Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of leadership in improving performance through organizational commitment, motivation, and job satisfaction of village employees. This research is survey research. This study used primary data. The sample in this study was 100 villages. The sampling technique is using the census method. The data was obtained from the results of the distribution of questionnaires. The analytical tool in this study is regression. The results showed that there is a significant leadership relationship against organizational commitment, motivation, and job satisfaction. Leadership, organizational commitment, motivation, and job satisfaction were substantial to performance. The total R2 of 0.989 indicates the Performance Assessment from the variables of Leadership, Organizational Commitment, Motivation, and Job Satisfaction is 98.9%. Job satisfaction is the most effective variable in improving performance because it has the most significant importance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether work discipline, work environment, and job satisfaction have a real and significant impact on the performance of the Makassar Islamic University Academic Office and identify the most important variables affecting the performance of university academic staff. The research method use Analysis method. Data were collected using a list of questions or questionnaires filled out by respondents and then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that labor discipline (Discipline variable1), work environment variable X2 )and job satisfaction variable X3) also significantly demonstrate the performance of employees at the Islamic University Academic Makassar. The variable that has a significant impact on employee performance is the work discipline variable.

Abstract

Improving performance as an effort to deal with change is a necessity, so the use of digital marketing to improve organizational performance in developing the tourism industry in Indonesia in the industrial era 4.0, applied to the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, one of which is in the implementation of the Indonesian Enchantment Generation. The purpose of this study is to clarify the impact of human, social and intellectual capital from the use of digital marketing on the creative and improvise role of the Indonesian Enchantment Generation members. This research uses a survey approach. The study population was members of the tourism community, the Ministry of Tourism in Indonesia, selected as a sample in this study. Hypothetically, it is believed that human, social and organizational capital has a linear and positive relationship to the creative and innovative roles of community members, and this study will present the results of data processing of relationships between these variables, which are processed using regression techniques. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that human capital and intellectual capital have a positive and significant influence on the creative and innovative role of the Indonesian Enchantment Generation community members in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of clearance and port equipment on long container dwelling time both partially and simultaneously. The study utilized quantitative research method. Secondary data which used were monthly period data from January 2016 – March 2019. The data sources were from PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) Semarang Container Terminal and Tanjung Emas Custom and Excises. Regarding the use of period, the total data which used is thirty-nine months. The study explored with multiple linear regression statistical analysis. The t-Test result informed that clearance has significant effect on long container dwelling time. Meanwhile, the port equipment has no significant effect on long container dwelling time. Both clearance and port equipment has significant effect simultaneously. Clearance gives a dominant influence on container waiting time From the result, suggestions that can be taken are conducting the Focus Group Discussion of Indonesia National Single Window, add more equipment, avoid the breakdown equipment together with maintenance schedule, provide operator training, and benchmark to other port companies.

Abstract

One important contribution of Small-and-Medium Enterprises (or SMEs) to the economic development is the absorption of workers. Absorbing more workers and reducing unemployment are achievable only if SMEs have been success in managing the sustainability of their business. The success of SMEs’ business is determined by few variables, which are to be examined in this research. Therefore, research is aimed to conduct empirical test over the effect of entrepreneur characteristic and financial literacy on business performance. Type of data is primary, which is acquired through distribution of questionnaire to respondents. Research sample includes Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Tarakan City. Analysis technique is Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Result of research showed that personal characteristic, psychological characteristic, entrepreneur competency, and financial literacy are determinants to SMEs’ performance. Theoretical implication of this research is that research findings are supporting upper echelon theory and RBV theory when both theories explain factors that determine performance.

Abstract

The motivation factor is one of the most important elements for choosing tourism destination, this study aims to find out the motives of Sudanese tourists for choosing Bandung as tourism destination, this research uses a Qualitative approach to describe this topic as phenomenological study, the study showed that the factor of culture, religion, behavior, nature, the experiences of former tourists, shopping, price, have a very big role in motive Sudanese tourists to choose Bandung as a tourist destination. This study shows that the factors of excellence tourist destinations in Bandung have important indicators including the type and nature of tourist attractions; service quality, physical and social environment, cost, accessibility, and behavior of local residents to tourists. Tourist destinations in Bandung in the view of some Sudanese tourists have high accessibility, leading tourist attractions in tourist destinations easily accessible because of good road conditions. In the regulation of traffic and transportation is very chaotic because the traffic rate of vehicles is so crowded. Decent accommodation and a complete and clear guide/instruction. The lowest score is the attribute of the accessibility of tourist destinations in Bandung.

Abstract

The objective of this research to conduct an investigation of the impacts and relationships between family issues and supervisor support to develop work intention to remain within mediation variables are work satisfaction and work innovation. This research was used nonprobability sampling as a method, with 203 samples of employees on industrial manufacture company in Surakarta. Using Structural Equation Model (SEM) software application as a quantitative method to analyze the data. The result of this study indicates that there is a significant relationship between supervisor support to work satisfaction and work innovation, on the other hand, work satisfaction and work innovation significant relate into work intention to remain. Furthermore, this research also has resulted that work and family conflict does not significantly relate to work satisfaction, this result rejected the hypothesis. The conclusions for this study; First, consider the supervisor support importantly to develop and increase the level of work satisfaction and work intention to remain. Second, within work and family conflicts, the important variable that needs to be a concern was work conflict in case this indicates to decrease the level of work satisfaction. This result, indicate that compare with work innovation, the variable of work satisfaction was the most significant variable to impact the work intention to remain.
