Abstract

Quadriplegic is a term that is used as the identification of individual who have difficulty in optimizing the function of the body. Various obstacles faced by raising various negative reactions from the quadriplegic. Types of schools chosen by the individual quadriplegic as a means to get an education can bring out difference in environmental conditions encountered, which will certainly affect the learning performance of the individual. Outside of the phenomenon, uniquely, researcher found that there were cases of quadriplegic who attended public school and extraordinary school, which are able to accept the condition of themselves to be able to achieve the achievement in adolescence. Self-acceptance is an individual consciousness to accept the conditions of self as it is, which self-acceptance is one of the individual development task that are in the age range in adolescence. Based on this thing, the researcher is interested to find out about the process of self-acceptance on meritorious quadriplegic adolescent. This study used a qualitative research method with case study research design. Respondents in this study can be divided into two categories based on gender that is male and female, which in each category used each number one respondent. The result of this study indicates that there are three phases passed by quadriplegic adolescents in the process of self-acceptance, which is the initial phase, conflict phase, and the receiving phase. There are some differences in the dynamics at each phase that passed between male and female quadriplegic adolescents. Abstract

As one of the sites used for marketing products, FJB Kaskus cannot be separated from the scams that a common in e-commerce business. Nevertheless, the velocity of money in FJB Kaskus has reached 100 billion dollars each month in which the figure has even beat omzet of Amazon.com for sale to the Regional Indonesian (Hartanto, 2009). This shows the importance of trust as a major factor that must be built in order to be able to attract consumers to buying. Trust not just be recognized by the other party or e-tailers due to the trust must be created from scratch and can be proven (Rofiq, 2007). Trust cannot be easily recognized by other party or e-tailers because trust must be created from beginning and can be proven (Rofiq, 2007). This research was aimed to determine the overview of consumer trust in online shopping at FJB Kaskus. This research used qualitative methods and phenomenology design. Data were collected by using interview and observation technique with 5 respondents with experience in online shopping repeatedly at FJB Kaskus. The result of this research shows that consumer trust can be described using trusting belief and trusting intention. Besides that, website information and seller information may affect consumer trust in online shopping at FJB Kaskus. Key words: consumer trust, online shopping, FJB Kaskus.

Abstract

Student is a learner who has moral duties in applying Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi consisted of three important missions, which are implementing education, research, and community service. One embodinent of community service is being involved in the organizational activities around campus. Student activists have an immense relation with the role of emotional intelligence since they have more responsibilities than those who are not actively participating in organisation. In addition to running the missions of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi, students would also encounter personal problem and be faced with school’s demands. The purpose of conducting this research is to investigate the correlation of emotional intelligence and academic achievement of student organization activists at University of Udayana. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random sampling. Subjects were 129 student activists at University of Udayana, age ranged from 17 to 25 years old. Emotional intelligence scale was deployed based on emotional intelligence aspects proposed by Goleman (2002). Transcripts were also collected to determine academic achievement of the subjects, aside from spreading the emotional intelligence scale. Karl Pearson product-moment correlation analysis was conducted to observe correlation of emotional intelligence and academic achievement. Correlation coefficient value obtained from the result of analysis performed on the variables, emotional intelligence and academic achievement, were -0.204 and P of 0.021 (p<0.05). This result shows that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement, which also indicates that the increase of emotional intelligence is followed by the decrease of academic achievement on student organization activists. The number of organizations in which the subjects participated in, various activities performed outside campus, and other external factors of research’s subjects contributed to the effect of academic achievements. Abstract

Love intensity is an important element to build a commitment in a dating relationship. The success in building love intensity greatly influenced by someone’s experience with people around them included their parents. Authoritative parenting style that applied to their children influence their children’s love intensity in their relationship at late adolescent. Adolescent who has high self-monitoring increase their ability to adapt with social environment include to their boyfriend or girlfriend. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of authoritative parenting style and self-monitoring toward someone’s love intensity in a relationship at late adolescents in Faculty of Medicine Udayana University. Subjects in this research were 145 late adolescents who are dating in Faculty of Medicine Udayana University. The instruments in this research were love intensity scale, authoritative parenting style scale and self-monitoring scale. The result of multiple regression analysis shows R=0,307 (F=7,407; p<0,05) thus it can be stated that both authoritative parenting style and self-monitoring together contributes to love intensity in dating relationship. Determination coefficient = 0,094 which means the effective contribution of authoritative parenting style and self-monitoring to love intensity is 9,4%. The result of product moment correlation analysis shows correlation coefficient between authoritative parenting style and love intensity is 0,301 (p<0,05) which means that authoritative parenting style and love intensity have a positive correlation. While the result of product moment correlation analysis shows correlation coefficient between self-monitoring and love intensity is 0,154 (p<0,05) which means that self-monitoring and love intensity have a positive correlation. Abstract

