrated character education through school-based management done simultaneously by the foundation, the principal, the teachers and parents, (5) evaluating the result of the integrated character education done by the foundation, the principal, the commitee, the teachers and parents which the implementation is done every quarter, semester and one year, (6) the obstacle is usually from the environment where the students live, the solution is to more empower the school cooperation together with parents and society.

Abstract

The Contribution of Teaching Experience, Motivation of Having Achievement, and Principal’s Transformational Leadership toward the Elementary School Teachers’ Work at the Imam Bonjol Group of Sapuran Subdistrict of Wonosobo Regency. This research is directed to analyze and prove the contribution of teaching experience, motivation of having achievement, and principal’s transformational leadership simultaneously and independently toward the Elementary School teachers’ work at the Imam Bonjol group of Sapuran subdistrict of Wonosobo regency. This research is carried out at the Imam Bonjol group of Sapuran subdistrict of Wonosobo regency. The population of this research is the Elementary School teachers at the Imam Bonjol group of Sapuran subdistrict of Wonosobo regency. The sampling technique used is Proportional Random Sampling by applying the Slovin’s Formula. Of teachers as much as 108 people obtained a sample of 86 people. In collecting the data, the researcher uses questionnaire. And in analyzing the data, the researcher appliesRegression analysis by using SPSS for window. The research says that there is a significant positive contribution of teaching experience, achievement motivation, and the principal's transformational leadership on teacher performance. It can be concluded that these three variables is a very closely related to the activity of the teaching profession. In the learning activities require teaching experience as a foundation so that teachers have the motivation to excel, while transformational leadership principals motivate teachers also needed to make changes that can improve their performance to obtain maximum results in learning.

Abstract

Influence Mastery Teacher Competence, Work Motivation and Information Technology Performance Against Public Elementary School Teachers in District Magelang Regency Salaman 2014.Tesis Year Management Studies Bachelor of Education Program Pascasarjana Wiyata Park University students Yogyakarta Teacher performance is closely related to the quality of education, so it is important to evaluate the activities that have been carried out by the teachers in order to produce quality Pendidika Goals to be achieved preformance of this study is to know the how much Influence Mastery Teacher Competence, Work Motivation da Mastery of Information Technology on Performance State Primary School teachers in the district of Magelang District 2014 Salaman both together (simultaneously) or in parsial.Selanjutnya this study also analyzed the moderating role of Magelang District Education Office on the effect of these three variables on the Performance of State Primary School Teachers in District Salaman Magelang District 2014. The population in this study were all teachers in the district School State Primary in District Magelang Regency Salaman District 2014, amounting to 375 person sample is determined based on the table of determining the number of samples that developed from Isaac and Michael that as many as 170 people, the number of samples from each school is determined by the method Purporive Random Sampling and Determination of respondents using simple random sampling method .Penelitian this process the primary data collected through the data kuesioner.Untuk determine the effect of independent variables on an depend- ent variable is done by F test at a significance level of 5% . Statistical analysis showed that the variables are the same Teacher Competence Mastery, Mastery Technology Work Motivation and Information on Performance in District Magelang Regency Salaman 2014 with regression value of 52.27%, this figure shows bahwa52,27% of teacher performance is determined three variables the while the remaining 47.73% is determined by other variables outside the control of the variable partial model.Secara teacher competency contribute effectively (SE) of 14.29%, 21.015% of work motivation and mastery of information technology by 14.77% in determining the performance of State Primary School teacher in District Magelang Regency Salaman 2014.

