Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to find the motivation to work on male chef. This study was conducted in Jakarta. Respondents in the study were two men who worked in the culinary field in Jakarta. The research method that was used is a qualitative research method with the type of case study. Data was collected by semi- structured interviews and observations with the respondents. The results showed that the respondents have a high motivation to be a chef. The interest of the respondent to be chef there since childhood as a hobby cook and cook often see family members. Growing both more serious and learn more about the culinary world with the path in vocational education and hospitality majors diploma cookery. After graduation they worked as a chef at one of the food companies in Jakarta. Opportunities as chef considerable and substantial income to be one of the factors that influence both the desire to work as a chef.Keywords : work motivation and chef.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT This study aims is to examine the effectiveness of Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) for reducing college smoking behavior. Subjects in this study were students in one of universities in Yogyakarta. The subjects of the study were 22 people consisting of 10 people in Experimental Group and 12 people of Control Group. Criteria for the subject is currently still smoking, willing to follow SEFT  and willingness to fill out the inform consent and not being in therapy or other programs related to smoking. Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique was used as intervention model. This research used analysis Mann-Whitney Test and Wicolxon Test with a pretest post test control group design. The results of this study showed that there is a significant reduction of students’ smoking behavior that are given SEFT. The conclusion of this study is SEFT  intervention can decrease students’ smoking behavior.Keywords: college, smoking behavior, spiritual emotional freedom technique (SEFT).

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the relationship between interpersonal communication and career development with job satisfaction. Subjects were all employees of Malioboro Inn Hotel Yogyakarta. This study used quantitative methods. Data collection tool that was used is the Interpersonal Communication Scale, Scale of Career Development and Job Satisfaction Scale. The statistical analysis that was used is multiple regression analysis. The overall computational research data using SPSS 18.0 for windows. The analysis by using multiple regression found significant relationship between interpersonal communication and career development with job satisfaction (R = 0.618, p = 0.000). The results of the analysis of product moment between interpersonal communication with job satisfaction showed r = 0.513 with a significance level (p) = 0.001 (p <0.01) and between career development with job satisfaction showed r = 0.415 with a significance level of 0.007 (p <0.01 ). Contribution of interpersonal communication on job satisfaction was 23.76%, while the effective contribution of career development to job satisfaction was 14.44%, and the effective contribution of interpersonal communication and career development on job satisfaction was 38.2%. There was a significant relationship between interpersonal communication and career development with job satisfaction. The majority of research subjects have job satisfaction, communication, interpersonal and career development in the medium category.Keywords: job satisfaction, interpersonalcommunication, career development.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku asertif pada siswa MAN Wonokromo Bantul Yogyakarta. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa MAN berusia antara 15 sampai 17 tahun. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan skala, yaitu Skala Konsep Diri dan Skala Perilaku Asertif. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dibuat tabulasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment Pearson. Komputasi data dengan menggunakan SPSS 16,00 for windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data di atas menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku asertif. Diperoleh koefisien korelasi (r) 0,343 antara kedua variabel = 0,000 (p<0,01) yang menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan positif yang sangat signifikan antara konsep diri dengan perilaku asertif. Sedangkan sumbangan efektif sebesar 11,8% dan sisanya 88,2% faktor lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku asertif. Semakin tinggi konsep diri maka semakin tinggi perilaku asertif, dan sebaliknya semakin rendah konsep diri maka semakin rendah perilaku asertif.Kata kunci: konsep diri, perilaku asertif.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the relationship between Body Image and Self- acceptance of student. The subject of this research is Aceh student who lives in Dormitory at Yogyakarta. Data collection tools used in this research is scale of Body Image and Self-acceptance. Data analysis method using correlation of Pearson Product Moment The result showed that significant that there is a positive relationship between body image and self-acceptance at a student dormitory located in Yogyakarta. The relationship indicated by a correlation coefficient ( r ) = 0,318, ( = 0,013 p ). The contribution of effective body image by the reception is worth 10,11 %. Conclusion in this research is a significant positive relationship between a body image and self-acceptance of Aceh students who lives in Jogjakarta. These results informed that higher body image makes high self-acceptance. Then, the lower body image makes low self-acceptance.Keywords: body image, self-acceptance

Abstract

ABSTRACTEmployment problems faced by individuals today is more complex. One is the Termination of Employment (FLE) is something that is greatly feared by active employees in work that requires an ability to face and overcome, one of which is the resilience. The purpose of this study was to determine how the resilience of employees who experienced layoffs (layoffs). This study used a qualitative approach with case study method. The method of data collection used interviews and observations technique with a sampling of employees who have terminated employment with the age of 30-40 years.The results showed that individuals in the face of layoffs certainly different, there are individuals who are able to bounce back from the previous state but is less effective that even people who are able to get up and recover from negative situations effectively.Keywords: employee layoffs, the factors that affect resilience, the resilience
