Abstract

The objective of this research was to produce worthy worksheet in English which was oriented with mind mapping using iMindMap application on the material of animal tissue structure. This research was done using Fenrich instructional development cycle model. The research result showed that the average value of validation from two biology lectures, a biology teacher, a linguist, and a computer expert towards the student’s worksheet was about 92,81%. The percentage of student’s value to make mind map using iMindMap application was about 86,67%. Most students gave positive response towards the student’s worksheet which was developed, so the student’s worksheet was worthy to be used with very good category. Abstract

This research aim was to (1) discover the appropriateness of student worksheet which is developed in observation activities; (2) analyze the concept understanding which is used to reach learning outcomes; (3) describe student activity; and (4) describe students’ and teacher’s response towards the observation activities. Type of research is applied research using one-shot case study. The result showed that the developed worksheet was appropriate to be used in field by score of 85, 71%. The classical learning outcomes was 91% and performed by 31 students. Student’s activities were categorized very well for each aspect by score 3,00. Teacher’s and students’ response towards the observation activities was also positive. Keywords- fungal wet-preserved media, observation, learning outcomes

Abstract

This research aims to 1) produce student worksheets making VCO enzymatically, 2) produce VCO enzymatically of fruits and leaf, 3)  describe the feasibility, 4) describe result of students process skills observation in group  and 5) describe the response of student worksheets has been developed. Development of student worksheets using 4-D models include define, design, develope, and disseminate, but in this study only conducted to develope stage.  In the design stage begins with finding literature on proteolytic enzyme or protease contained in fruits and plants. After literatures study, conducted by making VCO based materials have been obtained. The results showed that results of VCO obtained by the addition of enzyme aloe leaf have criteria VCO is good through organoleptic tests are clear color, the aroma is typical coconut and tastes like regular oil. That results of VCO used in the development of student worksheets is melon, cucumber and aloe leaf have criteria are clear color, the aroma is not overpowering and tastes like regular oil. Trial of student worksheets implemented at SMA Bina Bangsa Surabaya by the number of students is 14 children. The student worksheets categorized decent with mean score of 3.69 with range of 1-4. Student worksheets developed to get a positive response by 90.72% and observation of students process skills in group during the making of VCO is less-excellent with a score between 40-100% with the score range 1-100%. Abstract

This research aims to produce student worksheet in the base of Learning Cycle 5-E in biotechnology materials which is theoretically appropriate for learning process. The research designed by 4-D model. The developed student worksheet was tested on 15 students in 12th grade of SMA I Kediri. The instrument that is being used is validation sheet. Results showed that the developed student worksheet in the base of Learning Cycle 5-E is appropriate to be used. Abstract

Majority of students get difficulty in learning and identifying animals characteristics, for the example sponges. One of possible reason is  the students never seen these animals by theirselvesf. Based on this problem objective of this research were to develop preserved media of sponges and describe it feasibility theoretically and empirically to support students in learning and identifying sponges. This was development research, which developed preserved media of sponge that developed by ASSURE method. The results of this research indicated that preserved media of sponges was theoretically feasible for the learning process with the percentage’s 95.55% (category: very feasible) and empirically 98.5% (category: very feasible). Abstract

The objective of this research were to develop Practice Worksheets of Insects as well as describe theoretical and empirical feasibility of this worksheets. This practice worksheets was developed by using 4-D models (without disseminate stage). The results indicated that Practice Worksheets of Insects was feasible (percentage 81.25%). The trial of implementation in the school indicated the majority of students gave positive response to Practice Worksheets of Insects, namely 88%. Keywords: practice worksheets, insect, first grade of senior high school

