Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain a description in the implementation of Polya phase in Problem Based Instruction model which can increase the students’ ability to solving the word problem about rectangular in VII SMP Negeri 7 Palu. Type research is of classroom action research. Plan of this research is based of  Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Based on the result of the research, learning to use Polya phase in Problem Based Instruction model which can increase the students’ ability to solving the word problem about rectangular in VII SMP Negeri 7 Palu, those are: 1) student’s orientation to the problem; 2) organize student’s to study; 3) guiding individual or group investigation; 4) developing and presenting the work; 5) analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process. Stage of guiding individual or group investigation Polya contains four phase, that is: a) understanding the problem, b) devising plan, c) carrying out the plan, and d) looking back.

Abstract

Abstract: Target of this research is to obtain;get deskripsi usage of appliance physic of geometry board with invention method guided able to improve result learn class student of VII SMP Negeri 19 Palu at wide items of rhombus and kite. Research type is research of class action. The research plan refer at model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Pursuant the result of research, that study using visual appliance of geometry board with invention method guided to make active student in study and also make student find by self wide formula of rhombus and kite, so that student can keep in view the formula.

Abstract

This research to get the description of profile problerm solving auditorial student of class X senior high school at items LESTV. This research used is qualitative method by using descriptive approach qualitative which is by a problem solving Polya phase. The result of research showed that the profile of student auditorial in solved the problem is tend to use thekinesthetic student characteristic and visual student characteristic.

Abstract

The purpose of this research aim to the describe of applying the guided discovery method in improving the understanding of student in class VII Junior High School 6 Palu of relation interior-angle trilateral and external-angle. This Research type is class action research. Research device relate at model of Kemmis and Mc Taggart executed with two cycle. Result of research indicate that the applying of guided discovery method can improve the understanding of student in class of VII Junior High School 6 Palu in items of relation of interior-angle and trilateral external-angle with the characteristic that is: (1) lesson items presented in the form of problem, (2) concept and formula taught to pass the activity in LKS, (3) teacher of personating fasilitator in course of study, (4) interaction in class have the character of the multi instruct.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the relationship between self regulation according to three its compiler aspect, that are metacognition, motivate and behavioral  with learn achievement of 2nd calculus. The samples in this research are students of mathematic’s program study year 2012nd that programming subject of 2nd calculus with 59 students. The Data obtained from metacognition’s scale, motivate’s scale, behavioral’s scale and documentation final assess of 2nd calculus lesson. The data were analyzed by analysis correlation. Result show that: (1) there is very significantly positive correlation between metacognition and learn achievement of 2nd calculus (r = 0,743; = 0,05); (2) there is very significantly positive correlation between motivate and learn achievement of 2nd calculus (r = 0,791; = 0,05); (3) there is very significantly positive correlation between behavioral and learn achievement of 2nd calculus (r = 0,895; = 0,05); (4) there is very significantly positive correlation between metacognition, motivate and behavioral by simultan with learn achievement of 2nd calculus (R = 0,778; = 0,05). The conclusion that, self regulation according to metacognition, motivate and behavioral owning significantly correlation with somebody learn achievement, specially for 2nd calculus subject.

Abstract

ABSTRCT: The purpose of this research is to obtain a description of the application of Polya steps that can improve student learning outcomes in solving word problems in the operation of two sets in class VII SMP Nasional Wani. This type of research is classroom action research with research design refers to the model of Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The results show that the learning using Polya steps to improve student learning outcomes in solving word problems set in class VII SMP National Wani, including guiding students based on four steps Polya, namely: (1) Understanding the problem, (2) Make a plan, (3) Implement the Plan, (4) Looking back or recheck.
