Abstract

Lobster net is Gill Net Monofilament which its operation system is blocking lobster movement. Thus, the lobsters are hooked and winded round onto net. In order to increase the amounts of lobster captured, it is necessary to use bait for collecting lobsters. This research has a purpose to find out is there any interaction between the disposition factor of grabbing tool in 5 and 7 meters depth and the usage of cow hide and goatskin to the amount of lobsters capture (Panulius sp) in Argopeni Kebumen Regency waters. This research uses experimental method. Experimental method is observation under made condition, where that condition is made by the researcher. This method is a methods object which is used to find out is there any cause effect relationship and how big that cause effect relationship. In 5 meters depth using goatskin bait, the amounts of lobster captured are 36. In 5 meters depth using cow hide bait, the amounts are 49. In 7 meters depth, the amounts of lobster captured are 25 by using goatskin bait and 33 by using cow hide bait. The result shows that the difference of grabbing tool disposition gives the effect to the amounts of lobster captured. The difference of bait also gives some effects to that amounts. The result shows that cow hide bait in 5 meters depth gets more lobsters than others.

Abstract

The biggest source of District pure income in Rembang Regency was captured from fishery production value that landed in auction place, TPI has an important role in fishing port and should be managed as well to reach the optimum function. But, not all the facilites and infrastructure are well available and optimum, that cause TPI efficiency. The purpose of this study was to identify the facilites and infrastructure, analyze the efficiency, and efficiency comparison of Tasikagung, Karanganyar, and Sarang fish auctin place in Rembang Regency. The reseach method in this reseach was descriptive method, while the sampling method was purposive sampling. Data analysis methods are Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Banxia Fontier Analysis. The result show that the identificatin the existing the facilites and infrastructure of the third in Rembang Regency was the auction floor is perforated, sanitation facilities dan garbages were disfunction, and nothing fish storage. The result of anlilysis of TPI Tasikagung and Sarang were got scor 100 %, while TPI Karanganyar 97,93%. To achieve efficient so needed to be reduction or increase input and output according to the potential value improvement.

Abstract

Anco is a very simple lift net, generally used only by small fishermans. The shape of the tool is rectangular. The shape is used because after setting and hanging, the other side of the net look like a cup. Anco is used on the edge of the river and the swamp, especially in the estuarine water stream. On that section, there are many small fish schooling because the fish like to swim on the opposing direction of the water stream. Bait is used as stimulant for the fish, so that the fish schools around the anco net. The purpose of this reseatch is to analyze the use of shrimp’s natural bait, worm and cassava against the anco net catch result and to know what bait that has the biggest influence against the anco net catch result. The research method used is descriptive, this research is an experimental research to test modified bait from many kinds of bait (mashed worms, mashed shrimp, mashed cassava) against the catching result in the use of anco net to catch fish. Direct observation method, interview, documentation, and literature is used to collect data. Data is then analyzed using statistic test including testing the normality, testing the homogenity, and one way Anova testing. The results of three treatmens used in the research are shrimp bait, worm, and cassava. The bait which has the most catching result in terms of result, 928 fishes and weighing 3,193 kg, but, the most catching result in the terms of weight is the shrimp bait, weighing 6,466 kg, 840 fishes. The worm bait resulting in 758 fishes, weighing 5,285 kg.

Abstract

Performance is basically the result obtained by a person or agency in performing a particular job. The purpose of this research were identified the performance management, evaluated the performance, and analyzed the performance level Pekalongan Fishing Port. Descriptive method was used in this study. Purposive sampling was used for sampling method. Object of this research was management of Pekalongan Fishing Port and customers satisfaction. Data analysis methods used were test validity, test reliability, Customer Satisfaction Index, Importance and Performance Analysis and gap analysis. The test results show the validity declared invalid, because r value bigger than r table is 0.444 for 20 employees. While the customer is 0.229 for 74 customers. Attributes of reliability test results for 0.632 and 0.832 employees, while the attributes of reliability test of 0.413 and 0.492 customers. From the research results of the identification of performance management are implementation of fishing harbors operational service of fisheries, fish resources management activities, implementation of the system of quality assurance and safety of fishery products. The results of performance evaluation in 2011 classified optimal, because get 74 of the results optimum conditions, 100. While the results for employee satisfaction index was 77 % and 80.4 % for customers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of national regulations relating fishing vessel safety, obtain an overview of the implementation of regulations relating fishing vessel safety in the Pekalongan Archipelago Fishing Port and analyze alternative solutions in order to achieve optimization of the application of national regulations relating fishing vessel safety. The method used in this research is descriptive method that is featured a case study with Likert Scale and Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP)done to be data analyze. The results showed that only the Minister of Communications Decree No.KM 46 Year 1996 regarding Seaworthiness Certification of Fishing Vessels that discussed the safety of fishing vessels. Implementation of regulations related to safety of fishing vessels in the Pekalongan Archipelago Fishing Port within 5 (five) years ranged between 69.31% - 73.08%, it indicates that the rate of application of relevant regulations on the safety of fishing vessels belonging to the Pekalongan Archipelago Fishing Port in both categories based on predefined criteria weighting. Which occupies the first priority action to achieve the optimization of the application of relevant regulations on fishing vessel safety in the Pekalongan Archipelago Fishing Port compliance requirements with the characteristics and conditions of fishing vessels and manning with the priority vector value 0.55. The second priority isthe rules firmness relating safety of fishing vessel from the state with the priority vector value 0.29 and the third priority is the seriousness to the implementation by relevant parties such as the Unit Operator Port (Harbourmaster and Marine Inspector) with the priority vector value 0.16.

