Twitter is one of the most popular social mediain Indonesia, for Indonesian people like to share their thoughts and opinions through this media. Since Indonesia is a multilingual country, we can find language interferencephenomenonin twitter statuses. The purpose of this study is to identify the language interference that took forms of morphological interferences on twitter. The study uses non-participant observation method to collect the dataand translational method to analyze the data. The findings of this research suggest that morphological interference of Javanese happens in the form of Javanese affixation. Factors that cause the interference to occur are the familiarity with more than one language, the environment and the prestige of using first language.

People often seek for philosophical ideas to justify what they believe as the right thing to do. Many people believe that philosophical ideas matter to enrich their knowledge in order for them to think more wisely. It is why many books of philosophy are nowadays out to fulfill the demand from the society. Even if, many sources are also available to meet the people‟s interest in philosophy such as reading articles, watching movies and many other, average reasonable people would rather to choose to read books as their source to get philosophical idea. It is also the reason why today we have many philosophical books traded in the market and we can find them easily in many book stores, like Solitude, Voltaire, and etc.

Skripsi ini menganalisis tentang novel dari Marya Hornbacher berjudul Wasted: a Memoir of Anorexia and Bulimia. Tujuan-tujuan dari skripsi ini adalah untuk menjelaskan dan menganalisis intrinsik dan ekstrinsik pada cerita tersebut. Telah ditemukan bahwa media, dongeng, dan mode mempengaruhi kehidupan tokoh utama dalam novel ini. Teori-teori yang digunakan di skripsi ini adalah konsep interpelasi yang dikemukakan oleh Louis Althusser dan teori modern tentang mitos-mitos kecantikan yang memicu diet, anoreksia, bulimia. Metode-metode yang digunakan di skripsi ini adalah penelitian pustaka. Analisis di skripsi ini menunjukkan bahwa sang Narrator dalam novel ini mengalami berbagai gangguan makan seperti anorexia dan bulimia. Hal ini disebabkan oleh proses interpelasi yang dilakukan oleh media, dongeng, dan mode yang menyebabkan wanita terkomodifikasi, merasa teralienasi, mengalami kesadaran palsu, dan ketidakpuasan terhadap tubuhnya sendiri.

This book review is written to find the strength and the weakness in Life of Piwhich is written by Yann Martel. “The Book Review of Life of Pi” is focusing on the content of the novel finding the strength and the weakness. The strengths are the plot and the main character named Pi, the weakness is the end of the novel. The plot conveys how the author describes all situations in this novel clearly and the main character shares readers about how to face the world and Pi shares lots of values in his life as a tough boy. The weakness is the end of the novel, Martel does not give an explanation about why Richard dumps Pi without saying goodbye at all. This novel conveys about anything that people think. A novel does not deliver any knowledge of life, but in this novel I read many valuable words.

This extended essay discusses the representation of the behavior of American kids as seen through their life styles reflected on Kenny Chesney “American Kids”. The behavior is well portrait through the lyric, but the lyric itself has not been reviewed sufficiently. The purposes of this extended essay are to describe the behavior literally and figuratively, and also to construct the meaning related to the description of the lyric. The writer analyzes the study using library research and she adopts the psychology of behavior by B.F Skinner as her approach method. The result of the analysis shows the description of American kids behavior literally and figuratively as pride in American kids reflected on “American Kids”. Therefore, it can be concluded that the song lyric of American Kids reflects the representation of American kids behavior.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven is a very unique and interesting novel written by a well-known author and script writer Mitch Albom. This novel tells the story about a journey of a man in his search for the purpose of his existence in the afterlife. The purpose of analysing this novel is to understand theme of the story, setting, and the development of the main character in the story. The result shows that in understanding the meaning of life, we must conceive the concrete importance of sacrifice. Albom is a very good writer in combining two dimension of time in the different world, so the reader can easily picture many places that has been described in the novel.

Besides love story, it also deals with issues such as child abuse and bullying, which become interesting parts of the novel. Aside from reviewing the issues of child abuse and bullying, the writer also wants to discuss words that need extra references to understand them. Furthermore, the writer also wants to figure out the ending of this novel.

In interacting with other people, Coperative Principle may be done in order to make a conversation run well and smoothly. However, there are chances when speakers have to violate a maxim in order to reinforce the self-esteem of others and to avoid offence and emberrassment. The purpose of the study is to find out the kinds of maxim violation done by the speakers on ‘Mata Najwa’ talk show and the motivation behind the speakers violating the maxims. The study used Non-Participant Observation Method to collect the data and Padan Method to identify the kinds of maxims violated by the speakers on ‘Mata Najwa’ talk show. The result of the study shows that there are fifteen utterances violating Quantity, Quality, Relation, and Manner maxims. The motivation behind the speakers violating the maxim is mostly because they want to show politeness and keep other’s self-esteem.

As teenagers begin to assert their independence and find their own indentity, they are facing behavioral, emotional, or learning issues in their lives. Teenagers go through some hard times and it can be difficult at times. Each of them has a life story. Teenagers’ life is surrounded by some issues, such as bad grades, reputation, drugs, popularity and family problem. It is confusing and very stressful. Teenagers’ hardship makes them more critical and have a desire of having a good life in the future. On the journey to achieve their goals, teenagers definitely get various kinds of obstacles which could come from the loved one, for example, from their parents. Sometimes, parents want their children to be what they want instead of what their children actually want. Hence, these teenagers can not fully be themselves and be what they actually want.

“Blank Space” is a song that is sung by a singer, Taylor Swift. The lyrics tell about the lonely woman who dates a lot but always fails to manage her relationship. However, it does not make her worry to start a new relationship. The purpose of this study is to analyze the elements of the poetry in the lyrics and to show the readers the psychological contents as portrayed in the music video. The study uses intrinsic and extrinsic theories to analyze the data and library research to compile the data. Library research is used to get literary theories and psychological theories of Sigmund Freud.The finding of this study is the existence of psychoanalysis contents in American pop music included Id, ego, superego, defense mechanism act, and symbolization reflected in lyrics and scenes in the song and in the music video of “Blank Space”
