Abstract

Studentification can be understood as a process caused by the concentration of students in an area accompanied by changes in the physical, economic, social, and cultural aspects of the area around the university. However, along with its development, the Bendan Private Higher Education Area was influenced by physical conditions and policies regarding development restrictions. The purpose of this study was to find changes that occurred in the area around Bendan Private College in four dimensions of studentification; physical, economic, social, and cultural aspects due to the studentification process. The studentification process research approach used is deductive. The method used in this study is a qualitative method to provide an in-depth explanation of the studentification process that occurs in the Bendan College Area. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with relevant stakeholders; Urban Village Officer, LPMK, and community leaders. It showed that the presence of universities and students resulted in developments in the area with changes in land cover, supporting infrastructure for students, changes in building functions, the emergence of student accommodation, changes in environmental conditions, changes in livelihoods, economic improvements, increases in land prices, an increase in the young population, student lifestyles, cultural assimilation, and displacement.

Abstract

The existence of pedestrian crossing facilities is vital for urban areas, crossing facilities are things that can affect comfort in terms of security and safety. Simpang Lima which is a core part of city activities certainly has a very varied and many variety of movement activities. In that case, the availability of facilities such as crossing the Simpang Lima area to meet the needs of pedestrians is very important. This study aims to see the effect of the availability of pedestrian crossing facilities on the perception of pedestrian comfort.The method used is quantitative with the analysis stage, calculating vehicle/pedestrian conflict with the empirical formula PV2, then analyzing the respondents' comfort perception on the condition of the existing crossing facilities and crossing activities, then doing a correlation test and looking for the effect using the Crosstab method and regression equation model. linear, the last one performs an analysis of the choice of crossing facilities.This study found that there was a discrepancy between the results of the calculation of vehicle/pedestrian conflicts with the provision of existing facilities, so that the results of the respondents' sense of responsiveness also showed poor scores for crossing facilities in the Simpang Lima area. The two data have a relationship with each other which is proven in the results of the accepted hypothesis test, thus based on the pedestrian comfort response, it requires a type of crossing facility in the form of a Zebra Cross.

Abstract

In 2020, the world is faced with an outbreak of a new virus known as COVID-19 that affects almost all aspects of life, including the economy. COVID-19 is proven to decrease the rate of world economic growth, including on Java Island in Indonesia (at the end of 2020, it contracted to -3,39% and become the their most affected year). The focus of this research is to identify and analyze the gap between economic growth in pandemic and ideal economic growth on the 119 regencies/cities of Java Island in the period of 2020. This secondary-based data and quantitative-method research goes through three stages: (1) identifying economic growth during pandemic 2020, (2) forecasting and identifying the ideal economic growth in 2020, and (3) Analyzing and classifying the gap between economic growth during pandemic and ideal condition in 2020. The results showed that there was a significant gap between those two conditions with the range of 1,22% - 16,09%. the majority of districts and cities in Java experienced a moderate decline in economic growth of 73.95%. The regencies/cities that experienced an insignificant decline were around 8.40% and a significant and very significant decline occurred in 17.65% of regencies and cities on the island of Java.

Abstract

Fenomena urbanisasi merupakan proses transformasi perkotaan yang diyakini menyebabkan  terjadinya perubahan penutup lahan berupa peningkatan lahan terbangun serta menurunnya lahan terbuka hijau. Hal ini berpotensi menurunkan kualitas lingkungan dan kehidupan masyarakat perkotaan. Oleh sebab itu, simulasi pemodelan perubahan penutup lahan menjadi penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan tren spasio-temporal perubahan penutup lahan Kota Semarang Tahun 2000 – 2020. Kota Semarang dipilih sebagai objek studi sebab ekspansi lahan urban yang terjadi di sana. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan data penginderaan jauh dan GIS berbasis Random Forest Classification. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa terdapat dua tren pertumbuhan, mengikuti jaringan transportasi di tengah Kota Semarang dan menyebar secara acak pinggir Kota. Selain itu, ditemukan juga tumbuhnya lahan urban di pesisir yang ternyata berpengaruh pada meluasnya badan air yang disebabkan oleh penurunan muka tanah. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rekomendasi dalam perencanaan penataan ruang perkotaan serta penyusunan kebijakan manajemen lahan.

