Abstract

The study analyze factor affecting consumers decision making purchasing. Independent variables are product quality (X1), price suitability (X2), and promotion intensity (X3). Dependent variable is purchase decision making in Djarum Super cigarette consumers in the city of Semarang (Y). Samples were 100 respondents takes by accidental sampling technique.The analytical using SPSS 13.0 the study condicted, reliability test, validity test, classic at asumption test. The results are :Y = 0,294 X1 + 0,360 X2 + 0,190X3. The determination coefficient (adjusted R2) is 0,473 or 47,3 percen this mean the model developed was good. Price suitability shows the biggest regression coefficient in the model. This implies price suitability is the most important factor affecting consumers purchase decision. The second important factor is product quality and then promotion intensity as the third factor affecting purchase decision.

Abstract

Income smoothing is defined as an intentional act done to reduce the fluktuation of profit managers to use certain accounting methods. The reason that income smoothing performed by the managemen tare: reduce tax debt, increase investor confidence, can strengthen the relationship between managers and employees The study was conducted using purposive sampling for sampling is used and there are 53 companies that were visited during the study. Analytical techniques used in this study is multiple regression analysis using SPSS where previous data was tested using the classical assumption test. The results show net profit margin (NPM) and size significantly positively related to income smoothing while the return on assets (ROA) and debt to equity ratio (DER) are not significant to earnings smoothing.

Abstract

The research was motivated by a bank customer complaints Pandanaran Semarang Branch of BRI which indicates a decline in customer satisfaction as well as increase i the number of customer who closed acounts during the three yaers 2009-2011. By looking at existing problems, this study aimed to analyze the influence of customer value and quality of service to the customer satisfaction to creat customer loyalty Pandanaran BRI branch Semarang. This study sample of 100 people Pandanaran Semarang Branch of BRI customers. Question is given by using questionnaire consisting of closed and open questions. Respondent’s answers wetre then analyzed with a two stage regression using SPSS for Windows. Based on the analysis conducted, it was concluded that the variable value and quality customer service and a sidnificant inpact on customer loyalty. The result of  this study is expected to be used as information for the BRI branch Pandanaran Semarang and further research. Abstract

Capital market are such medium whereas long term valuable letters being sale and bought. Within capital market, company get relative cheap fund, because company didn’t need to paid capital cost or capital cost could be pressed. Valuable letter which often trade in capital market was share. Share was valuable letter as participation evidence or both individual and institution ownership. Much factors which could influence share price such ROA, ROE, ROS, EPS and EVA. Aim of this research was to analyzed influence of ROA, ROE, ROS, EPS and EVA to share price, both partially or simultaneously. Population and sample within this research were all of manufacture productions which registered within BEI from 2007 – 2010. Sampling collection technique was purposive sampling and obtained sample about 112 companies. Data type was secondary. Data collection sample used documentation. Analysis technique used was double regression.

Abstract

This research aim is to know  about internal factors and external factors which are influences for the Non-Performing Loan (case studies on Conventional Commercial Banks in Indonesia that provide mortgage in period 2008 -2011). This research was conducted with purposive sampling. The samples used were 28 conventional commercial banks in Indonesia that provide mortgage in period 2008-2011. The data used in this study were obtained from the Banking Annual Report 2008-2011. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis to determine the effect of Bank Size, Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Inflation to Non-Performing Loan (NPL) of Conventional Commercial Banks in Indonesia that provide mortgage in period 2008 -2011. Based on the test for normality, multicollinearity test, heteroskedastisitas test and autocorrelation test, there were no deviations from goodness of fit. This indicates that the available data has been qualified to use the model of multiple linear regression equation. From the analysis indicates that Bank Size, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and Inflation have a significant effect on Non-Performing Loan (NPL), whereas Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR) have no significance effect. Predictive capability of the five variables to Non-Performing Loan (NPL) of 30,4%, while the remaining 69,6% influenced by other factors not included in the research model.