Anxiety before the National Exam often perceived by third grade high school students. Anxiety not only affect physical condition, but also student learning activities in school when preparing the National Exam. This study aims to find level differences of third grade high school student’s anxiety in Denpasar in terms of self-efficacy and participation in tutoring before the National Exam Subjects are 266 third grade high school students in Denpasar which consists of students who join and not join tutoring. The instrument of this research are anxiety and self-efficacy scale that has been tested the validity and reliability of the scale, with Cronbach's alpha values anxiety scale=0.807 and Cronbach's alpha values of self-efficacy scale=0.758. Results of analysis covariance showed F=66.953;p<0.05, which means participation in tutoring and self-efficacy contributes to third grade high school students’s anxiety in Denpasar towards the National Exam. Differences in student’s anxiety based on participation in tutoring significantly indicates p=0.000 (p<0.05;F=17.578), which means that there’s differences in the level of anxiety among students who participate and didn’t participate tutoring. While the interaction of self-efficacy as covariance with anxiety has a significance of p=0.000 (p<0.05;F=116.123) this showed that self-efficacy significantly interact with anxiety. The contribution of self-efficacy and participation in tutoring to anxiety showed the adjusted R square 0.332 which means that self-efficacy and participation in tutoring can explain the varians anxiety of student by 33.2%. Results also showed that participation in the tutoring does not guarantee lower levels of student’s anxiety. Keywords: Anxiety, Third Grade High School Students, Self Efficacy, Opt in Tutoring

Abstract

Adjustment is an important mental aspects that determine a person's success in dealing with various problems in his life. The mental aspect is related to one's belief in the ability to control various obstacles and use your own potential. In addition, the mental aspect is also strongly associated with a positive response from the environment.The purpose of this research is to find out the role of self efficacy and peers social support toward personal adjustment in Medical School Udayana University. Subjects in this research were 137 first-year students Medical School Udayana University. The instruments in this research were self-efficacy scale, peers social support scale and personal adjustment scale. The result of multiple regression analysis shows R=0,605 (F=38,776; p<0,05) thus it can be stated that both self-efficacy and peers social support together contributes to personal adjustment. Determination coefficient = 0,367, which means the effective contribution of self-efficacy and peers social support to personal adjustment is 36,7%. Standardized beta coefficient of self-efficacy is 0,457 (t=5,935; p<0,05) thus it can be stated self-efficacy contribute to personal adjustment. Standardized beta coefficient of peers social support is 0,242 (t=3,141; p<0,05) thus it can be stated peers social support contribute to personal adjustment. Abstract

The self-concept is a very important mental aspect in a early adolescent’s life because it can influence their behavior. Self-concept is not innate, but rather influenced by environmental stimuli at an early age. Family condition is one of the environmental stimuli that can influence self-concept. In outside-the home life, the responses of peers while interacting also contribute significantly to the self-concept. This study aims to determine the roles of family harmony and peer acceptance to teenagers’ self-concept of Junior High School adolescent in Denpasar. Subjects in this study were 224 of Junior High School adolescent in Denpasar, represented by the State Junior High School 1 of Denpasar. Instruments in this study were self-concept scale, family harmony and scale of peer acceptance. The results of multiple regression analysis shows that R = 0.560 (F = 50.395, p <0.05), it can be stated that the harmony of the family and peer acceptance jointly contribute to the self-concept. Determination coefficient of 0.313 indicates that the effective contribution of family harmony and peer acceptance to the self-concept amounted to 31.3%. Standardized beta values on family harmony with the self-concept is 0.285 (p <0.05) whereas peer acceptance with the self-concept at 0.361 (p <0.05). Thus it can be stated the role of peer acceptance is greater than the harmony of the family for the self- concept. Abstract

Problems in dating relationship may lead to violence such as emotional abuse that usually can lead to physical abuse and sexual abuse. The need for the role of parents in control and give examples of behaviour to adolescents directly or indirectly. Children will bring exemplified parents into the social environment as communication patterns. Family communication patterns is divided into four, namely Pluralistic, Consensual, Laissez-Faire, and Protective. Communication patterns are different in every family will indirectly establish a different personality for each adolescents. Based on the exposure, this study has the objective to determine differences in emotional abuse in adolescents who are dating is based on communication patterns within the family. Subjects in this study were 75 people late adolescents who are dating and live with parents at Udayana University. Instruments in this research is the Emotional Abuse scale and Revised Family Communication Pattern (RFCP) scale. One Way ANOVA analysis results showed p=0,031 (F=3,138; p<0,05) can thus be noted that there are differences in emotional abuse in adolescents who are dating is based on communication patterns within the family. Differences are also evident from the pattern of Pluralistic group communication and Laissez-Faire contained probability value p=0,043 (p<0,05), which means that Ho is rejected or there is a difference between communication patterns within the family group pluralistic and Laissez-Faire. Adolescents who grew up with communication patterns Laissez-Faire has a higher tendency to do emotional abuse in couples than adolescents who grew up with pluralistic communication patterns.