Abstract

Influence Admissions Professional Allowance, Work Motivation, Teaching Experience on Performance Kindergarten Teacher in District Kebumen Academic Year 2013/2014. This study aims to determine the effect of acceptance allowance, work motivation and teaching experience jointly or individually the kindergarten teacher performance as the District Kebumen. This research was conducted in the District Kebumen. The study population was akindergarten teacher in District Kebumen, totaling 77 people. The sampling technique used is proportional random sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and data analysis techniques using multiple regression analysis and partial correlation. The results indicated a significant positive influence acceptance allowance, work motivation and teaching experience together and individually on teacher performance. It can be explained that if the variable allowance receipts, work motivation and teaching experience have increased the variable performance of teachers will also increase. There was a significant positive influence reception allowance on teacher performance. It can be explained that if the reception allowance increases, the performance of teachers will increase. There is a very significant positive effect on the performance of teachers' work motivation. It can be explained that if the work motivation of teachers has increased, then the performance will increase. There is a very significant positive effect of teaching experience on teacher performance. It can be explained that if the teaching experience of teachers is increasing the performance of teachers will be increased.

Abstract

The research was intended to identify (a) simultaneously contribution of principals development for teacher, facilities and teacher welfare on teacher working productivity (b) partial contribution of principal development for teacher on teacher working productivity (c) partial contribution of facility on teacher working produtivity and (d) partial contribution of teacher welfare on teacher working productivity. The population of this research were all of primary school teachers in Jetis district Yogyakarta which totally 251 persons. The sample was 156 persons which was taken by Nomogram Harry King formula at the 5% signification with Proportionate Random Sampling technique. In collecting data the researcher used questionaire. The data analysis technique used multiple regression and partial correlations with level significancy is 5%. The result of research indicated that (a) there is significantly positive contribution of principal development for teacher, facilities, and teacher welfare on teacher working productivity in simultaneous manner. It means that increase and decrease in teacher working productivity one of which is determined by the principal development for teacher, facilities, and teacher welfare, (b) there is significantly positive partial contribution of principal development for teacher on teacher working productivity. Better principal development for teacher will support the teacher working productivity (c) there is significantly positive partial contibution of facilities on teacher working productivity. Better facilities will support teacher working produktivity. (d) there is significantly positive partial contribution of teacher welfare on teacher working productivity. Better teacher welfare will support teacher working productivity.

Abstract

School principal leadership is an important thing to improve the professionalism of teacher. This study aims: (a) to know the leadership style of school principal; (b) to know the role of school principal’s leadership improve the teacher’s professionalism; (c) to know the teacher’s professionalism in ABA Kindergarten Bayen Kalasan. This study is descriptive qualitative approach. It was held in ABA Kindergarten Bayen Purwomartani Kalasan Sleman Yogyakarta. The respondents in this study are school principal, vice school principal, teachers and school committee of ABA Kindergarten Bayen Kalasan. The methods used to collect the data are observation, interview and documentation. The method used to analyze the data is descriptive qualitative with interactive model from Miles and Huberman who divided the analysis activities through: data collection, data reduction, data display and data verification/conclusion. The study shows that the style of school principal leadership at ABA Kindergarten Bayen Kalasan has had a democratic style, although in certain condition, school principal has an authoritarian and libertarian style. The school principal has been being democratic in the discussion in making decision, always listen to the teacher’s opinion, giving solution for any problem and supporting the teacher. The school principal can be authoritarian toward regulations and in increasing discipline for school administration and also in the school’s rules. Interestingly, the school principal has been using three principals of Ki Hajar Dewantara in applying her leadership styles, those principals are give a good example in the front, support in the middle and give freedom in the back (ing ngarso sung tuladha, ing madya mangun karsa, tut wuri handayani). With those leadership styles, the school principal has been doing her roles to build teacher’s professionalism as an educator, manager, motivator, innovator, leader and supervisor. With those roles, theschool principal had increased the professional competencies in process, pedagogic, personal and social.