Abstract

Chromosome, DNA, and gene are concept that complex and complicated. Learn methode that used to explain this concept are run of one direction, it make the student more memorize rather than understanding a concept, so their learning outcome is low. Baesd of that problem, the direction of this research is to develop the student worksheet based on guided discovery, so can increasing student learning exhaustiveness. The definite experiment do at science thir grade of MA Matholi’ul Anwar Lamongan. The type of this research is development research based on 4-D development procedure. The result of this research indicates student learning exhaustiveness namely 83%.   Keyword: student worksheet, guided discovery, genetic substance.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran terpadu merupakan salah satu model implementasi kurikulum yang dianjurkan untuk diaplikasikan pada semua jenjang pendidikan terutama pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama. Pembelajaran terpadu yang dikembangkan ini disesuaikan dengan salah satu prinsip pengembangan Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) dan penerapannya di sekolah harus beragam dan terpadu. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dilakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu bilingual pada materi mengamati jasad renik dalam setetes air kelas VII SMP. Pembelajaran terpadu model integrated merupakan keterkaitan dalam seluruh bidang, keterkaitan antar topik, antar konsep dan antar keterampilan. Topik observe microbe merupakan hasil perpaduan antara konsep mikroorganisme dan mata dalam mata pelajaran Biologi dengan konsep mikroskop pada mata pelajaran Fisika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu tipe integrated dengan materi pengamatan jasad renik dalam setetes air SMP kelas VII. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran ini dinilai dari telaah perangkat oleh guru bidang studi dan dosen ahli meliputi telaah syllabus, lesson plan, student’s book, student’s worksheet, dan evaluation test serta keterbacaan buku siswa/student’s book oleh siswa menggunakan angket respon siswa. Hasil telaah perangkat pembelajaran dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian yaitu 1) Perangkat pembelajaran IPA terpadu pada sub materi pengamatan jasad renik dalam setetes air kelas VII SMP tipe integrated yang dikembangkan telah tersedia dan sangat layak untuk diterapkan. 2) Nilai rata-rata aspek dan nilai rata-rata penelaah sebesar 95.7% kategori sangat layak. 3)  Respon siswa terhadap keterbacaan Student’s Book dan Student’s Worksheet berturut-turut 91.10% dan 93.06% kategori sangat layak. Kriteria kelayakan ini dibuktikan dari rata-rata seluruh penelaah maupun rata-rata aspek seluruh perangkat pembelajaran menunjukkan ≥81%.   Kata kunci: Perangkat pembelajaran, IPA Terpadu tipe integrated, pengamatan jasad renik.

Abstract

This research aims to produce plant tissue preparation use wenter as the alternative dye in the plant tissue staining, describe absorbing each of the stem and root plant tissue  component used wenter as the alternative dye. Development of the plant tissue preparation include analyze Standard competence and Basic competence in the XI grade of the Biology in SMA, making of pletekan (Ruellia sp.) and beluntas (Pluchea indica) plant tissue preparation used wenter as alternative dye with simple method, analyze plant tissue preparation to the plant anatomy lecturer, microtechnique lecturer and teacher of Biology in SMA. The research result show that each of pletekan and beluntas stem and root tissue have capability absorb wenter dye with different intensity. The plant tissue with thin cell wall, primary cell wall and life protoplasms like parenchyma, epidermis, floem and protoxylem (trakea) have high intensity to absorb the wenter dyes, the cell wall of that tisue look red colour. The tissue with secondary cell wall and lignified like schlerenchyma, metaxilem have low intensity to absorb wenter dye, the cell wall of that tissue look light yellow. Abstract

Inheritance contains some highly difficult concepts because it seems complex and complicated. In addition, it needs a long time and suitable equipments to do practical work. So that it requires worksheets to overcome the problems and can help student to understand about inheritance. One of  ways that can be done is developing student worksheets based on metacognitive strategy. The student worksheets are expected to encourage students to understand with their own ability. This research aims to determine the feasibility of the student worksheets, student’s metacomprehension skills, student’s learning outcomes, student’s response to the student worksheets and to obtain student’s worksheets that are feasible. This research used 4-D model. In this case, the research only applied three steps (3-D models). They are “define”, “design”, and “develop”. The research subject are student worksheets based on metacognitive strategy on inheritance. The student worksheets were tried out in class IX of Jenangan Junior High School 2 with 20 students, using “one shot case study” method. The results show that the student worksheets developed were feasible with 3,67 average of score (very good category). The average student’s metacomprehension skills were categorized very good. The student’s learning outcomes showed that 85% of students were mastery with 60% of learning objectives are mastery and the students responded positively to the student worksheets.   Keyword: student worksheets based on metacognitive strategy, inheritance, 4-D models Â
