Abstract

This research aimed to describe the theoretical feasibility of learning media of interactive multimedia on membrane transport cell topic based on the validation value of media. These media were validated based on three component, namely: topic, language, and presentation. The media were validated by biology lecturers and teachers. The validation value of media was 92,1%. This result showed that interactive multimedia were very feasible. Keyword: interactive multimedia, membrane transport cell, feasibility of media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce of students worksheet oriented guided discovery on Pteridophyta which is feasible theoritically and empirically by validation and student’s responses. This research was developmental research which developed guided discovery student’s worksheet by 4-D method (without disseminate phase). The result showed that the guided discovery student’s worksheet have been developed was feasible, both theoritically and empirically. The worksheet got good result, because the validation result showed that 95,50%. Abstract

Giving questionnaires to high school students showed that they have difficulties in understanding the biology subject. Therefore, students need to be taught a kind of learning strategy that can make them understand the biology materials easily. One alternative is using a Mind Mapping Plus. This research aims to describe the feasibility of The Mind Mapping Plus and the students’ response. The Mind Mapping Plus was developed using Fenrich model. The feasibility data were obtained from experts and practitioner reviews. Students’ responses were obtained from questionnaire. The results showed that Mind Mapping Plus is feasible and categorized good. Students respond to the use of Mind Mapping Plus positively. Abstract

Based on the results of questionnaire spread, students have difficulty in understanding the biology concept because they feel that biology lesson needs too much memorizing, so that it is easy to be forgotten. As a consequence, it requires an approach that links the material to students real-world. One of the approach is CTL. Its implication can be facilitated by ICT-based learning media. One of the biology material being suitable to be taught using CTL is human respiratory system, because this material intimately associates with the daily life of students. This study aims to produce ICT media used to support learning with CTL, describe the theoretical feasibility of the media based on the result of experts and teacher reviews. The media was developed using the 4-D model. The theoretical feasibility was obtained from the review result of the media by experts and teacher. This research results an ICT media used to support learning with CTL. Based on review of the media, average scores of 3.87 to 4 are gained. It is categorized theoretically very feasible. The learning media based on ICT to support learning with CTL are feasible theoretically to be used in the learning process on the subject of human respiratory system. Abstract

Genetics substance sub topic is abstract, so an appropriate media needed to motivate and help students to understand it. The aim of this study is to produce a web-based learning media by utilizing the LMS Moodle on Genetics substance sub topic and describe media feasibility theoretically based on media experts, Genetics experts, and Biology’s teacher validation. Empirically based on media legibility. The results showed that the web-based learning media on Genetics substance sub topic were feasible for use in learning process with a very decent categories based on media format aspect (93.65%); suitability of the material (100%), and legibility (95.7%). Abstract

The development of Biology worksheet oriented by active learning with Mind Mapping strategies on the material structure and function of plant tissues in class XI SMA objectives describe the feasibility of theoretical and empirical the Biology worksheet were oriented by Active Learning with Mind mapping strategies in the subject matter on the structure and function of tissues plants from the aspects of the presentation by structure, content and language. This type of research is the development of research. Abstract

One of learning strategies which can be done by teacher to surmount imbalance of right and left brain activity is using of learning strategy of student question. This research was conducted to describe effectiveness of “student question” learning strategy to the student’s learning outcome. This research was conducted in three steps: preparing, implemantation, and analysis step. The research result showed that percentage of student which get value of learning outcome with predicate mastery about 80% and not mastery about 20%. Abstract

Circulating of the teaching material of ecosystem has not met the seven pillars of contextual teaching and learning (CTL), whereas the material is a material related to daily life. The porpouse of this research is to produce biology tecahing material based on CTL on ecosystem and to describe the theoritical reasonably of biology teaching material based on CTL. This research is development research reference to the development of 4D models with the steps are Define, Design, and Develop without Desseminate step. The target of this teaching material of ecosystem based CTL. This research showed that the teaching material developed was declared very decent with the review by 91,69%. Abstract

The objective this research are produces interactive slide with a viable approach to learning styles is used as an alternative learning resources, to describe the feasibility of interactive slide learning styles approach as an alternative learning resources, to describe the response of students to the interactive slides with style approach to learning, and to describe students behavior during trial of interactive slides with learning style approach. This type of research is performed with six development stages, among others, 1) analysis of student characteristics, 2) formulate learning objectives, 3) determine the types of learning resources and materials used, 4) organize an interactive slide diversity of living things, 5) study of the members, and 6) the trial limited. Alternative Learning Resources Form of Interactive Slide with Approach of Learning Styles on Diversity of Living Matter declared fit for use as an alternative learning resource by the percentage feasibility criteria in terms of content and format of learning resources as large as 92.08%, and get a very good response from students, as an alternative learning resource with big percentage of revenue 97.5%. Abstract

The objective of this research were to develop teaching learning materials, to describe the feasibility of teaching learning materials, and to describe the response of students about teaching learning materials oriented active learning action learning strategy on ecosystem. This research was a development research of teaching learning materials using four-D models. The development of teaching learning materials result tested finitely to 15 students in MTS Al Fatich Surabaya. Parameter that measured are the feasibility of teaching learning materials, and student’s response. Data analized in quantitative descriptive. Based on the results of the validation, teaching learning materials includes student worksheets and book are feasible and get percentage in series 85,09% and 85,97% with very proper criteria and get positive response from students that showed with percentage of students response to students book and student’s worksheet in series 90,3% and 86,7%.
