Abstract

Due to an ever-growing demand for spectrum and the fast-paced developmentof wireless applications, technologies such as cognitive radio enablethe efficient use of the spectrum. The objective of the present article is todesign an algorithm capable of choosing the best channel for data transmission. It uses quantitative methods that can modify behavior by changing qualityparameters in the channel. To achieve this task, a hybrid decision-makingalgorithm is designed that combinesanalytical hierarchy process(AHP)algorithms and adjusts the weights of each channel parameter, using a prioritytable. TheElimination Et Choix Tranduisant La Realité(ELECTRE)algorithm processes the information from each channel through a weightmatrix and then delivers the most favorable result for the transmitted data. Theresults reveal that the hybrid AHP-ELECTRE algorithm has a suitableperformance, which improves the throughput rate by 14% compared to similaralternatives.

Abstract

Lighting devices that apply diodes to create white light-emitting diodes (WLEDs) can achieve remarkable results in color quality, especially those containing quantum dots (QDs) and phosphor. The technique to create an appropriate package is providing spaces between the QDs and phosphor components which helps decrease the ratio of the reabsorption losses and keeps the QDs surface ligands constant. The research aims to perfect the constructing method of remote phosphor configuration containing quantum dots and phosphor materials that based on lighting properties and temperature feature of WLEDs. The infrared thermography is the tool to measure and analyze total emitted light and emission ranges of the device. This device is also used in temperature simulation and experimental verification. At the given mA of 60, the WLEDs structure with green QDs layer above the phosphor layer results in 996 lm luminous flux (LF), and Ra = 57 in color rendering ability. Meanwhile, luminous flux of WLEDs with red QDs-on-phosphor structure is 632, and Ra = 70. Furthermore, comparing with the green QDs-on-phosphor type, the red QDs-on-phosphor type emitted less LF. However, the red QDs-on-phosphor type can be the most effective package design to achieve color rendering ability.

Abstract

Information diffusion prediction is the study of the path of dissemination of news, information, or topics in a structured data such as a graph. Research in this area is focused on two goals, tracing the information diffusion path and finding the members that determine future the next path. The major problem of traditional approaches in this area is the use of simple probabilistic methods rather than intelligent methods. Recent years have seen growing interest in the use of machine learning algorithms in this field. Recently, deep learning, which is a branch of machine learning, has been increasingly used in the field of information diffusion prediction. This paper presents a machine learning method based on the graph neural network algorithm, which involves the selection of inactive vertices for activation based on the neighboring vertices that are active in a given scientific topic. Basically, in this method, information diffusion paths are predicted through the activation of inactive vertices byactive vertices. The method is tested on three scientific bibliography datasets: The Digital Bibliography and Library Project (DBLP), Pubmed, and Cora. The method attempts to answer the question that who will be the publisher of thenext article in a specific field of science. The comparison of the proposed method with other methods shows 10% and 5% improved precision in DBL Pand Pubmed datasets, respectively.

Abstract

Laboratory higher education institutions can generate a wide range of wastes, many of which have hazardous characteristics. The uncontrolled accumulation of such wastes also has a significant impact on the environment, safety and health of the academic community. This work formulates strategies that allow the development of integrated solutions to mitigate the latent risk for the community at Institución Universitaria Colegio Mayor de Antioquia,Colombia, and its surroundings. Therefore, it is considered to quantify the generation of waste in the units of analysis of different experimental spacesand evaluate the factors involved in the implementation of strategies for diagnosis, waste recovery, treatment, and final disposition. Based on the diagnosis and characterization of wastes, alternatives are evaluated that help to prevent and, in other cases, mitigate the impacts that they can cause, in order to consolidate a protocol for waste management. Hazardous waste disposition strategies, treatment mechanisms and minimization strategies, such as microchemistry, precipitation recycling, encapsulation and immobilization methods, evaporation as well as solvent recovery, have been implemented.

Abstract

With the go on the evolution of both computer and internet technology, videos, sounds, and scripts are used more and more often. It can be used in sundry techniques in ciphering and data concealing. The objective of this paper is leading to the suggestion of a new method of the combination between encryption and concealment of information so as to make it difficult to identify the transmitted datavia networks. This study has used two force secure (2FS) to encrypt the images, in other words, the SF is frequent twice on the image, to obtain powerful encryption then the concealing of the secret message is done inside the cryptography of the image has been performed using a secret key (cosine curve), and this stego-encryption image has been transformed forthe Internet of things storage in the database in IoT (data flow), when the user needs any information can be access inviaof internet of things (IoTs). The outcome of the proposed system is obtained tobe evaluated through different measures, such aspeak signal noise ratio (PSNR), mean square error (MSE), entropy, correlation coefficient, and histogram. The proposed system is good, efficient, fast, has high security, robustness, and transparency.

Abstract

In Bangladesh, mouza map is used to maintain the record of land measurement, which is a form of interpreting land ownership as well as estimation. Unfortunately, the automatic determination of land is still under development. As a result, land administrators have to encounter multiple hurdles while evaluating any area by employing local civil engineers. Thus, our country needs an automated land estimation system so that it can reduce time, cost and other difficulties which inspired us to develop a system that requires only mouza map image. Once image acquisition is done, we applied the curvature interpolation techniqueto zoom the map that helps to select any area by the Area Selection Method. The selected area is then segmented by employing the Canny edge detection method. Finally, the area is calculated from the segmented image and extracted features of the selected location. Compared to the field measurement, the system gave the accuracy of 89.8%. Hence, the land administrators will be able to provide the land information to the landowners promptly.

Abstract

The lighting device that employs diodes to create white light (WLEDs) with quantum dots (QDs) and phosphor layers is a promising lighting method that is increasingly used in many fields on account of the remarkable color expressing ability. The QDs film is usually placed apart from the phosphor layer according to the packaging configuration to prevent light loss due to backscattering as well as preserve the consistency of the ligands on the QDs surface. The article also conducted experiments to compare the lighting properties and thermal output of the two packaging orders of QDs and phosphor. The heat discharing ranges were simulated with thermography technology, moreover, other parameters such as light energy emission and PL spectra are acquired to evaluate the efficiency of the packaging order. The results from the practical experiment show that while under 10% wt., the luminous output (LO) of green QDs-on-phosphor structure reaches 1130 lm, higher than the red QDs-on-phosphor structure with 878 lm, and the color rendering value in the configuration with red QDs on phosphor is Ra = 74 are higher than Ra = 68 index of the green QDs-on-phosphor structure. As a result, the QDs-on-phosphor is determined as the better packaging configuration to choose to achieve an overall improvement in lighting efficiency, color rendering index

Abstract

A low cost miniaturized UWB microstrip antenna with dual notched band for X band and aeronautical radio navigation (ARN) is presented in this article. The antenna (19 16×"> 25 mm2) is composed of a half-circular ring as a radiation patch with an incomplete ground plane. The measured results indicate a fractional bandwidth of 112% for 16S11≤-"> 10 dB between 3 to 10.6 GHz. The dual notched band has been achieved by incorporating window shaped microstrip closed ring resonators at the rear surface of the designed structure. The first notch band is centered at 7.5 GHz (7 8.1 GHz) to reject interference with X-band downlink (7.25 to 7.74 GHz) and second band centered at 9.1 GHz (8.6 9.4 GHz) to reject interference with aeronautical radio navigation (ARN) (8.7 to 9.2 GHz). The simulated and measured return loss, radiation pattern, and gain shows good agreement which confirms the applicability of the designed antenna for the intended UWB applications.
