Abstract

This research aims to design an ontology model representing knowledge concerning Balinese masks, particularly focusing on their functions and uses. The methodology employed encompasses stages including specification, knowledge acquisition, conceptualization, integration, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. Implementation utilized Protégé software, resulting in 7 classes, 8 object properties, 5 data properties, and 26 instances related to Balinese Masks. Testing involved SPARQL queries to retrieve information on Balinese masks based on criteria such as function, motif, name, region, and artist. Test results demonstrate the efficacy of the ontology model in addressing relevant inquiries. This study seeks to offer information and digital documentation on Balinese masks, particularly regarding their function and use, thereby contributing to the preservation of this cultural heritage.

Abstract

Decision support system as problem solving for accepting job applicants with objective assessment. This system has the function of getting the best way or solution in providing decisions that require complex calculations, with the best way being provided by mathematical algorithms combined with computing. In this case, the recommendation system will be able to help find a list of permanent employees from a collection of data in the database easily and efficiently. The application of this decision support system cannot be separated from a method that supports it, as applied in this research, namely the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to run an appropriate algorithm with weighting for many criterias at the system. Using this method to develop a recommendation system will be in accordance with the aim of creating a system for determining decisions for prospective employees in a business element.

Abstract

This research employs the sentiment analysis of GoTube application reviews using Naïve Bayes based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The study focuses on addressing the challenge of efficiently managing and analyzing user comments in the development of the GoTube application. By implementing automated sentiment analysis using text mining techniques, developers can enhance user experience and save resources. The methodology involves data collection, preprocessing, feature extraction using TF-IDF, classification using Naïve Bayes, and evaluation with various parameters. Additionally, Particle Swarm Optimization is utilized for feature selection to enhance the performance of the Naïve Bayes Classifier. The study aims to contribute to the improvement of GoTube's service quality and user satisfaction.

Abstract

Mental health apps have attracted significant attention as a digital solution to address psychological well-being issues. This study aims to design an intuitive and user-friendly interface for a mental health app using a design thinking approach. The methodology used involved five stages: empathy, problem definition, idea development, prototyping, and user testing. Through empathy mapping and interviews with stakeholders, user needs and challenges were identified. Based on these insights, core problems were defined, and idea development techniques were used to generate design concepts. An interactive prototype was developed and evaluated using the System Usability Scale (SUS) method involving 10 participants. The average SUS score of 76.5 indicated good usability and user acceptance. However, user feedback was integrated for further optimization. This study concludes that the design thinking approach effectively facilitated the creation of an intuitive and user-centered interface for a mental health app. Future research can explore the integration of advanced features and evaluate the app's impact on mental wellbeing outcomes.

Abstract

In the medical world, measles is an infectious disease that has long been known and is still a global health problem. Measles is divided into two main types, rubeola measles and rubella measles.This study is conducted to build a diagnose system for measles disease with CaseBased Reasoning (CBR). Case-based reasoning (CBR) is a method in artificial intelligence that solves problems by analyzing solutions from similar cases that have occurred before. CBR can eliminate the need to extract models or sets of rules. Knowledge acquisition in CBR is based on a collection of experiences or previous cases. The Bayesian model is used as indexing to find the type of measles CBR in this study. The test was carried out by using 35 cases that were stored in case base and 20 case bases serve as a new case.

Abstract

Culture is a collection of beliefs and traditions passed down from generation to generation by a group of people. The island of Bali is one of the places rich in culture and traditions. Each district in Bali has its own unique culture and traditions. This cultural diversity and tradition serve as an attraction for domestic and international tourists who want to visit the island of Bali. To help tourists get to know more about Balinese culture and find places to eat according to their preferences, this research aims to develop a website-based application. This website is developed using the User-Centered Design method. This website can be a solution for tourists who want to visit Bali to see local traditions and culture or enjoy the typical dishes found on the island of Bali.

Abstract

In this digital era, using learning applications is an alternative way to master programming. Conventional methods are considered less efficient, so a programming learning application is needed that can be adapted to user needs and provide a satisfactory user experience. Usability is an important factor in determining effectiveness and user comfort level. To meet success, a system or application must meet user expectations and produce a positive user experience. The data collected is primary data of a qualitative nature. To evaluate the system, the system usability scale method is used. The research results show that on average 23 respondents, the system usability scale score is 40 (worst imaginable). This score is still below the average, namely 68, so a redesign is needed to improve the user experience of the system.

Abstract

As we know, Bali is one of the world destinations and can develop its tourism well. Apart from being famous for its natural beauty nature, culture and friendly people, Bali also offers a variety of culinary delights for tourists that can be ordered at restaurants, tourist objects or at hotels there. Many recommendations for places or restaurants/eating places with various mainstay menus are needed to make it easier for tourists to find the food menus they want and meet their budget. In this research expected to be solved by combining the Methodology technique with a semantic ontology model. Designing an ontology model for restaurant/dining recommendations in Bali using the protégé application, the ontology model was developed into a structure for students with classes, attributes, and other elements arranged hierarchically. To get the right answers, the ontology assessment procedure using SPARQL queries is employed.

Abstract

With the current technological advancements, there has been significant progress in monitoring systems, one of which is the rice storage monitoring system. Monitoring systems that were previously manual can now be automated and more efficient using IoT technology. This system is designed to monitor the temperature, air humidity, and air quality in rice storage facilities. IoT devices that can be used to design this system include NodeMCU ESP 8266, DHT 11 sensor and MQ-2 sensor. Additionally, a server and website are required for monitoring purposes. By utilizing NodeMCU ESP8266, which can connect to a Wi-Fi network, data from the sensors can be monitored online through a website. The design of this system employs the Research and Development method commonly used for product development. The aim of this system design is to simplify the monitoring of rice storage facilities for increased efficiency.

Abstract

This research developed an automatic mangosteen fruit maturity classification system utilizing image processing techniques and machine learning algorithms. The proposed system employed the Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier with feature extraction based on the Hue, Saturation, and Value (HSV) color space from mangosteen fruit images. A dataset consisting of 140 mangosteen fruit images, with 70 ripe and 70 unripe samples, was constructed. Preprocessing steps, including cropping and resizing, were applied to standardize the image dimensions. The RGB color images were converted to the HSV color, and the mean values of Hue, Saturation, and Value were extracted as features for classification. The SVM algorithm with a linear kernel was trained using these features to discriminate between ripe and unripe mangosteen fruits. Evaluation using a confusion matrix demonstrated the system's high classification accuracy of 96%, with satisfactory precision, and recall for both classes. The proposed system exhibits potential for application in the agricultural industry, enabling automated quality assessment, postharvest management, and maximizing the commercial value of mangosteen fruits. This technology can assist producers in rapidly and accurately classifying mangosteen fruits.
