Abstract

Generalized Space Time Autoregressive (GSTAR) model is more flexible as a generalization of Space Time Autoregressive (STAR) model which be able to express the linear relationship of time and location. The purpose of this study is to construct GSTAR model for forecasting the rice plant production in the three districts of Central Java. The data which used to contruct the model is quarterly data of rice plant production in Demak, Boyolali and Grobogan from 1987 through 2014. According to the empirical study result using GSTAR model with uniform weight, binary weight, inverse distance wight, and normalized cross correlation weight, GSTAR (31)-I(1)3 with uniform weight is the optimal model. The model shows that every location is influenced by the location itself. Keywords :  GSTAR, Space Time, uniform weight

Abstract

Birth weight is the weight of a baby who weighed in 1 (one) hour after birth. Birth weight is important to note because many cases are caused by birth weight that is too high or too low as in the case of LBW (Low Birth Weight). LBW is infants with a birth weight less than 2500 grams. The factors that considered in addressing LBW are factors maternal age, maternal hemoglobin levels, and gestational age. One of the statistical analysis that can be used to analyze the causal relationship of several variables is path analysis.Path analysis is a modified form of regression analysis in which the independent variables studied not only directly affect the dependent variable, but it can also affect these variables indirectly. The independent variables have a direct effect and indirect effect on the dependent variable. Based on analyzing, it is concluded that the variable which has a direct effect to birth weight infant was gestational age, whereas for maternal age and maternal hemoglobin levels effect to birth weight infant, it can be seen by its inderect effect.

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate is one of the indicators that determine the prosperity level of society in a country. Most of the maternal mortality caused by pregnancy maternal mortality and postpartum maternal mortality. Central Java is one of the provinces with the biggest number of pregnancy maternal mortality and postpartum maternal mortality in Indonesia. The number of pregnancy maternal mortality and postpartum maternal mortality follow Poisson Distribution and it has a significant correlation. Therefore, the writer analyzed factor that influences the number of pregnancy maternal mortality and postpartum maternal mortality using Univariate and Bivariate Poisson Regression method. Results from this study obtained that in the Univariate Poisson Regression variables that significantly influence pregnancy maternal mortality and postpartum maternal mortality are the percentage of pregnant women implementing K1 (X1), percentage of childbirth women that has puerperal health service (X6) and percentage of household with clean and healthy behavior (X7). In the Bivariate Poisson, the best model is the second model which assuming that covariance is an equation.Keywords: Pregnancy of Maternal Mortality, Postpartum Maternal Mortality, Bivariate Poisson Regression.

Abstract

Analysis of covariance (ancova) is a technique that combines features of analysis of variance and regression which is used to increase precision (accuracy) of the experiment. Ancova can be used for any experimental design include Graeco Latin square design. Graeco Latin square design is a combination of two orthogonal Latin square. Two Latin square are orthogonal if they are combined, the same pair of symbols occurs no more than once in the composite square. Application ancova on Graeco Latin square design in the field of agriculture is given to observe the effect of different fertilizer dose towards outcome of corn production. In this experiment there are three blocking factors (soil pH, soil slopes, and corn varieties) and two variable concomitant (quantity of corn plant and quantity of baby corn). The result shows that both of concomitant variables effect are significant. Ancova is better than anova, it can see from the coefficient of variation ancova less than anova, so precision (accuracy) of the experiment is increase. Abstract

PT Pos Indonesia (Ltd.) is one of state-owned enterprise engaged the field of service. Along with the development of communication device which more sophisticated and modern, PT Pos Indonesia (Ltd.) has to restructure, reform, and transform. Hence, that mail and delivery service through post remains used and preferred by community. There are many things to do by the customers, this is the reason why PT Pos Indonesia (Ltd.) Kantor Pos II Semarang is always crowded by customers. Therefore, it’s important to analyze queuing system that describe the condition of service line and measures of performance of four types of service counters in PT Pos Persero (Ltd.) Kantor Pos II Semarang, those are Postage counter, Special Delivery, Express, and EMS counter, Money Orders counter, and Tax counter. Base on the observation that has been done, the queuing model at the Postage counter is (M/G/1):(GD/∞/∞), Special Delivery, Express, and EMS counter is  (M/M/3):(GD/∞/∞), Money Orders counter is (M/M/2):(GD/∞/∞), and Tax counter is (M/M/2):(GD/∞/∞). Key words    :    PT Pos Indonesia (Ltd.) Abstract

