Abstract

The National Goal set forth in the Preamble of the 1945 Constitution of the State of the Republic of Indonesia is to promote the common welfare, to educate the life of the nation, and to participate in the implementation of world order based on eternal peace and social justice. To realize these national goals, education is a crucial factor. The world of education consists of (maha) students, facilities and infrastructure, and of course educators (teachers). With regard to several main points about national education, one of the important competencies possessed by teachers is the ability to write scientific articles. The ability to write scientific articles for teachers has at least two practical benefits; first, the ability to write scientific articles can support the professionalism of teachers as individuals and also as well as educators. Second, the ability to write scientific articles also provide benefits for learners because a teacher who is skilled in scientific writing indicates that the teacher has a high degree of innovation and creativity and can support the success of teaching and learning activities. Some of the above demands leave many contradictions in practice in the school environment, especially junior high school teachers in Singorojo District of Kendal. Many educators have not been able to write scientific (scientific articles) even though they often encounter problems in everyday teaching. Thus, the low ability to write scientific articles for teachers is not based on the absence of material (problems) but caused by lack of training for them. Based on the problem, it is a necessity to conduct training of scientific article writing for teachers and integrate it with some advanced techniques, in this training choose Focus Group Discussion (FGD) technique. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) is a systematic effort in collecting data and information.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of scout extracurricular activities in building the character and attitude of student nationalism in SMP Negeri 4 Singorojo Kendal Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Excavation of research data using interview method, participant observation and document study. The research results can be obtained data as follows; first, the organizational structure of the scout extracurricular involves several parties, among others: the principal as kamabigus, the guiding teacher as the front cluster coach, the front clerk assistant, the scout board. second, the scout extracurricular activities are carried out with activity programs such as: , nature roaming and ribbon maps, outbound, inauguration of board members, social services, caring scouts. Third, scout extracurricular activities have an effect on the character formation and attitude of the students because the scouts not only provide theoretical knowledge but can apply in everyday life. Fourth, the effort to develop extracurricular scout activities such as scout leader makes innovative activities by packing activities into interesting activities, coordination with kwartir branches and local kwartir as well as involving students in race and jamboree activities. Fifth, obstacles in the implementation of scout extracurricular program because of several factors include: lack of interest and motivation of students, the schedule of activities that collide between extracurricular activities to help the work of parents at home, limited infrastructure facilities resources owned, lack of support and parental participation. Sixth, efforts are made to overcome obstacles are done by: scout and teacher scouts trying to build interest and motivation of students by approaching, nurturing creativity and independence of students to be able to meet their own needs by utilizing existing resources without spending a lot, intensive to parents and related viewers.

Abstract

Salah satu misi Majelis Lingkungan Hidup Muhammadiyah adalah mengembangkan pendidikan lingkungan hidup guna membangun kesadaran dan perilaku ramah lingkungan di seluruh tingkatan dan lini organisasi sehingga Muhammadiyah menjadi pioner dalam gerakan lingkungan. Tim pengabdian UNNES bekerjasama dengan Majelis Lingkungan Hidup Pimpinan Muhammadiyah Kota Semarang melakukan kegiatan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan karakter cinta lingkungan di sekolah Muhammadiyah Kota Semarang melalui sosialisasi dan pendampingan kiat-kiat dan strategi menuju sekolah hijau. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengoptimalkan peran sekolah Muhammadiyah dalam penyelamatan lingkungan menuju sekolah hijau melalui sosialisasi dan pendampingan. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan persiapan anggotan tim, melakukan koordinasi dengan pihak Majelis Lingkungan Hidup PP Muhammadiyah Kota Semarang dan Dikdasmen Muhammadiyah Kota Semarang, perijinan. Disepakati sekolah yang dilibatkan adalah SD 15, SMP 9, SMA 2, dan SMK 2. Dalam pelaksanaan workshop sebagai narasumber adalah tim pengabdian UNNES, dari Majelis LH PP Muhhamadiyah Bapak Ir. Agus Hadiarto, MT, dan dari Dinas Pendidikan Kebudayaan Propinsi Jateng Drs. Sentot Widodo, M.Si. Pada hari pertama workshop diisi materi mengenai Materi Umum Lingkungan Hidup dan kiat-kiat menjadi sekolah hijau, hari kedua diisi materi Bagaimana menyiapkan Sekolah Adiwiyata, dan visitasi langsung ke SD Muhammadiyah Pedurungan sebagai sekolah percontohan, untuk memberikan saran dan masukkan apabila akan mengajukan diri menjadi sekolah Adiwiyata. SD Muhammadiyah sudah menyatakan diri untuk siap menjadi percontohan sekolah hijau dan sudah mulai berbenah. Disamping itu Majelis Lingkungan Hidup dan Drs. Sentot Widodo, MT yang berpengalaman sebagai juri Adiwiyata tingkat Propinsi juga siap untuk melakukan pendampingan. Dari kegiatan ini beberapa sekolah Muhammadiyah sangat antusias untuk mempersiapkan sekolahnya, hal ini diitunjukkan dari pertanyaan yang muncul dan diskusi dalam kegiatan tersebut.

