Abstract

Abstrak Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecepatan pemisahan (creaming velocity) antara dua fluida yang berfasa sama namun memiliki perbedaan densitas. Kajian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental dengan mengamati dan mengukur waktu pisah (settling time) pada tabung kaca dengan variasi diameter.Pengukuran waktu pisah dilakukan lima kali untuk setiap diameter tabung. Waktu pisah yang di peroleh digunakan sebagai dasar untuk menghitung diameter tetesan/droplet, konsentrasi tetesan, kecepatan pemisahan/creaming velocity dan Vstokes. Hasil perhitungan yang di peroleh diploting untuk membandingkan nilai konsentrasi tetesan (droplet consentration/Φ) terhadap kecepatan pemisahan (creaming velocity) pada campuran biodiesel/gliserin dan untuk mencari nilai Φc (fraksi volume fase biodiesel yang terdispersi rapat dalam gliserin/konsentrasi tetesan) dan k (konstanta pemisahan). Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi nilai konsentrasi tetesan (Φ) maka kecepatan pemisahannya (V cream) akan semakin berkurang dan dari persamaan Hunter bahwa V = Vstokes(1- )k.Φc , maka didapatkan nilai k dan Φc masing – masing adalah (5,1 ; 0,6 ; 1,2) dan (0,461 ; 0,9 ; 0,69) pada percobaan I, II, III dengan diameter tabung (1,3 ; 2,8 ; 3,9) cm.

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai paparan fume pengelasan pada pengelas di Divisi Kendaraan Khusus PT. X telah dilakukan. Penggunaan mesin Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) semakin luas di kawasan industri sehingga dampak kesehatan yang ditimbulkan fume pengelasan harus menjadi perhatian. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai paparan yang diterima pengelas. Kelompok non-pengelas merupakan pekerja di bagian administrasi digunakan sebagai pembanding. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan personal sampling pump terkalibrasi yang telah dipasang filter Mixed Cellulose Ester (MCE). Metode Gravimetri digunakan untuk menghitung konsentrasi partikulat terespirasi dan Indeks Bahaya (HI) digunakan untuk mengetahui bahaya dari proses pengelasan. Rata-rata konsentrasi partikulat terespirasi pada pengelas sebesar 7.913,94 μg/m3, sedangkan pada non-pengelas 219,91 μg/m3. Indeks Bahaya (HI) kelompok pengelas sebesar 9,45 sedangkan pada kelompok non-pengelas 0,51. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan tindakan pencegahan untuk mengurangi bahaya fume pengelasan. Abstract

Industrial waste pollution from the upstream of the Bengawan Solo river, makes the river's quality unfit for various purposes. Water filtering needs to be done first to improve its quality. One of them is the absorption process. One of the adsorbents that have good prospects is rice husk waste because of its ability to bind the adsorbate components. Study related to the effectiveness of rice husk charcoal as a water filter material need to be carried out before it can be used as a water filter material. Making appropriate filter technology needs to be done to apply it. The results of the analysis show that the filter can improve the physical parameters of water, namely reducing the residue by 25% on average. Meanwhile, from inorganic chemical parameters, only DO (Dissolved Oxygen) elements have decreased in quality standards. The organic chemical parameters, namely the phenol content are relatively constant, this indicates that rice husk charcoal is not effective in binding phenols. Based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001, the filtered water is classified as Class I. However, in its use, other parameters that have not been studied should be studied, namely microbiology, other organic chemistry, radioactivity, etc.The technological capacity needs to be increased by the use of a larger body and or a reduction in the thickness of the filter layer. Meanwhile, the manufacture of rice husk charcoal should use controlled combustion mechanisms and or husk charcoal activation with the chemical Na OH to strengthen the properties of the husk charcoal adsorbent against harmful chemical compounds.

Abstract

Motor vehicle theft is a criminal problem that very often occurs in the community. Along with the development of technology and the level of demand for motor vehicle safety in the community that begins to increase. One of the devices that has been developed is Internet of Things (IoT) technology which is able to connect and facilitate the communication process between machines, devices and humans via the internet network. The purpose of this research is to develop a monitoring application that utilizes IoT technology as a medium for tracking the location of motorized vehicles. This research consists of 3 main system components, including the End Device System found on the Raspberry Pi device, Web Service (Back-End System) as a service for data transfer, and Front-End System user interface in the form of a website application. This system has several main features, including realtime tracking and is equipped with an activity log which can be used to determine the identity of the vehicle user. Users can access these features through the application from the website. Based on the trials conducted, this system works well on motorized vehicles, however, this system has more dependence on the internet network available in each region.

Abstract

Klasifikasi jaringan internet dibutuhkan secara luas oleh berbagai pihak untuk penghematan, pengalokasian, pembatasan sumber daya internet. Berbagai teknik digunakan untuk hal tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan pendekatan machine learning khususnya algoritma jaringan syaraf tiruan (artificial neural network) yang selanjutnya disingkat ANN. ANN bekerja dengan cara meniru cara kerja syaraf otak manusia. AAN pada penelitian ini digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan paket jaringan. Dataset yang digunakan adalah terdiri dari 990.558 baris data, 4 kolom input(X) meliputi protocol, port, timestamp, packet length. Kolom output(Y) terdiri satu kolom 5 label (App, Sosmed, Game, Browsing, Streaming). Selanjutnya dataset ini dibagi menjadi 3 yaitu training, test, dan validation. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah, pertama, untuk mengetahui kemampuan algoritma ANN untuk pengklasifikasian paket berdasarkan per satu paket. Kedua, menemukan model ANN yang paling optimal untuk permasalahan diatas. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah Algoritma neural network dapat digunakan pada klasifikasi paket jaringan, tetapi jika dataset yang digunakan memiliki karakteristik-karakteristik seperti jumlah variabel X kecil, data pada variabel X sangat lebar jaraknya seperti (port, packet size, time to previous packet, protocol) maka akurasi tinggi sulit untuk didapatkan. Kedua, jika permasalahan yang diselesaikan memiliki kemiripan dengan penelitian ini, maka arsitektur model ANN yang paling optimal adalah: jumlah neuron input layer adalah 7 kali jumlah variabel X, jumlah neuron hidden layer adalah 1/2,8 kali jumlah neuron input, jumlah hidden layer satu, nilai dropout 0,33, metode aktivasi tanh-tanh-softmax, metode optimasi adamax. Nilai accuracy stabil didapatkan pada iterasi (epoch) ke-600, nilai loss stabil didapatkan pada epoch ke-1000. Nilai accuracy yang didapatkan sebesar 0,8 dan nilai loss 0,32 pada iterasi ke seribu.

