Abstract

ABSTRACT. The problem in this research was the low ability of mild mentally retardation children of class II in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan – Sidoarjo to mathematics subject matter of 1 – 10 addition material. This research had purpose to know the children’s ability to the material of 1 – 10 addition in learning mathematics through bowling game. This research was a class treatment research using descriptive qualitative approach. The subject in this research was mild mentally retardation children of class II in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan – Sidoarjo which consisted of 4 boys and 2 girls. The instruments used in this research were the observation of children’s activities sheet and evaluation in the end of lesson. Through bowling game, learning mathematics of 1 – 10 addition could enhance the learning result of the mild mentally retardation children of class II in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan – Sidoarjo. This was proved by the enhancement of the children’s learning result to each meeting so that it reached 7,3 above the criteria standard of minimum completeness determined by the school i.e. 7,0. The children’s learning acitvity using bowling game to 1 – 10 addition ran well and effectively. The children’s response toward bowling game in mathematics subject matter with the material of 1 – 10 addition was very positive and fun.     Keywords: Learning mathematics, bowling game

Abstract

ABSTRACT The less fine motor skills of cerebral palsy children led to their difficulties in doing their daily activities especially in school environment like writing and other activities that require fine motor skills. The purpose of this study to know whether there is influence of quantum learning on the fine motor skills of cerebral palsy children in SDLB-D1 YPAC Surabaya. This study aims to train and develop fine motor skills of cerebral palsy children using quantum learning by applying motor activity. This research used a quantitative approach with pre-experimental research by One Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The subject of this study were 6 students of class 1-3 in SDLB-D1 YPAC Surabaya. The data analysis revealed that the average score for the pre-test was 37,40 and the post-test was 60,73. Using the sign test, it was obtained that Zobserved= 2,05 was higher than crisis values =1,96, meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it showed that quantum learning fine motor skills of cerebral palsy children  at SDLB-D1 YPAC Surabaya. Keyword: Quantum Learning, Fine Motor Skills, Cerebral Palsy

Abstract

 Abstract. The mild mentally retardation children in gross motoric got disturbance, this was caused by the limitedness of ability or intelligence and also less concentration. To handle the mild mentally retardation in gross motoric things it could be used a way i.e. managing the body through doing sport in the form of cheerful rhythm gymnastic. This research had purpose to describe the enhancement of gross motoric ability of class III mild mentally retardation children in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan through cheerful rhythm gymnastic i.e. they could do the cheerful rhythm gymnastic correctly. This research was a class treatment research which was implemented in 2 cycles and each cycle was done in 2 meetings. The subject of this research was mild mentally retardation children of class III in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan Sidoarjo. The method of this research was descriptive qualitative and the data collection technique used observation and documentation. The research success criterion was stated success if the value had reached minimum 75%. The research result was there was enhancement of gross motoric ability from pre cycle i.e. 37,7%, cycle I became 57,2% while cycle II became 80%. Based on the explanation above, it could be concluded that cheerful rhythm gymnastic could enhance the gross motoric ability of class III mild mentally retardation children in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan Sidoarjo.         Keywords : Gross motoric, cheerful rhythm gymnastic.

Abstract

Abstract. Mentally retardation made the children difficult to recognize Hijaiyah letters. To be able to recognize Hijaiyah letters, the children had to understand every single Hijaiyah letters. To solve the problem, the researcher applied direct learning with audiovisual media which had purpose to enhance the recognizing Hijaiyah letters ability from Alif till Jim to the middle mentally retardation children of class III in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan Sidoarjo. The purpose of this research was to describe the enhancement of recognizing Hijaiyah letters ability through direct learning with audiovisual media to the middle mentally retardation children of class III in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan Sidoarjo. The methods of data collection in this research were observation and test. The data, which had been collected, was analized to describe the enhancement of recognizing Hijaiyah letters ability to the middle mentally retardation children with audiovisual media by the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. This research was a class treatment research which consisted of 2 cycles in which each cycle was implemented 2 meetings. The research result indicated that the recognizing Hijaiyah letters ability of middle mentally retardation children of class III in SLB Aisyiyah Tulangan Sidoarjo in cycle I had 54.8% result in the average of cycle I and 79,1% in cycle II. So, there was 24,3% enhancement.   Keywords: Hijaiyah letters, direct learning, audiovisual media.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Vocational skills needs for disable teenagers, so they can have ability to survive in society as well as will not depend on others. In this research, skills obtained was culinary skills especially producing banana and cassava chips. Direct learning was applied in this study by giving structural procedural learning conducted through stages. This research aimed to examine the effect of direct learning model for vocational skills of students at SMADB-D YPAC Surabaya. This research used a quantitative approach with pre-experimental research by One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The experiment was conducted by 8 meetings consisting 1 pretest, 6 treatments and 1 posttest and was participated by 6 students of SMALB-D YPAC Surabaya. The data analysis revealed that the average score for the pre-test was 47.84 and the post-test was 69.75. In conclusion, Zcount was 2.05 compared to the crisis value 5%, so Ztabel was 1.96. It indicated that Zcount is higher than Ztable (Zh > Zt), meaning that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Thus, it showed that direct learning influence vocational skill of disable student at SMALB-D YPAC Surabaya. Keyword: Direct learning, Vocational.