Education is one aspect of nation building is very important to realize the human resource development and national character. Awareness of the importance of education can be seen through education enrollment rates. This study aims to classify the enrollment rates in the district / city Central Java. The data used is the Gross Enrollment Rate (GER), Net Enrollment Rate (NER) and School Enrollment Rate (SER) at the district / city in Central Java Province in 2013. The grouping method used in this study is Fuzzy Subtractive Clustering. The results showed that the best cluster grouping enrollment rates in Central Java Province which consists of 4 clusters with value of cluster variant is 0.00749 and radii between 0.35 to 0.50. Keywords: education participation rate, GER, NER, SER, Fuzzy Subtractive Clustering

Abstract

Economic and financial variables are variables that are fluctuated because of regime switching as a result of political and economical conditions. Linear modeling can not capture the regime switching, so it is better to use Markov Switching Vector Autoregressive Models (MSVAR). MSVAR is a combination of vector autoregressive models and hidden markov models. Daily return of Rupiah buying rate against the USD and Euro are economic variables that are fluctuated and they can explain economic condition of a country. The best model of five order iteration is MS (2) - VAR (4) with the smallest AIC value, that is -1460.48.  Maximum Likelihood Estimation is a method to get parameters estimation. With 73 data, the return rates has transition probability 0.08 from crisis to normal state, while the transisition probablity of the opposite condition is 0.6. Expected value being at normal state is 13.10 days and being at crisis state is 1,68 days.

Abstract

Public service in Indonesia has grown into a strategic policy issue. The implementation of public services in the field of library is intended to provide library services to the public quickly, precisely and accurately. This research aims to analyze the effect between service quality, collection quality, employee performance, user needs (community) on community satisfaction and its implications for community loyalty or interest in library utilization. The use of SEM based covariance with parametric assumption that research variable must fulfill normal multivariate distribution assumption. However, the research variables do not meet the assumptions of normality then used Partial Least Square (PLS). The research was conducted at the Regional Library of Central Java Province. The method of testing instrument used SPSS Software 22.00 and hypothesis testing using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) by SmartPLS 3.00 software. Characteristics of respondents are women (65,5%), age 21-25 years (53,5%), and job as student (69,5%). The results showed that the variable quality of service, collection quality, and community give a positive and significant effect, while employee performance variable gives positive effect but not significant to the satisfaction of society. The variable of satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on community loyalty. Keywords: Public Service, Library, Partial Least Square (PLS)

Abstract

Classification is one of the statistical methods in grouping the data compiled systematically. Classification problem rises when there are a number of measures that consists of one or several categories that can not be identified directly but must use a measure. classification methods commonly used in studies to analyze a problem or event is logistic regression analysis. However, this classification method provides unstable parameter estimation. So to obtain a stable parameter multinomial logistic regression model used bootstrap approach that is bootstrap aggregating (bagging). The purpose of this study was to compare the accuracy of the classification multinomial logistic regression models and bootstrap aggragatting model using the data of family planning in Semarang. From the results of bagging multinomial logistic regression obtained classification accuracy in replication bootstrap most 50 times at 51%, this model is able to decrease the classification error of up to 2% compared to the multinomial logistic regression model with a classification accuracy of 49%.Keywords: logistic regression, bootstrap aggregating, accuracy of classification

Abstract

The growth of  labor will increase along with increasing population. Increasing the number of this labor of course going to have an impact on his status, whether employ or unemployed. The method can be used to classify the status of the labor is CHAID (Chi-squared Automatic Interaction Detection) and CART (Classification and Regression Trees). Both of these methods aim to identify factors that influence employment status. These methods will be applied for Semarang labor data in 2014. Based on CHAID method, the factors that affect the status of the labor is gender, age and status of the completeness of a life partner with accuracy classification results amounted to 72.63%. Factors that affect the status of the labor force with the CART method is gender, age, educational status, and the status of the completeness of a life partner with the accuracy of the classification is 72.79%. Based on proportion test, these methods are same of doing classification employment status.Keywords: Labor, Classification, CHAID, CART, Accuracy of classification