Abstract

In the manufacturing industry the use turning machine has increased significantly, considering that the resulting production has a much better level of quality than conventional lathes. In the CNC machining process parameters greatly affect the quality of surface roughnees and the wear tools used in the machining proccees. The aim of this research is to obtain optimum surface quality and minimal tool smoothness with CNMG and DNMG tool materials. The parameter of the tool angle used are 800 and 550 with athickness of 1 mm, 0,5 mm and a cutting speed of 300 m/minute and feeding 0,25 mm/rotation. The result of the research that the optimum surface roughness values for CNMG and DNMG tool materials were 2,33 µm and 5,01 µm for cutting with a thickness of 1 mm and for cutting with a thicknes of 0,5 mm the roughness value were 1,44 µm and 2,33 µm. Tool wear with CNMG material with tool angle geometry 800 the amount of wear for cutting with a thickness of 1 mm and 0,5mmis 0,016 mm and 0,024mm, for tool 550 with DNMG material, the cutting thicknees of 1mm and 0,5 mm is 0,023 and 0,035 mm.

Abstract

Hydraulic Lifting Machine merupakan jenis alat angkat yang didesain untuk memindahan barang ditempat yang relatif sempit. Dalam mendesain suatu alat selain fungsi dan kegunaannya kekuatan struktur merupakan salah satu aspek yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Struktur tersebut haruslah mampu untuk menanggung beban yang timbul saat beroperasi dan memberikan keamanan bagi penggunanya dari kegagalan struktur. Oleh sebab itu tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kekuatan struktur Hydraulic Lifting Machine dengan menggunakan metode elemen hingga. Berdasarkan hasil dari simulasi yang telah dilakukan dimana nilai tegangan resultan dan defleksi maksimum yang timbul pada struktur Hydraulic Lifting Machine yaitu pada beban kerja 100 kg tegangan resultannya sebesar 90,62 MPa dengan defleksi maksimum 4,39 mm, pada beban kerja 250 kg tegangan resultannya sebesar 218,51 MPa dengan defleksi 10,71 mm, pada beban kerja 500 kg tegangan resultannya sebesar 431,68 MPa dengan defleksi 21,25 mm, pada beban kerja 750 kg tegangan resultannya sebesar 644,84 MPa dengan defleksi 31,79 mm, dan pada beban kerja maksimal 1000 kg tegangan resultannya sebesar 858 MPa dengan defleksi 42,33 mm. Berdasarkan pada peraturan BS-5950 Structure Use of Steelwork in Building, nilai batas defleksi maksimumnya tidak boleh lebih dari 7,778 mm. Sedangkan untuk batas tegangan resultannya berdasarkan peraturan Allowable Stress Design (ASD) untuk dinyatakan aman adalah sebesar 149,7 MPa. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa struktur Hydraulic Lifting Machine layak digunakan dengan beban kerja maksimal 100 kg dengan angka safety factor 2,5. Abstract

Hydrocarbon at ground level can be seen visually but this cannot produce accurate quantitative and qualitative values ​​in determining the total volume of the contaminated soil. Therefore a study is needed that can explain quantitatively and qualitatively on contaminated soil so as to facilitate handling and management. Geoelectricity is a quantitative method that can be used in determining soil surface conditions. Qualitatively, the composition of the soil can be proven by laboratory sampling to determine whether it is included in the category of hazardous and toxic waste (LB3) or not in accordance with Annex V contained in Government Regulation No.101 of 2014. This study focuses on the stages to identify their existence. hydrocarbon in the soil using a combination of geoelectric and grid sampling so as to get a more accurate volume of the indicated soil contamination. Whereas the limitation of this study is that it is carried out at a former B-mediation facility that is suspected of being contaminated. Based on the geoelectric studies that have been carried out, the volume of the soil surface that is suspected to be contaminated is 689 m3 (equivalent to 1,381 tons). Meanwhile, when using a combination of geoelectric data and grid sampling on the suspected area, the indicated volume of contamination was 594 m3 (equivalent to 1,190 tons). These results can be concluded that using a combination of geoelectric methods and grid sampling in identifying the presence of contamination on the soil surface can explain quantitatively and qualitatively the volume of contaminated soil with an accuracy of 115%.

Abstract

There are 2 problems that motivated the researchers to conduct this research. The first problems arises from internal and the second comes from external problems related to the weakness of engineering students in mastering English vocabulary. This study is intended to provide reinforcement to students on English vocabulary so that their English language skills increase. Through the repetition method, students are more likely to repeat and practice correct spelling when pronouncing English words. In addition, the ability to concoct sentences can also be trained with this method. The data in the form of field notes and questionnaire results show that with repetition students are able to increase English vocabulary accompanied by an increase in creating sentences.
