Abstract

In this article, we introduce a new hybrid model called Dual Hesitant N-Soft Sets (DHNSS). This new model is clarified and reformulated as a combination of dual and hesitancy with N-soft sets. We investigate the basic operations of DHNSS. Our novel model is illustrated with real life examples. Moreover, we propose the decision making algorithm to see the application of this model.

Abstract

In Indonesia there are many companies that are engaged in tire retreading or reuse of unused used tires. One of the problems in the retread business in Indonesia is that the tire production target is often not fulfilled and the lack of available tires is used as the main raw material for retreading due to the long process of sending tires from consumers to companies. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal needs of resources, determine the priority of achievement and determine the value of sensitivity to the optimum solution achieved. The method used in this study is the Goal Programming Method, because it is suitable for problems that have many goals because through its deviation, the method can automatically capture information about the relative achievement of the goals to be achieved. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the maximum income earned by the company is IDR 474,426,000 or an increase of 36% from the limit set by the company. In addition, it can also be concluded that the sensitivity range for the boundary quantity value is the distance at which the shadow price remains valid. If it increases above the upper limit of sensitivity (increases) or decreases below the lower limit (decreases), the value of the shadow price will change.

Abstract

We present a rigorous elementary analysis of the communication complexity of the Divide-and-Conquer Diffie-Hellman Key Agreement Protocol (DC-DHKA). The analysis is conducted by first determining the number of transmissions in DC-DHKA and then comparing the resulting communication complexity of this protocol with other variants of Diffie-Hellman key agreement protocols that utilize regular Diffie-Hellman key, namely the ING, GDH.1, GDH.2, and GDH.3 protocols. The mathematical and numerical analyses show that the total number of bits transmitted in the DC-DHKA protocol is always fewer than those of ING, GDH.1, and GDH.2 protocols for a group of N >= 19 participants. In addition, we also prove that the total number of bits required for the entire messages’ transmissions in DC-DHKA protocol for N participants that uses the multiplicative group Fq* is log2(q) 2^(log2(N)) (log2(N) + 1) - 2.

Abstract

We investigate some algorithmic and mathematical aspects of Yin-Yang/Shiromaru-Kuromaru puzzles. Specifically, we discuss two algorithms for solving arbitrary Yin-Yang puzzles, namely the exhaustive search approach and the prune-and-search technique. We show that both algorithms have an identical asymptotic running time of O(max{mn, 2^(mn−h)}) for finding all solutions of a Yin-Yang instance with h hints of size m x n. Nevertheless, our experiments show that the practical running time of the prune-and-search technique outperforms the conventional exhaustive search approach.

Abstract

HIV-1 is a virulent virus, it has the ability to easily spread the virus. This study aims to optimally control the spread of the HIV-1 virus with SIPA (Susceptible-Infection-PreAIDSAIDS) model by using nutritional status and ARV-treatment. Assessment of nutritional status is carried out on people with HIV/AIDS (ODHA). The results showed that the control in the form of nutritional status and ARV-treatment was able to reduce the infected subpopulation. Routine assessment of nutritional status can form balanced nutrition for ODHA. ARV-treatment works by reducing the amount of HIV viral load, so that HIV infection cannot cause disorders of the immune system.

Abstract

In this paper, we are interested in the numerical results on the temperature and velocity profiles over a sphere of unsteady nano fluid by dealing with the effect of Prandtl, mixed convection, and magnetohydrodynamics. We first employ the boundary layer theory to establish the continuity, momentum, and energy equations. We further solve those differential equations numerically by using the finite difference scheme of Crank-Nicolson and Thomas algorithm for the iteration technique. The temperature and velocity profiles are established graphically for the variations of Prandtl, mixed convection, and magnetohydrodynamics. The velocity profile decreases when the variations of Prandtl numbers increase. Moreover, the velocity profiles increase when the variations of mixed convection and magnetohydrodynamics are increased. The temperature profiles are decreased for all variations of Prandtl numbers, mixed convection and magnetohydrodynamics.
