Abstract

The availability of blood is highly dependent on donors. The phenomenon of the perception of blood as expensive or sold is also often heard, which means that distrust of blood donors affects the motivation to donate. Increasing perception with donor motivation as volunteers to be willing to help patients in need. For this reason, we are interested in research on the influence of self-determination theory on donor perceptions. The research method used is quantitative SEM PLS with the help of the Wrap PLS 7.0 calculation tool. The research sample used the V region of East Java, Indonesia because this area is most often hit by natural disasters so the blood donor is needed. All question items have been valid and reliable with the results of the study explaining the very good model of Amotivation, External Regulation, Introjected Regulation has no effect on perception. Identification regulation, integration regulation, intrinsic regulation can be used to build blood donor perceptions.

Abstract

Orientalism is still relevant today, even in its changing manifestations, in a world defined by globalization, technological innovation, and altering geopolitical environments. Orientalism was first used by Edward Said to criticize how the West saw the East, but term has since expanded to include a wider range of power relationships, cultural narratives, and perspectives. This article seeks to reinterpret orientalism in the context of world peace by examining its ramifications, difficulties, and potential benefits for promoting mutual understanding and collaboration amongst various cultural and societal groups. Utilizing multidisciplinary viewpoints from postcolonial studies, international relations, and cultural theory, this piece puts forth a nuanced interpretation of orientalism that recognizes its complicated past while arguing for its transformative capacity to foster communication, compassion, and unity in a globalized society. The study employs qualitative approaches such as in-depth interviews, discussions with historians, scholars, and university instructors, as well as library research.

Abstract

To effectively achieve the objective of this research, a thorough analysis will be conducted on the implementation of the curriculum in school education. This analysis will encompass both the visible and concealed components, with the aim of identifying any shortcomings in the curriculum. A study was conducted in the community schools of Kathmandu to examine the factors that contribute to the difference between the expected learning outcomes of school education and the actual results outlined in the curriculum. Throughout the investigation, students and teachers from five community schools situated on the outskirts of Kathmandu's suburbs enthusiastically took part. The authors utilized a range of methods to collect data, such as conducting in-depth interviews, leading group discussions, and making direct observations. Based on the findings of the study, it has been concluded that educational activities that prioritize the development of meaningful connections offer more benefits compared to those that hinder the acquisition of practical knowledge and skills. The curriculum provides the necessary resources to support instructional activities that are guided by instructors and actively engage learners. Students can develop essential academic and cross-curricular skills with the help of this approach. In order to promote the development of students with diverse abilities and knowledge, it is crucial for the curriculum to acknowledge the negative impact of insufficient instruction and an excessive focus on high-stakes assessments. Due to this, there has been a strong focus on instructional and learning strategies that prioritize examinations.

Abstract

This research paper presents a case study analysis of the experiences of master's degree students during online classes amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on participants from Butwal, Nepal and various other regions. The study involved interviews with ten students and five teachers who actively engaged in online learning during this period. The findings reveal that the COVID-19 pandemic had a profound impact, leading to widespread disruptions, including significant economic challenges that continue to affect many nations. The pandemic altered nearly every aspect of human life, bringing about substantial changes in people's lifestyles. The study highlights that a majority of students encountered difficulties related to internet connectivity, which hindered their ability to participate in classes effectively and grasp key concepts. Moreover, many students reported lack of adequate knowledge of online learning tools, further complicating their educational experience. Similarly, teachers reported facing challenges in managing online classes, primarily due to issues with internet connectivity. The insights gained from this study underscore the need for enhancing teachers' technical proficiency and call for improved regulation of internet and electricity services to better support online education in future crises.

Abstract

This study explores the differences between kernel intersections and individual kernel spaces in Hilbert spaces. These differences are crucial for understanding the relationship between linear operators and their compositions. The main findings establish necessary conditions for the inequality dim (Ker (AB)) ≥ dim (Ker(A)) + dim (Ker (B) ∩ B′) to hold, where A and B are bounded linear operators, Ker denotes the kernel, and B′ is the image of B. The proofs rely on Hilbert space properties, closed subspaces, and operator ranges. Although the results are presented in the context of Hilbert spaces, the authors discuss potential extensions to other spaces with similar properties. The paper concludes by emphasizing the broader relevance of these inequalities in various fields of mathematics, including functional analysis, optimization, and potentially other disciplines that deal with continuous quantities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work environment, and work motivation on employee performance at the Ijen District Office, Bondowoso Regency. This quantitative research involved the entire population of 30 employees, consisting of 25 civil servants and 5 contract workers, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and literature review, and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results show that leadership style (t = 3.621; p = 0.001), work environment (t = 2.271; p = 0.032), and work motivation (t = 2.450; p = 0.021) each have a significant partial effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, these three variables also have a significant effect on employee performance (F-value = 42.675 > F-table = 2.975) with a coefficient of determination of 83.12%. Leadership style emerged as the most dominant factor influencing performance. These findings highlight the importance of improving leadership quality, enhancing the work environment, and strengthening motivation through reward systems to boost employee performance in public institutions. Keywords: leadership style, work environment, work motivation, employee performance