Abstract

ABSTRACT  Inclusive education is the provision of education system that provides opportunities for all children with special needs or gifted talented to get the same education with another regular students and respect diversity, and without discrimination for all students. Through inclusive education, students with special needs can follow education or learning in the educational environment together with the regular students. The purpose of this study was to describe the management of inclusive education at Public Senior High School 10 Surabaya. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are obtained  through observation, interviews and documentation. In the  data analysis techniques used several steps including: the data condensation, data display (presentation of data), conclusion and verification. The conclusions of this study were: 1 ) student management includes enrollment, all students with special needs have equal opportunity but with a note must have intelligence above minety (90), in accordance with the number of available quota as well as consideration of resources owned ( 2) curriculum management using a flexible and modifiable 2013 curriculum (3), 3) management of teachers and education personnel, must have specific criteria competent in their field, 4) classroom management and learning using class setting: inclusive with full regular classes; 5) management of facilities and infrastructure for learning media, accessible school infrastructure for students with special needs and environmentally friendly for regular students; 6) funding management of government, parents, and community participation 7) relations of society and school there was school committees and cooperation with universities.   Keywords: management, inclusive education

Abstract

ABSTRACT An experiential learning was a learning which took the students part in direct experience. A stranger safety behavior was someone’s attitude in facing those who were not known yet in order that they could interact and communicate well, could understand how someone would do crime and what thing should be done to avoid someone’s crime intention. In this case, someone with autism disturbance should also have good stranger safety in the view of limitedness and disturbance belonged. So, the focus of this research specifically observed about how the application, problem, and effort were to handle the problems related with the application of experiential learning model toward stranger safety behavior to autism students. This research used experiment research with single subject arrangement with A-B-A design. This research subject was one autism student in SMP Negeri 2 Sedati Sidoarjo. Based on the analysis done it was indicated that in baseline phase (A1) the subject had stranger safety behavior with percentage score 33% with the stability extent (0,6) and mean level (3,66) and it was obtained upper limit i.e. (3,96) and below limit i.e. (3,36). In intervention phase (B) stranger safety behavior got percentage 80% so it indicated stable data with stability extent (1,2) and mean level (6,4) and it was obtained upper limit (7) and below limit (5,8). And, in baseline phase (A2) the subject’s score of stranger safety behavior reached 100% so it indicated stable data with stability extent (0,6) and mean level (7,66) and it was obtained upper limit (7,96) and below limit (7,36). According to the data analysis and discussion it could be concluded that the experiential learning model could experience to enhance the stranger safety behavior which it obtained the highest score 4 in baseline phase (A1) before and after intervention in baseline phase (A2) it obtained the highest score 8.   Keywords: Experiential learning model, stranger safety behavior

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengaruh Metode Edutainment Bermedia Video Modeling Terhadap Peningkatkan Keterampilan Berpakaian Gangguan perilaku yang dialami oleh anak autis dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya yaitu keterampilan berpakaian sendiri yang perlu ditingkatkan pada anak autis karena dapat digunakan sebagai bekal dalam kemandirian dimasa depan agar tidak bergantung terhadap orang lain disekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu membuktikan pengaruh penerapan metode edutainment bermedia video modeling terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpakaian pada anak autis di SLB Putra Harapan Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian pre-eksperimen, dengan menggunakan rancangan penelitian One Group Pretest Post Test Design. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes perbuatan dengan teknik analisis data statistik nonparametrik dengan menggunakan sign test. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikan dalam metode edutainment bermedia video modeling terhadap peningkatan keterampilan berpakaian pada anak autis di SLB Putra Harapan Sidoarjo. Kata Kunci: Metode edutainment, video modeling, berpakaian, anak autis. ABSTRACT Influence of Edutainment Method of Video Modeling to Increase Skill of Dressing in Children with Autism on SLB Putra Harapan Sidoarjo Behavioral disorders experienced by children with autism can affect of daily life one of them is the skills of self-dressing that needs to be improved in children with autism because it can be used as a provision in the future independence in order not to depend on others around them. The purpose of this study is to proving the effect of the application of edutainment video modeling method to increase the skill of dressing in children with autism on SLB Putra Harapan Sidoarjo. This research uses quantitative approach and type of pre-experiment research, using One Group Pretest Post Test Design research design. Technique of collecting data in the form using assessment of behavioral test with nonparametric statistical analysis by using sign test. The result of data analysis shows that there is a significant influence in edutainment method of video modeling to increase the dress skill in children with autistic on SLB Putra Harapan Sidoarjo.
