Abstract

This literature review explores the impact of digital marketing on the sales effectiveness and market expansion of MSMEs. It examines the role of digital strategies such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (PPC), and social media in enhancing the visibility and reach of MSMEs in the digital world. These strategies help MSMEs rank higher on search engines and target specific customer segments, thus improving market access and conversion rates. However, the adoption of digital marketing by MSMEs is challenged by limited technological knowledge and inadequate access to digital infrastructure, especially in rural areas. The review highlights the importance of government and institutional support, including training programs, digital platform access, and financial assistance, to help MSMEs leverage digital technologies effectively. Furthermore, the review discusses how digitalization initiatives, such as ecommerce and digital payment systems, contribute to MSME growth and competitiveness. By synthesizing existing research, this study underscores the synergy between digital marketing strategies and MSME empowerment in fostering long-term business sustainability and economic growth. The findings suggest that overcoming digital adoption challenges with proper support mechanisms can enhance MSMEs' market presence and sales performance in a competitive digital economy.

Abstract

This literature review employs a scoping review methodology to synthesize research on the relationship between employee empowerment and job satisfaction across organizational contexts. The research begins by defining the primary question: how does employee empowerment impact job satisfaction in various industries? A review protocol is developed, setting specific inclusion criteria for studies published between 2019 and 2024, with additional supporting studies from 2014 to 2018. Exclusion criteria include studies not in English or Indonesian, or those not directly related to the topic. Relevant studies are gathered from databases such as ProQuest, Emerald, Scopus, and ResearchGate, using keywords like "employee empowerment" and "job satisfaction." The literature is initially screened through titles and abstracts, followed by a full review of the remaining articles. Data extraction is performed using a chart to capture key information including author details, research focus, methodology, and findings related to empowerment and job satisfaction. Finally, the findings are synthesized, offering insights into the various ways employee empowerment enhances job satisfaction across different organizational settings. This approach provides valuable guidance for future research and organizational practices, demonstrating the significant role of empowerment in improving employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

This study explores the interplay between job satisfaction, Work-Life Balance (WLB), and employee performance, highlighting the critical role of organizational training and support. Job satisfaction has long been recognized as a key driver of employee performance, fostering motivation and engagement. The research suggests that organizations providing continuous learning opportunities can enhance job satisfaction, which in turn positively impacts performance. Moreover, work-life balance has a significant influence on both job satisfaction and employee performance, particularly when organizations implement supportive policies such as flexible working hours. However, the effects of WLB can vary across employee types, with temporary employees sometimes showing less concern for WLB in favor of job stability. Training also plays a pivotal role in improving employee performance by equipping workers with relevant skills and reducing stress. In high-pressure environments, targeted and relevant training can have a more substantial impact on job satisfaction and performance than merely promoting work-life balance. This study emphasizes that while WLB and job satisfaction are interconnected, organizational factors such as leadership, training, and commitment are essential in maximizing employee performance. Ultimately, a balanced approach that integrates WLB with effective training and organizational support can enhance overall workforce productivity.
