Abstract

The composition of labor groups is one of the main factors determining their productivity. So far, in Indonesia the labor composition is based on both the Indonesian National Standard (Standar Nasional Indonesia/ SNI) of 2001 and the result of housing developers’ 'trial and error test'. However, these compositions do not produce an optimal productivity. This study is aimed at obtaining an ideal composition of a labor group and equivalent coefficient as well as actual productivity differences on productivity of the SNI 2001. The method used are field observation and interview on 260 labors from a group of the middle-class house's construction in Malang – East Java. The data obtained were processed by using descriptive statistics and statistical test for mean differences. The results of this research show that the ideal compositions of masonry foundation and bricklaying labors are: 1 mason: 2 labors, and 1 mason: 1½ labors for wall plastering. The equivalent coefficients for various mason groups are also obtained. Compared with the actual productivity of SNI 2001, the field labors’ productivities are 108, 5%, 19%, and 155% for masonry foundation, bricklaying, and wall plastering, respectively

Abstract

This research investigates the S wave velocity structure under Ontong-Java Plateau in Equator Western Pacific using seismogram analysis of B041196F earthquake at various observatory stations. The analyzed wave phases are the S wave, Love and Rayleigh surface wave phases and core reflected ScS and ScS2 wave phases. Seismogram comparison shows different discrepancies that depend on the azimuth direction from hypocenter. South East area of OJP has positive anomaly that differs from the other previously seismological research in the same area. Eastwards area of OJP has negative anomaly like the other result of seismological research. On other azimuth direction indicates that positive anomaly occurred not only in the upper mantle but also at mantle layers till CMB.

Abstract

Nowadays, decision support plays an important role in decision-making, errors in decisionmaking is able to lose the competition. Decision-making is very complicated especially when the problem is in multiobjective problem. To learn decision making through play a game is an interesting thing. Player plays a game but actually, he or she learns about how to make a decision. In this research, the objective is to make Non-Player Character (NPC) for serious game for electrical power production. This NPC is developed with 2 stages, the first stage is multiobjective optimization problem that uses NSGA2 method. This stage results some optimal solutions. The second stage is clustering that uses FCM method and FLVQ method to decrease number of solutions. In this stage, we compare these methods.

Abstract

Nowadays, mining of the musical ensemble has become very crucial since the information inside a musical ensemble is required by any musical contents services. In this research, we introduce Gamelan as one of the Indonesian traditional music instruments as our research objective. To indicate the changes of Gamelan features (i.e. tempo also the hammer struck styles) the segmentation of Gamelan music instruments is required as the music tagging tools. Adaptive LMS is employed for segmenting identical instruments that are played in the concurrent fashion. The target is to find how many instruments are played at the same time or separated by very short time (≤ 1 ms). The experiment results demonstrate robust detection with 0.02 ms accuracy for segmenting identical and simultaneously played Gamelan instruments. These results are employed for indicating the changes of Gamelan features, such as tempo also the hammer struck styles.

Abstract

Prestressed concrete structures cannot escape from corrosion problems, especially when they are subjected to very aggressive environment, such as chloride environment. For prestressed concrete structures, corrosion of prestressing strands may initiate structural collapse due to higher stress levels in the steel. Research on corrosion effect on concrete structures has mainly considered the effect of corrosion have on reinforced and full prestressed concrete structures. In this study, a structural framework will be developed to predict the flexural strength of partial prestressed concrete structures in a chloride environment. The framework developed will be combined with probability analysis to take into account the variability of parameters influencing the corrosion process.

Abstract

In this paper, it is discussed notion of maxplus algebra and their properties. A model of flow shop production system and analyze the dynamical behavior of the system for scheduling problems are derived by means of max-plus algebra. The solutions of these problems are that the optimal sequence of jobs and the regular scheduling are obtained.

Abstract

The structural modification of magnetic properties in as grown films of Co/Pd multilayer with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) has been systematically studied. The thickness dependence of element multilayer for both the Co thickness tCo and the Pd thickness tPd as parameters was investigated. Occurred PMA should be correlated to between bi-layers and following the enhancement of interface interaction due to the increase of repetition number bi-layers. The optimal experimental result was obtained for Co = 1.7 Å and Pd = 8.0 Å realizing very good square shape hysteresis curve and high coercive field Hc of 1.5 kOe.