Abstract

This research aims at studying the fundamental variables that can be used as predictors short return on investment. Object of research used in this study is the company incorporated in LQ 45 during the 2009-2011 study periode. The variables studied are Firm Size, Book to Market Ratio, Price Earning Ratio and Momentum. Analytical techniques used in this study is the multiple linear regression. This research was conducted with quantitative methods to the financial statements of listed companies in LQ 45 during the period 2009-2011. The total study sample was 27 companies that are consistently listed in 7 (seven) in the period of observation in LQ 45 index and 27 companies are determined through purposive sampling method. Method of hypothesis testing using different test t-test and multiple linear regression. The results showed Firm Size has no significant positive effect on portfolio stock returns. Book to Market Ratio has no significant positive effect on portfolio stock returns. Price Earning Ratio has no significant negative impact on the company's portfolio stock return. Momentum occurred at week 2, 4, and 8 after the formation of stock prices. This could indicate that investors tend to speculative trading in shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. is one of the private banks in Kudus. The research was concentrated at PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. Kudus Branch, who had visions of the main choice mainstay bank, which acts as an important pillar of the Indonesian economy. This study analyzes the motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance. Success in carrying out duties and functions in PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk. Kudus Branch will depend on the performance of its employees. With the employee's performance is getting better or increase the services they provide better to customers.Top of Form The research was carried out at PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk Kudus Branch. This study uses motivation as an independent variable, job satisfaction as an intervening variable, and employee performance as the dependent variable. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of motivation on job satisfaction, test and analyze the effect of motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The samples used were PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk Kudus Branch as many as 119 respondents using purposive sampling method. The analysis used include validity, reliability test, the classical assumption test, model test, linear regression analysis and intervening. Based on the t-test were performed and the results of linear regression analysis can be seen that motivation has positive and significant impact on job satisfaction, job satisfaction and a significant positive effect on employee performance, motivation, and a significant positive effect on employee performance. While based on the results of linear regression analysis to test the mediating (intervening) note that job satisfaction variables capable of being an intervening variable of coeffients standardized calculations for the indirect effect of work motivation on employee performance through greater job satisfaction than the direct effect of motivation on employee performance. Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the student’s motivation and the motivation factors to influence on interest in entrepreneurship. According to the vision and mission of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNDIP, to shape the culture of entrepreneurship we needs to know the motivations of students to further accelerate the establishment of entrepreneurial culture. The target population of this study were students of the Faculty of Economics and Business UNDIP who have taken entrepreneurship courses. The number of samples used was 142 students. This study using a multiple linear regression analysis, where the analysis tool is used to understand the extent of the influence of  risk tolerance, self-efficacy in entrepreneurship, and freedom in the work to student’s interest in entrepreneurship. In addition, this study also used ANOVA as the other analysis tools, ANOVA serves as a different test of variance. This study will analyze the differences between student interest in entrepreneurship with a background of parents who worked as an entrepreneur and non-entrepreneurs. The results obtained indicate that all independent variables has a positive and significant effect on the student’s interest to become an entrepreneur, self efficacy was the strongest variable affecting the interest in entrepreneurship. ANOVA test results for different test of variance showed that there was differences students interest in entrepreneurship among parents who work as entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study is grounded by the decreasing of Sunsilk’s market share in 3 (three) years a row which indicates the occurrence phenomenon of consumer switching from Sunsilk to other shampoo. This phenomenon is usually called brand switching. Therefore, the problem in this study is “what are the factors that influence consumers switching from shampoo to another shampoo brand”. This study examined three independent variables; there are consumer dissatisfaction, competitor’s advertising and variety seeking behavior toward brand switching behavior. The purpose of this study is to find the influence of the independent variables toward brand switching behavior. This study uses a questionnaire method with purposive sampling technique to 100 people who had used Sunsilk before and have switched to another shampoo brand. Then, the writer uses the qualitative and quantitative analysis to analyze the data. The quantitative analysis includes the test of validity, reliability, classic assumption, double regression analysis, test hypotheses and test the feasibility of the model through ANOVAs test and value of adjusted R square. The results of this study indicate that the independent variables used in this study, that consumer dissatisfaction, competitor’s advertising and variety-seeking behavior is feasible to test the dependent variable through the ANOVAs test. The t test results showed that all independent variables are tested has a positive and significant effect on the brand switching behavior. The Adjusted R Square is 0,267 which indicates that 26,7% variation of brand switching behavior can be explained by the two independent variables and the remaining 73,3% is explained by other factors beyond this study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of consumer dissatisfaction, price and the need to variety product of brand switching decision of bar soap. This research was conducted on consumers Lifebuoy bar soap that has been moved to another brand of soap and bar soap sample set of 100 respondents using Accidential Sampling methods. Data ware collected by distributing questionnaires. Data analysis method was perfored by multiple linear regression using SPSS software. Data that has met the test validity, test reliability, and test the assumptions of classical. Based on analysis that used, can be pulled several conclusions of be donedoubled regression processing. this watchfulness is validity up to standard,reliabilitas, with free from heteroskedastisitas, multikolinearitas and escape testnormally. from regression similarity that got, variable dependent that has value most significant that is consumer dissatisfaction. hypothesis testing by using test t demo that variable consumer dissatisfaction, price and the need for variety, variables according to significant influence displacement brand. while in test f demo significant <0,05. matter thismeans variable displacement Brand (Y), Consumer Dissatisfaction (X1), Price (X2) and Needs Finding Variations (X3) to together influential manifestly towards displacement brand (Y). while determination coefficient is got with value adjusted R Square 48,4%, mean, variable displacement brand explainable by existence variable consumer dissatisfaction, price, advertising and the need for variety, while therest 51,6% can be influenced by variable other.
