Abstract

Data and information is very important to make a decision however, the limitations of the tuna fishery emerged information technology issues such as information required in the tuna fishery stakeholders Cilacap PPS. his study aims to Know the potential of fishery resources landed in PPS Cilacap, Designing information systems tuna fisheries (Thunus sp) in digital form and make it easier stakeholder in case of input and fisheries output in the PPSC This study applied a systems approach, a method that consider information systems as a whole integration for each activity or application. The system is limited to only about the development of tuna fisheries in PPS Cilacap. The technology used for data processing and information tuna fishery is a computerized information technology. The demand of analysis system obtained from the parties involved, namely the PPSC, Fisheries, Fishers and stakeholders. Manufacturing information system of tuna fishing design in the PPS Cilacap starting from the input data is Cilacap PPS profile information data, tuna information and tuna fisheries statistical information, which will be created in a digital information system with media Internet-web MY SQL with SIUPIT name (SISTEM INFORMASI USAHA PENANGKAPAN IKAN TUNA ) SIUPIT is computerized information system that can be used to assist and facilitate data and information services businesses in the tuna fishery PPS Cilacap for stakeholders, such as accelerating time information services, minimize mistakes and get the highest reporting of data in a shorter time and accurate.

Abstract

The role of fisher women is not only as a housewife but also the breadwinner, the fisher women have a dual role of women in her family. Fisher women help their husband working to fulfill family needs. The aims of the research are to discover contribution of gillnet fisher women’s income to family income and the factors that influence the gillnet fisher women’s income in Bejalen village. Descriptive method based on case study used in this research. The sampling method used in this research was purposive sampling, and total sample was 25 samples took from 60 fisher women samples. Data analysis used in this research were the Spearman Rank correlation test and multiple linear regression test. The results showed the women's role to improve the family income in Bejalen village by working in various business sectors with an average income of Rp634.000,00 per month with a contribution to family income by 37.11%. The highest fisher women’s income was Rp2.000.000,00 with 75,48% contribution to the family income and the lowest was Rp300.000,00 with 26% contribution to family income. The factors which influence the gillnet fisher women’s income significantly was working time. Fisherman’s income, age, member of family, and education were not influence significantly.

Abstract

Information of fishermen income level are very needed to reach the welfare population especially fishermen. Fisheries effort that will be run by businessman has to produce a suistainable profit. Therefore, it needs to be evaluated by effort analysis. The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of Denish seine’s fishermen in Tawang’s coastal fishing port, Kendal region. This research was conducted on Mei 2012 in Tawang’s coastal fishing port. The methodology that used in this research is descriptive method by observation survey. It was conducted to obtain the facts, both about the social, economic, political of population or region. The determination of the samples for this research based on Arikunto (2002) is equal 42 samples.This effort analyse used discounted criterion method. From this method, we got NPV Ratio valueable mean Rp13.504.227,58 (NPV is positive), B/C Ratio valueable mean 1,02 (B/C > 1) and IRR valueable mean 23,74 %, it means Denish seine’s effort in Tawang’s coastal fishing port is feasible to continue.

Abstract

Fishing operations on eel (Monopterus albus) generally uses traps, handline and electrical fishing tools but in this research uses fishing gear called ‘pancing sogok’. ‘Pancing sogok is a fishing gear that consists of stick, line and a hook which operated by embedded on land and left in a night. The aim of this experiment were analyzed effects of size differences on hook (size 1 and 12), analyzed effects of bait differences on type (frog and worm) in Rawa Pening Semarang. The experimental method that used for this experiment was experimental fishing method with 2 variables, which is hook size and type of bait with 4 treatments. Data analysis used normality test and ANOVA test done with SPSS 16.0. The results showed that the differences between hook size number 1 and number 12 gave influences to the amount of eel catch (Monopterus albus). It’s showed by sig score hook size no.1 is 0,00 and sig score hook size no. 12 is 0,00 which both of them have sig score less than 0,05 and it meant H0 pushed away so it concluded that the hook size influenced the fishing catch. In other side, type of bait between frog and worm didn’t give influences on the amount of eel catch (Monopterus albus), it’s showed by sig score frog bait and worm bait which is 0,517 and 0,032 which both of them more than 0,05 and it’s meant H0 accepted. ANOVA test result showed that nothing interaction between hook size and type of bait.
