Abstract

The childbearing pattern of baby’s mother towards to a baby is really important to the development and growth of baby it self : however there are still many mothers who provide childbearing pattern, namely the exclusive breast milk that’s less complete six months, giving stimulant food of the breast milk before six months and many babies still do not have their complete immunization accordance with their age. The objective of this research is to know the relationship between the childbearing pattern and the state of the baby’s nutrition.The research carried out in the Village of Wangon, Wangon District, Banyumas Regency in the year of 2007. The type of research is analytic with the approach of cross sectional study. The respondents amount to forty mothers at the twelve integrated health services center in the village of Wangon with inclusive criteria having baby’s in the age of six months up to twelve months. The data analysis used was the Fisher's exact test.The result of the research indicated that the sum of 70 percent of the babies got exclusive breast feeding, completed food of breast feeding accordance with their age. Based on the fisher exact research, it was gotten the score P = 0,021 < alpha (a = 0,05 ) that indicated that there was the relationship between the childbearing pattern and the nutrition status of the babies. The conclusion of the research is that the good childbearing pattern will  improve the baby’s nutrition  status.

Abstract

The following research was carried out from the facts that there are many mother who delivering their babies through sectio caesaria (SC) does not suckling their babies. There are some reason of this. They may not know the importance of giving their milk as early as possible; or they found difficulties to suckling their babies because of pain caused by SC surgery; or their nipple is not protruding. The objectives of the following research was to understand the relation between practice of giving milk to their babies (suckling) and the mother’s knowledge, pain of SC surgery and the problem of not protruded nipples.            The samples were from mother who delivers their babies through SC in Immanuel Hospital at Bandung, West Java. Fifty one of mother, refer to criteria sample who deliver their babies through SC from June 24 to July 21, 2004 in the hospital were used as the respondents. The results show that 52.9 % of the mother was less their knowledge on the importance of giving their milk to their babies as early as possible. 76.5 % of the mother felt moderate pain of SC delivery, and 51 % of the mother find that their nipples were not protruded. Statistical test using Chi square and Contingency Coefficient with the degree of trust of 95 % for three test variables found that only the feeling of surgery pain has positive and significant relation to the fact that the mother did not suckling their babies as early as possible.

Abstract

Catheter insertion represents very emergency situation and it is need medical teams who have good skill during performing insertion of catheter. If medical teams (nurses and doctor) do not have enough good skill it would make some medical complications and have uncomfortable situation to these patients. The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of catheter insertion by inserting lubricant into urethra and lubricating catheter toward pain level of patient at emergency room of Banyumas Public Hospital.This study used quasi experimental method with Post Test Only Control Group Design. The numbers of sample was 30 respondents and divided into two groups with 15 respondents as treatment groups and 15 respondents as control groups. Sample was taken by purposive sampling method. Pain level was measured by   visual analog scale pain assessmentThe result show that there is significant differences of pain level of patient who is  inserted  catheter by inserting lubricant  into  urethra and lubricating  catheter at ( t =6.32,  p= 0.00). High level of pain was experiencing for patient who is inserted catheter by lubricating catheter than inserting lubricant into urethra

Abstract

Appropriate body mechanics decrease the risk of injury musculoskeletal, case body movement, prevent fatigue and decrease the amount of energy that used. The purpose this research is to identify in-depth of the knowledge with in  worker tempe makers about usage of exercise therapy WIilliam and Kenzie method and its benefit in Pliken Kembaran  Banyumas. The research methodology used was qualitative research with phenomenology approach.Collecting data through in-depth interview with amount 5 participant. The result of research shows that knowledge with in worker tempe makers about exercise therapy very various, like understanding of exercise therapy, exercise therapy  method and benefit its, caused by life experience factor, age, salary and information. Improve knowledge about usage of exercise therapy method and its benefit for worker tempe makers through counseling.

Abstract

Student of Nursing Program, Faculty of  Medicine and Health Science Soedirman University use internet facility as source of information, communication and entertainment. Nursing student used facility internet both for made available in faculty and also outside faculty. Internet Library of Nursing Program has amounting to 20 computers, all of computers use the processor pentium 4. This facility subscribe to the journal of proquest and ebsco by providing about 600 journals. According to the survey research, the librarian said that there are approximately 40 – 60 students per day using internet. However it cannot be seen yet how its effectiveness is.The aim of this study is to describe the benefit of usage of internet facility to support learning teaching process. This Research is explorative descriptive qualitative. Subject of this  research is student nurses. Collecting data use in depth interview, focus group discussion and documentation study toward visit book of internet facility in Nursing Program Soedirman University Documentation study toward visit book of internet facility in Nursing Program library of Soedirman University on 1 May until 28 June 2007 show that almost the visitor in internet facility are nursing students. Web browser and e-mail are internet facility that are often accessed. Yahoo and Google is the most popular website around nursing student. Internet has role in accomplishment of learning tasks. Nevertheless internet less influence students to do the access faster and to collect task if they get tasks. The usage of internet its felt efficient on time because in looking information is getting faster. But less efficient on cost, because it must spent a lot cost. Generally nursing students feel satisfy to use the internet to look for the information because a lot of information can be got there. Most of students do access internet minim once a week. Although in the beginning they get difficulty to use the internet, they become easier than, because they often access  internet. Several difficulty access internet are: lack of knowledge of website address, keyword, language, items and science of internet. Ability that is owned to access internet is still less. Abstract

Nurse activity can be seen at nursing documentation result. It’s consist anamneses study, diagnose, planning, implementation and evaluation. Therefore nurse activity is one of quality service in hospital. This matter still need attention for nurse. The aim of this research was to know data motivate nurse to do nursing documentation in Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo Hospital of Purwokerto.Research study is survey with sectional cross. Research population is nurse take care of to lodge in RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo Hospital of Purwokerto. Technique of sampling with sampling purposive during 1 month. That consist minimize DIII nurse, one job experience year and ready to become responder, expected room head, installation head. Data taken to use containing question concerning factors influencing nurse motivation to do nursing documentation.            Intrinsic factor concerning job quality determine quality of service of treatment, nurse express to agree ( 91%). To increasing functional nurse assessed from ability of nurse in nurse documentation, nurse express to agree ( 60%). Nurse documentation can be consideration to receive reward point, most nurses express to agree ( 62%). Statement concerning documentation will be more difficult with computerization system, 73 % nurse express disagree. Thereby can be concluded that 73 % nurse express to agree with the existence of documentation being based on computerization. The research conclusion was nurse express to agree with nursing documentation use computer system.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the use and participant access behaviour on library services, perception on the services, collection, and its layout of the library unit in Jurusan Keperawatan, Poltekkes Surakarta. An assessment was conducted to 60 students as library members.The assessment was designed by using survey method with questionnaire as interview guidance. The result showed that information access of participants in using library services was low according to needed collection, reading activity, and library loan. Perception of participants on library collection and services was positive, especially on attitude of librarian, and library room setting and room comfortable. 25% of respondent require increasing the literature collection especially the literature in English.