Abstract

Jepara is one of the regions that have a lot of tourist destinations in Central Java. This is due to its location which borders the Java Sea and is close to Mount Muria. The development of existing tourism potential needs to be supported by tourist facilities, especially tourist accommodation. Moreover, tourist accommodation is indispensable since the rise of the staycation trend in this sector. This article aims to identify the availability of tourist accommodation in Jepara Regency using a mixed-method with a descriptive approach. Two analyzes were used, the first was tourist characteristics and preferences analysis. Second, analysis of the characteristics of tourist accommodation in Jepara Regency. The results of this study state that there are enough tourist accommodations in Jepara Regency to support tourism activities. However, the existing accommodation tends to agglomerate in only one area, especially in Jepara, Tahunan, and Mlonggo sub-districts. This research recommends that the government of Jepara Regency can create tourism development directions that can create equitable development of tourism in other tourist areas in Jepara. So that the development of tourism and tourist accommodation in the future will not only agglomerated in one area.

Abstract

The tourism sector is one of the affected economic sectors due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including Indonesia. Therefore, The Indonesian Government offered ways to recover tourism sector activities regarding its impact by applying the health protocol released by Kemenparekraf (Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia), based on CHSE  (Cleanliness, Health, Safety, and Environment Sustainability). This study is located in the camping destination in Umbul Sidomukti, Semarang Regency. This study aims to identify the health protocol applied in camping destination in Umbul Sidomukti. Regarding its aim, quantitative descriptive is used by collecting data through interviews and observations. The study results showed that the camping destination in Umbul Sidomukti already applies the health protocol based on the policy. Tourists are also obey the health and safety protocol at the camping destination. This result is related to the changes in tourists’ behaviour due to pandemic COVID-19 in general.

Abstract

Jumlah penduduk Kota Semarang terus meningkat setiap tahunnya yang berdampak pada meningkatnya kebutuhan akan tempat tinggal yang layak huni serta fasilitas penungjang yang memadai. Maka perlu untuk menjamin distribusi manfaat pembangunan seperti fasilitas dan pelayanan sosial yang adildi kawasan permuuukiman terencana mupun tidak terencana. Permukiman terencana cenderung memliki jaminan atas penyediaan fasilitas dan pelayanan sosial dibandingkan dengan permukiman tidak terencana Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tingkat keadilan distribusi manfaat antara permukiman terencana dan tidak terencana berdasarkan persepsi masyarakat terhadap fasilitas dan pelayanan sosial di Perumahan Graha Estetika dan Perumnas Sendangmulya sebagai permukiman terencana serta Kampung Sekayu dan Kelurahan Bandarharjo sebagai permukiman tidak terencana. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kauntitatif melalui survei online terhadap total 353 responden dengan teknik analisis deskriptif dan skala likert. Dua anaisis yang dilakukan yatu analisis tingkat keadilan pada fasilitas dan pelayanan sosial serta analisis tingkat keadilan distribusi manfaat antara permukiman terencana dan tidak terencana. Hasil Penelitian didapatkan bahwa masih terdapat perbedaan yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat dimana masyarakat di permukiman tidak terencana paling merasa tidak setuju dengan kualitas air bersih, jalan lingkungan dan drainase. Tingkat keadilan distribusi manfaat di Perumahan Graha Estetika, Kampung Sekayu dan Perumnas Sendangmulyo berada pada kategori adil dan Kelurahan Bandarharjo berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

The realization of sustainable housing and settlements is in line with the 33rd point of NUA (New Urban Agenda) regarding the provision of adequate housing for the entire citizen. NUA point 107 is the method regarding the development of regulations, tools, mechanisms that support access to affordable and sustainable housing for low-income group. The instruments that have been developed by stakeholders to provide housing that adequate are media, such as, mass media, the electronic media, and social media. The study was conducted on low-income group who live in Perumahan Curug Sewu Asri. Qualitative method was used in this study, with qualitative descriptive analysis and triangulation, by collecting data through in-depth interviews. The results showed that the respondent received information and spesifications of Curug Sewu Asri Housing through word of mouth. The informants did not feel that they had received a response and influenced by using media. In conclusion, the use of media in fulfilling sustainable housing and settlement in Curug Sewu Asri Housing has not been maximized. This can be one of considerations for local government to find out how far the impact of media to provide the fulfillment of sustainable housing in recent condition.

Abstract

RW 6 Purwosari Village, North Semarang District is one of the locations in Semarang City that is experiencing solid waste problems. There is still no non-organic waste sorting and processing system in this location. The purpose of this study was to identify non-organic waste types of glass and metal in the residential area of RW 6, Purwosari Village, North Semarang District, Semarang City. In conducting this research, the determination of the survey location was sought using spatial analysis to see the distribution of buildings and residential areas in the research location. Next, a grid analysis will be carried out to determine the survey location. Furthermore, field observations and questionnaires will be distributed to obtain the data needed in the study. Finally, a description of the data obtained during the survey will be carried out. The benefits of this research are data and information about non-organic waste as a basis for making rules in waste processing. The final result that is expected in this research is to obtain information about what and how the level of production of non-organic waste types of glass and metal is obtained in RW 6 Purwosari Village, North Semarang District.