Abstract

The mainly target of the operational of pole and line is skipjack tuna. Pole and line is a type of fishing gear that consist of pole, line and hook. The purpose of this research were to analyze the effect of artificial bait’s colours against total catch, to analyze the effect of type of live bait against total catch, and to analyze the interaction between the colours of artificial bait and live bait against total catch. The research was done in March-April 2012 in PPI Dufa-dufa Ternate. The research was used experimental fishing methods which have two variables they are: the color of artificial bait and live bait with 4 types of treatment. Normality test and ANOVA test by SPSS 16.0 was employed to analyze data.. The results of this research showed that the difference colours of artificial bait and live bait was effected the total catch of skipjack tuna it was seen from the total catch of anchovy artificial red bait as much as 544, and the total catch of anchovy artificial green bait fish as much as 329, the total catch of scad mackerel artificial red bait as much as 425 and the total catch of scad mackerel artificial green bait as much as 272. ANOVA test results showed that using pole and line with anchovy live bait and artificial red bait is better to be used.

Abstract

Profit is the quarrel of total revenue and total cost in the production process. In the Bejalen village there are 2 kinds gill nets are gill nets ¾ inch (net Wader) and a 3-inch gill nets (net arang).Differences of mesh size affect The catch, more high of cath can afford income higher. The purposes of this study were to identify differences kind of catch, profit difference between Wader nets and arang nets, analyze the income of fisherman compared to UMK Semarang district, identifying the technical and financial aspects at Wader nets and arang net .Descriptive method based on case studies used in this study. The sampling method used census. The method of analysis used were financial analysis and feasible study analysis. The results showed a net profit of Wader Rp2.298.345,10, arang nets profit Rp3.510.373,43, wader net income was Rp5.233.129,41, arang nets was Rp6,722,368.421. feasible study analysis showed R/C 1,8 wader net,PP one years NPV Rp804.732,5128, B/C 1.05, IRR of 19,21 . While R/C for arang net 2,2, PP seven month, NPV Rp7.026.351,44, B/C 1,52, IRR 29,00. Conclusion effort arang nets composition of catches more varied and have greater profits. Fisherman’s income were still under the UMK of Semarang district. From the financial analysis for both of fishing commerce were feasible to run.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the use of construction of the originally hook with the hook kirbed 30o angle, and the influence of different types of bait is natural bait of meat squid (Loligo sp.) with artificial bait, as well as for determining whether or not the effect of interaction between the form of construction the hook and type of the bait on the catch of hand line in the Traditional Fisheries Utilization Zone of Karimunjawa National Park. The research was conducted in May-April 2012 at the Traditional Fisheries Utilization Zone of Karimunjawa National Park. The material used in this study were the hook used to use squid bait, the hook used to use artificial bait, hook angle of 30 ⁰ with experimental fishing methods. Six times the number of repeat tests. Methods of data analysis begins by looking for the hook rate, the data was processed using a statistical test with SPSS 17 software at 95% level tests with tests of normality, homogeneity test, and two way ANOVA test. The results showed that different types of bait is not so affect the catch, the hook construction differences affect the catch Hand line and interaction between the bait the hook with the use of different constructs had no effect on the catch Hand line. Species of fish caught by fishing gear hand line overall during the study based on the percentage of the amount (kg), namely: Badong, pompano slim, large splotch trevally, pompano gargahing, but there were also fish the sergeant fish Badong fish were the most species of fish caught during the research that is equal to 64% of the 54 tail of the total catch.

Abstract

Karimunjawa is an Archipelago with good coral and abundant reef fish production. One of fishing gears that used in catch reef fish is spear gun and bottom traps. The using of compressor by spear gun is judged dangerous, so bottom traps is an alternative for catch the reef fish without using compressor. The objective of this research is to analysis feasibility of fishing effort with spear gun and bottom traps that is saw from financial aspect. Sampling method that used is snowball sampling, with number of the sample is 30 respondent. The data taking in this research is trough interview and observation. In this research is found that economic aspect of spear gun effort needs IDR34.696.500 of financial capital, total cost IDR204.546.920, income IDR237.733.500, profit IDR33.186.580. Bottom Traps effort needs capital financial IDR45.488.333, total cost IDR208.525.402, income IDR258.497.000, profit IDR49.971.598. Base on financial analysis on Spear Gun, found that the NPV’s value is IDR216.790.754, IRR 92%, B/C Ratio 1,16, ROI 95%, Payback Period is 1 year and Profitability Index is 6,2. Whereas the Bottom Traps found that the NPV’s value is IDR313.828.168, IRR 101%, B/C Ratio 1,23, ROI 110%, Payback Period is 0,91 year and Profitability Index is 6,9. The conclusion from this research is bottom traps has more suitable than spear gun.

Abstract

The commonly activity of hairtail fish catching in waters of Palabuhanratu is used handline. The average of hairtail fish production in this area reaches 174 tonnes per year. One of the things that supported the succesfully of hairtail fish capture is knowledge the fishing season of hairtail fish This research aimed to understand the potential of sustainable resources, the fishing season of hairtail fish, as well as exploitation rate of hairtail fish. This research was used descriptif methods with kind of case study research. Data analysis was used statistic methods, moving average methods and surplus production model with logistic growth function. Management model of trichiurus fish resources based on maximum economic yield, maximum sustainable yield and open access section. Result showed that EMSY was 8710 trips/year while CMSY was 294,92 ton/year, in actually effort was 8370 trips/ year and C was 176 ton/ year . Based on the index was known that the peak fishing season fishing occurs in April. The highest utilization rate during the last 9 years in 2007 which is 109%.
