Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence of product quality, service quality, and brand image to consumer satisfaction to provide solutions problems experienced by Yamaha motorcycle of decreased level in sales, market share, and user dissatisfaction on 2012 in Indonesia. The population used in this study is the students in Diponegoro University Semarang who use Yamaha motorcycle. Samples in this study were 100 respondents and the techniques used are non-probability sampling technique with Accidental Sampling approach. The researcher use validity test, reliability test, linier regression analysis, and hypothesis test supported by SPSS Statistics computer program version 17.0. Independent variables are product quality, service quality, brand image and dependent variable is consumer satisfaction. The result of research showed that product quality, service quality, and brand image  have positive and significant impact on consumer satisfaction. The results of analysis using the coefficient of determination is 54,5%  consumer satisfaction can be explained by variations of the product quality, service quality, brand image, while 45,5% explained by other variables that are not included in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of research want to know the effect of quality of service, facilities, and price to customer satisfaction at travel IQro’ Semarang. This study take travel IQro’ as the object  because  from  survey  in  some  travel  company  in  Semarang,  travel  IQro’  has different marketing strategy than other travel, and also from the data obtained there is a problem is a decrease in passanger quantity.The population in this study are the customers who use the services of travel IQro’ at least twice in the past three months. Sampling in this study using non-probability sampling technique, and the type of purposive sampling method. The analysis used in this study include validity and reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing including t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination (R2).Results of multiple regression analysis is, Y = 0,295 X1+ 0,351 X2+ 0,398 X3. It means that all independent variables, the quality of service, facilities and price have a positive influence on the dependent variable, consumer satisfaction. The independent variable is the most influential is the variable price, followed by a variable facility, and the last is the variable quality of service, and the coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) is 0,773. This means that 77,3% customer satisfaction is affected by prices, facilities and quality of service. While the remaining is influenced by other variables that are not addressed in thisstudy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of Institutional Ownership, Free Cash Flow, and Investment Opportunity Set toward Firm Value through Debt Policy as Intervening variable. Independent Variables in this research are Institutinal Ownership, Free Cash Flow, and Investment Opportunity Set. Intervening Variable is Debt Policy and dependent variable is Firm Value.The sample determinity method is Purpose Sampling method. Samples in this research are non financial companies in Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) period of 2008-2011 which amounts to 103 companies. The analysis technique in this research is Structural Equation Model.Based on Structural Equation Model test, the models was filled the goodness of fit criteria. According to result, institutional ownership has a positive and significant effect on firm value, so that hypothesis 1 is accepted. Institutional ownership has a negative and significant effect on debt policy,so that hypothesis 2 is accepted. Free cash flow has apositive and significant impact on debt policy, so that hypothesis 3 is accepted. Investment opportunity set has a negative and significant impact on debt policy, so that hypothesis 4 is accepted. Investment opportunity set has a positive and significant effect to firm value, so that hypothesis 5 is accepted. Debt policy has a negative and significant effect to firm value, so that hypothesis 6 is accepted. Direct effect of Institutional ownership (X1) to firm value (Y) is   0.175 and indirect effect institutional ownership (X1) effect to value of the company (Y) through the debt policy (X4) is 0.037 , direct effect is higher than indirect effect so that hypothesis 7 is rejected. Direct effect of Investment opportunity set (X3) to firm value (Y) is 0.153, and indirect effect Investment opportunity set (X3) to firm value (Y) through debt policy (X4) is 0.0674. Direct effect is higher than indirect effect so that hypothesis 8 was rejected

Abstract

This study aims to determine how big the influence perceptiont of price, perceptiont of quality product, and promotion of the buying decision on Suzuki motorcycle in Solo. And this research also aims to analyze the most dominant factors that influence on buying decisions of Suzuki Motorcyle in Solo.The population used in this study is consumers of Suzuki motorcycle around Solo. The sample in this study are 100 respondents and the technique used is non-probability samplingtechnique with the approach of purposive sampling.From the analysis result, the indicators in this study are valid and reliables. The most dominant  factor  that  influence  on  purchase  decisions  are  promotion,  then  the  perceptiont  ofproduct quality, and the last is perceptiont of price. Then though the F Test can be seen that theindependent variables feasible to test the of the dependent variable success product. The result ofAdjusted  R  Square  is  0,439,  it  means  that  independen  variable  can  explain  about  43,9% of dependen variable

Abstract

Research aims to know whether price, quality of product, and service quality influence the decision purchase consumers Waroeng Steak & Shake and analyzing factor the most dominant ineffecting decision purchase consumers Waroeng Steak & Shake in Semarang.The population in this research is the consumer of consumers Waroeng Steak & Shake. The sample  is  taken  from  100  respondents  with  the  Non-Probability  Sampling  technique  withAccidental Sampling approach that the determination of the sample is accidentally taken—those who meet the researcher can be a sample if deemed appropriate.The  result  showed  price,  quality  of  product,  and  service  quality  have  positive  and significant impact to the purchasing decision. Based on the statistic data analysis, the indicators in this research is valid and the variable is reliable. In the classical testing assumption, the regressionmodel is free multicollonierity, the heteroscedasticity does not occur, and normal distribution. Order individually from each of the most influential variable is the variable quality of product andservice quality, while the most influential variables are low is the price. The suggestion from the writer to increase the consumer's purchasing decision can be carried out by means of competitivepricing, increasing the diversity of products, and improve the quality of his service. Waroeng Steak& Shake the need to preserve the elements which have been rated good (price, quality of product, and service quality) by the customer as well as the need to fix the things that are lacking (promotion).

