Abstract

Introducing high yield varieties to farmers by demonstration plots is one of efforts to accelerate the adoption of these varieties. The objective of study was to determine the preferences of farmers on the characteristics of rice high yield varieties on medium freshwater swampland. The study was carried out on farmer's land at Hamayung village, Daha Utara subdistrict, Hulu Sungai Selatan regency in 2017. There were 20 selected farmers as samples by simple random sampling. Collected data were farmer characteristics and rice morphology that obtained by interviews with farmers using questionnaires and farmer observations on plant growth of 10 rice high yield varieties in the field before harvesting. The obtained data were tabulated, grouped and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that (1) the most preferred performance of plants was plant age, panicle length, plant type, grain shape and plant height and (2) Mekongga, Inpari 30, Inpara 6, Inpari 9, Inpari 17, Ciherang and Inpara 8 were the preferred variety (from the most preferred order) varieties based on their agromorphology.

Abstract

The main problem faced by cage farmers in running their business is that some of them have enough capital to build a productive business, but they do not have the skills to do it. Some have no capital but have the skills to work as cage farmers. On this basis, they then collaborated. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The study was conducted in the Kapuas River, Tambelan Sampit Village, East Pontianak District, Pontianak City. The location selection was done purposively with the consideration that the area is a large area with tilapia fish farmers. The results showed that the cooperation carried out by capital owners with cage farmers in Tambelan Sampit village, the equipment used for the business came from owners of capital, while cage farmers as workers. In the collaboration, there is an unwritten agreement but it is well known in general that cage farmers do not share the risk if there is a loss, cage farmers also do not bear the costs of repairs if there is damage to the equipment used during the business. The amount of profit-sharing is determined based on mutual agreement, namely, profit divided by a 50% margin for 50% cage farmers for capital owners. Actions taken if one of the parties feels aggrieved include deciding the working relationship that can be carried out by the capital owner to the cage farmers in Tambelan Sampit already done based on or in accordance with the Islamic concept. Conformity is meant especially when compared with the principles of Muamalah taught by Islam.Keyword: Capital Owners, Cooperation, Farmers

The data used are production data and feed prices for the period January 2019 - December 2019 at the KR Farm farm, Kuripan Kidul, Kesugihan, Cilacap. The data analysis technique uses regression analysis. The results of this study found that there was an effect of the price of feed on egg production, KR Farm said to be feasible where it obtained an R / C value of 2.69, while the value of B / C = 1.69, BEP (price) Rp. 438.49 items, BEP (production) of 454,281.74 items, and ROI of 1,69%. Suggestions that can be put forward in this study include, preferably the KR Farm can maintain its business that has good and decent performance so far, if seen from the price of feed it will further maintain its egg production, can also increase the profits obtained by increasing the number of laying hens in the future so that the increase in turnover obtained is Rp. 1,783,592,221 per month, and reduce the amount of BEP that can be done by increasing the selling price of eggs or by reducing total costs. Keywords: Laying hens, Egg production, Feed prices, Cost and Benefit analysis, Break Even Point analysis
