BAPEDAL, The Environment Impact Management Agency is responsible for the air pollution control. In addressing the air pollution BAPEDAL launched the "Blue Sky Program". This program consist of two component, air pollution from the mobile sources and the air pollution from stationary sources.

Abstract

Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technologies are now being developed year by year. Some of technologies are already applied in pilot or commercial scale in actual oilfields. Meanwhile, conditions for the exploration of new oil fields are becoming more severe. Accordingly the qualification as being an operator in many oil companies is going to be justified in terms of their capability in EOR technology in addition to the capability of exploring new oil fields.

Abstract

The ASCOPE Correlation Programme for octane number measurement obtains precision octane number data for gasoline using the CFR engine and the normally used method: ASTM 2699 and IP 237. The test results of the various participating laboratories are subjected to statistical analysis to determine average values, variance, standard deviation and to reject the outliers values. The Grubbs T-test is used for the statistical rejection of outliers. This method is used by both NEG and ASCOPE in their laboratory test correlation programme. The Grubb T-test appears to be quite satisfactory for ASCOPE purposes. The implementation of the Grubbs T-test assures inter-laboratory consistency and this in turn will give the buyer or seller of the gasoline confidence in the quality of the fuel.

In the real well test analysis, to identify an exact reservoir model in heterogeneous reservoirs is very difficult. The geological model will guide the direction of the well test interpretations. For the similar reservoir condition, a different reservoir model.

Abstract

Analog single channel seismic recording is a conventional technique commonly used in subsurface profiling. One of its advantage is the resolution much higher than that of digital seismic recording. This advantage can be very useful in interpreting detail stratigraphic and structural subsurface features of the digital seismic section. In this case both profile are complementary.

Abstract

The continual shortage of domestic crude oil requires optimum oil and gas conservation practices to ensure maximum recovery from the reservoirs. Oil production from reservoirs by natural (primary) drive mechanisms is often an inefficient process which may leave considerably more “residual” oil trapped behind the reservoirs than can be produced.

The Radon transform has been used in exploration seismology for a decade. It consists of stacking seismic traces along a line of constant ray parameter p. this transform is used to map seismic data from time distance space into tau-p space, where tau is the intercept time.