Abstract

Manufacture firms are in the stage of large enterprise companies that support the economy of the country. In the scope of manufacture emerged many new players that enhance competition by both new players and old players, so there is a big possibility to do earnings management.  This study aimed to examine the effect of Good Corporate  Governane  structure and mechanism,  firm size,  and  leverage  on earnings  management.  Good  Corporate  Governance  indicators  used  are institutional ownership, managerial ownership, the proportion of independent commissioners  and audit committee.This study uses secondary data, that was financial report of the companies in the manufacturing category listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample used 19 companies in the  manufacturing  category  during  the  period  2007-2011.  The  analysis  method  used  is  OLS regression (Ordinary Least Square) with a significance level of 5%.Based on the results from ordinary  least square regression  analysis for six independent variables  showed  that  managerial  ownership  and  the  audit  committe  has  significant  effect  on earnings management, but managerial ownership has different direction with the hypothesis.While the institutional ownership, the proportion of independent comissioner, firm size and leverage does not influence earnings management.

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine the influence of the company's financial performance through the net profit margin, current ratio, debt to equity ratio, growth, firm size and collateralizable assets of company’s dividend payout ratio in non-financial companies listed inIndonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period 2007 to 2010. Problems of this research is that the contradiction between theory and facts about the effect of net profit margin, current ratio, debt to equity ratio, growth, firm size and collateralizable assets during the observation period in 2007-2010.This research uses secondary data of the non-financial companies which listed on BEI periods 2007-2010. Research sample of 23 non-financial companies, where the method used is purposive sampling, sampling method that takes an object with the specified criteria. The method of analysis used is Multiple Regression with a significance level of 5%. Besides previously also tested the assumption which includes the classical normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroskedastisity test, and autocorrelation test.The results of the research show that Net Profit Margin has positive significant influence to dividend payout ratio and Current Ratio has negative significant influence to dividend payout ratio, while DER, Growth, Firm Size, and Collateralizable Assets have no influence to dividend payout ratio. All of this variable significant effected the value simultaneously, with the sum of the effect was 12,5%

Abstract

The amount of liquidity through current ratio (CR) in food and beverage companies experienced significant changes over period 2007-2010. Liquidity is important area in financial management because it refers to the availability of the current assets of the business to pay offthe current liabilities. Liquidity reflects the management of short-term assets and liabilities of the firms with the maturities of less than a year. Continuous monitoring is required to maintain optimum levels of various components of liqudity. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence toward the corporate liquidity. The population in this research is taken from food and beverage companies which enlisted in the BEI from year 2007 - 2010. The samples are obtained by using the purposive sampling method until only 16 companies left to be taken as samples in this research. This research uses regression analysis method to find the effect of independent variables, such as profitability,  size, receivable turnover , debt ratio , and operating cycleBased on the result of regression analysis for five independent variables, there are only receivable turnover and operating cycle that have a significant effect on the corporate liquidity. While the other variables such as profitability, size, and debt ratio have no significant effect on the corporate liquidity in food and beverages companies sector which enlisted in the BEI from year 2007 – 2010.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the increasing number of mail delivery services and goods and the growing sophistication of technology. While the selected object in this study is customer of Purworejo Post Office where a decline in the level of customer arrivals Purworejo Post Office and the increasing number of complaints. Purpose of this study was to determine the effect of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy towards customer satisfaction Purworejo PostOffice.After a literature review and compose of hypotheses, data were collected through quantitative methods used questionnaires to 150 customers of Purworejo Post Office. Methods of analysis used multiple linear regression analysis. Sampling technique in this study using accidental sampling.The results showed that the value of the F test was 63,139. In this study, the value of coefficient of determination showed 75,8, the model in this study were able to explain variation in the dependent variabel of 0.758 or 75.8%. The variabels of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy affect the customer satisfaction Purworejo Post Office

Abstract

The growing pattern of education is so fast and turns that led to competiton in the field of education, especially at college. The research was conducted at the Faculty of Economics and Business Diponegoro University Semarang. This study aims to determine the effect of service Quality Variables. Tangible/ Physical evidence, Reliability/Durability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy towards Student’s satisfaction part of Economics anf Business Diponegoro University. In this study data were collected by using questionnaire to 98 respondents. Which aim to determine the response of the respondents to each variable. The test data which is used include validity test, reliability test, classic assumption  test (multicollinearity, normality, heteroscedasticity), multiple linear regression, goodness of fit ( F test, t test, the coeficient of determination). From the result that using the regression analysis, showed that the value of the F test was 20,897. In this study the value of coefficient of determination showed 50.6, the model in this study were able to explain variation in the dependent variabel of 0.506 or 50.6%. The variables of Physical evidence/ tangible, Reliability/ Durability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, all have positive and significant of student satisfactionin service quality of Academic Administration part Faculty of Economics and Business Diponegoro University.
