Abstract

AbstractPeople have to deal with problems on a daily basis. Problems mayappear both at the individual level and at the group level. Effective methods to deal with problems become essential. This paper questons ‘Does the number of people in a single group matter in effective problem solving? Previous studies have shown inconsistencies of results. This paper aims to find a cause-effect relationship between group size and the effectivity of problem solving wthin the group. There are two types of experimentalgroups with the total of 16 groups. The first eight consists of 4 people and the latter consists of 8 people within a group. One-tailed hypothesis stated that groups of 4 will perform better than groups of 8. Every group was given a same case to be solved. While the observed group dynamics differences existed, the results showed that the group of 4 is no better than the groups of 8 in terms of decision making effectivity. The results, will befurther discussed.Key word: Group Dynamic, Group Size, Decision Making Effectiveness

Abstract

AbstractThe key of the successful character education program are teachers, school employees and all the school environment because the focus of the character education is the school culture especially kindergarten children who are at the early stage of education. The accomplishment of character education at school is impeded the teachers who are have not understood on how to integrate it into school subjects. The purpose of this research isto test the training of My Plan My Success in improving kindergarten teacher’s ability toward the arrangement of the learning program for character education in young children. This research involved 36 teachers which were divided into experimental (18 teachers) and control (18 teachers) group, using experimental design: untreated control group design with dependent pretest and posttes samples using switching replication. The result of the data analysis that uses analysis data methode namely mixed anova shows there is different ability in the arrangement of learning program for character education in young children significantly (F=8,576; p<0,01). The training gives the effective contribution to experimental group as much as 61,7%. The ability of the,arrangement of learning program forcharacter education in young children in the experimental group is improving (MD=-6,824; p<0,01), after getting intervention. As well as the control group, after getting intervention, there ability is getting improve (MD=-5,765; p<0,00).Keywords : learning program for character education in young children, preschool teacher training.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed to understand psychological dynamics ofaggressive behaviors among the social organization’s membersinJogjakarta. This research usedqualitative approach. Respondents were the active members of the social organization (ormas) “X” in Jogjakarta. The result shows some factors that influence the aggressive behavior among the members, which are group influence, deindividuation, frustration, drug or alcoholic and physical environmental. The aggressive behaviors were done by the members of ormas “X”are included physical and verbalaggression. Physical aggressionswere done by member of ormas “X”such as destruction of public facilities, injuring another person and inter-group conflict. Verbal aggressionswere done by member of ormas “X”such as harassment, oppression and intimidation to the victims. The aggressive behaviors among the member of ormas X were done spontaneously. On the other hand, aggression done by ormas “X” to other organization or group also includes an invisibility aggression such as refusing to supportother organization, rejection from agreement, and boycott the other’s activities.Keywords: aggressive behavior, social organization (ormas).

Abstract

AbstractAdolescents who exhibit behaviors according to the prevailing norms and values, the teen said to have morality. While teens who show behavior contrary to the prevailing norms and values, then the teenager is said to commit immoral acts. The results of previous studies, concluded that, individuals need a controller in thinking, behaving , acting , namely religion or religiosity. Religiosity can affect every aspect of an individual’s life, bothpsychologically and physically. This study aims to examine the relationship between religiosity and morality in adolescents at Madrasah Aliyah. This type of research uses a quantitative approach to the type of correlational research. The population numbered 93 students of Madrasah Aliyah 2012- 2013 school year. The sampling technique using simple random technique,the sample in the study totaled 63 students. Analyzed using product moment. The results of this study showed a correlation coefficient ( r) of 0.775 with a significance ( p ) of 0.000, where p < 0.01. Based on data analysis, the conclusions drawn from this study is that there was a significant relationship between religiosity and morality teen Madrasah Aliyah Boarding Schoolsin the city of Palembang.Keywords : Morality, Religiosity.