Abstract

This reseach is aimed to find out the implementation of the management of multicultural education on characteristic value in SMP 1 Bantul DIY. The implementation is found out through learning, extra curricular, and habitual activities. This research is a qualitative research which is done in SMP 1 Bantul DIY, that is located at Jl Kartini No 44 Bantul. The data collecting technique in the research are interview, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used in this research is qualitative analysis. It is done through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The data validity checking used in this research is the lengthen of the observation, the continuity of the observation, and the data triangulation. The conclusion of this research shows that SMP 1 Bantul holds its education management and integrates multicultural education in learning management to all subjects, extra curricular activities, and habitual activities. The management of multicultural education on characteristic value in SMP 1 Bantul is done through some steps of planning, organizing, actuating, controlling, and evaluating. (1) The planning is done through arranging RKAS (school budget), curriculum (KTSP), and lesson plan (RPP) which are done by all teachers and each lesson plan must include characteristic value. (2) The organizing is done through some coordination and task distribution for all teachers. (3) The actuating is done through learning and teaching activities, extra curricular, and habitual activities. In learning and teaching and extra curricular activities, teacher train, discipline, cooperation, tolerant, and apreciation on differences. In habitual activities, students must obey the school rules and etic values. (4) The controlling is done through monitoring and supervising activities. The monitoring and supervising on teachers are done by the headmaster. The monitoring and supervising on students are done by writing down some misbehaves in school rule record book. (5) The evaluating is done by formal evaluation by teachers and non formal evaluation through evaluation discussion meeting. The evaluation by teachers are attitude mark personality and good behavior mark. The obstacles in carrying out the management of multicultur education are: there are some programs that are done less maximumly and there are some school members that do not support the programs.

Abstract

This study aims at getting and overview of planning, implementing, and accomplishing management of extracurricular instruction in relation to the improvement of students’ achievement in SMP Negeri I Prembun, Kebumen Regency. This study employs qualitative research. The sample of the study was obtained by a purposive sampling technique which was conducted based on various informants of management of extracurricular instruction in relation to the improvement of students’ achievement in SMP Negeri I Prembun, Kebumen Regency. The key informants of this study were The Principal and Teachers. The data collection was obtained by conducting structured and unstructured interview, observation and document review. The data analysis was done by using qualitative data analysis technique, which consist of organizing data trough categorization, grouping, and giving series number based on the chronological order at the time the data were obtained. The data validity was conducted by continuous observation, triangulation of source and method. The result of the study has shown some conclusion namely 1. The arrangement of management of extracurricular instruction in SMP Negeri I Prembun, Kebumen Regency already has been implemented in good way in relation to the improvement of students’ achievement. 2. The achievement of SMP Negeri I Prembun is fairly good; top ten of the biggest score in national examination in Kebumen Regency, and winning at championship events. 3. The implementation of extracurricular instruction has no serious obstacle. 4. The planning, organizing activities, evaluation and supervision of management of extracurricular instruction in SMP Negeri I Prembun has been involving all of school components. The researcher suggests school administrator to continue employing extracurricular instruction to improving students’ achievements since the extracurricular instruction aims to develop and strengthen their talent and preferred learning in line with the field they have decided so the students have good achievement.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the awareness of student’s parents in improving the quality of education in SMP Negeri 2 Kota Magelang of the focus was the response of student’s parents in improving the quality of education, the involvement of student’s parents in decision-making, implementation,research and the factors those contribute the greatest concern of parents of students in the program to improve the quality of education in SMP Negeri 2 Kota Magelang. This study was a qualitative-naturalistic study conducted to the SMP Negeri 2 Kota Magelang, Central Java. The data collection techniques were: participant observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data were obtained through in-depth interviews and triangulation of data through sources. The analysis of the data was done with data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research showed that involvement of student’s parents in improving the quality of education in SMP Negeri 2 Kota Magelang was high enough. They involved from the planning phase to the implementation of supervision. To improve the quality of education, school has a strategy with appoint a coordinator from one of the student’s parent. Contribution of parents in the program of improving the quality of education included four aspects, those were planing, organizing, monitoring/supervising, and finance. The aspect that have the greatest contributed to the education quality improvement program was the financial aspect.