Abstract

Semarang State University as a conservation university in Indonesia is required to have a role in the environment around the campus and also in the wider environment that is throughout Indonesia. Academicians Semarang State University where in it is the teacher (lecturer), education personnel, and others should be hand in hand to realize the ideals of the luhur. Each individual can play a role in this conservation field in accordance with its capacity and capability. With this simultaneous and simultaneous movement, it is expected that Semarang State University really becomes a superior university in playing its role in society, nation and state. The target in this service is the manager of Curug Glawe natural tourism in Cening and Bukit Selo Arjuno village in Kedungboto Village using approach developed through ecotourism concept. The method to be applied in this training is the SWOT method. The selection of targeted methods and objects is based on facts resulting from initial observation that this nature tourism has good strength and attractiveness and prospective (strength), weakness in the management and supervision (weaknesses), the opportunity to be developed and conceptualized well (opportunities ) and there are some serious threats to sustainability (threats). Based on the facts, the ecotourism training activities in the management of nature tourism Curug Glawe and the management of nature tourism of Selo Arjuno hill by the devotees need a proper method to find the solution faced by the object of devotion, that is by applying the SWOT method (strength, weaknesses , opportunities, and threats). Selection of this method is also based on the needs and objectives for the conservation values as the basis of ecotourism can be realized.

Abstract

The goal of this research was to find out the condition of the springs, the role of the society in the springs conservation, values of local wisdom, as well as the inheritance of the values of local wisdom in the springs conservation. Design in this research used qualitative research. Technique of collecting data used interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used descriptive qualitative. Data validity techniques used were triangulation. Results of this research showed that water springs condition was not affected by season. The role of the society and visitors in the form of behavior could be seen from the effort of the society to use water directly included the preservation and protection of water springs could be seen from behavior that did not damage the environment. However, the utilization was not done sustainably. The role of the society could not be separated with the local wisdom from religius system of Java society. Elements inherited in the form of value implicit in the norm, the adage “Sabeja-bejane wong kang lali, isih beja wong kang eling lan waspada”, dawuhan ceremonial customs, and the legend of Senjoyo spring. The transmission of local wisdom happend through the process of socialization and enculturation in informal education.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi mata air, peran masyarakat dan pengunjung dalam melestarikan dan melakukan konservasi mata air, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal serta pelestarian nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam menjaga mata air atau konservasi mata air. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi mata air tidak dipengaruhi oleh musim. Peran masyarakat dan pengunjung berupa prilaku terlihat dari upaya masyarakat memanfaatkan air secara langsung meliputi pengawetan dan perlindungan mata air terlihat dari prilaku yang tidak merusak lingkungan. Namun, pemanfaatan tidak dilakukan secara lestari. Peran masyarakat tidak dapat dipisahkan dari sistem religi masyarakat Jawa.Unsur yang diwariskan berupa nilai yang tersirat dalam norma, pepatah “sabeja-bejane wong kang lali, isih beja wong kang eling lan waspada”, adat istiadat upacara dawuhan, serta legenda Sendang Senjoyo. Pewarisan kearifan lokal terjadi melalui proses sosialisas dan enkulturasi pada pendidikan informal.

Abstract

This study would analyze students’ learning outcomes and attitudes on psychotropic and addictive substances abuse after learning the nervous system concept with bio edutainment strategy by roleplaying. This was a pre-experimental study with one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was all students of class XI of Sciences program in SMA Negeri 7 Semarang. Two classes as the sample which was defined by purposive sampling. The independent variable was bio edutainment strategy with role-playing. The dependent variables were students’ learning outcomes and attitudes. The controls variables included teacher, lesson hours, curriculum, and face-to-face time. Learning outcomes were analyzed quantitatively by N-gain. Students’ attitudes were analyzed descriptively. The learning outcomes had met the classroom learning mastery (86.5%). The means of N-gain in both classes were in moderate criteria (0.44 and 0.40). Student attitudes toward psychotropic and addictive substances abuse were in tremendous criteria (92% and 86%). Students’ learning outcomes were strongly correlated with their attitudes toward psychotropic and addictive substances abuse (0.705 and 0.610). This study concluded that bio edutainment strategy with roleplaying gave a positive effect on students’ learning outcomes and attitudes and a positive relationship between high school students’ learning outcomes and their attitudes on psychotropic and addictive substances abuse.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil belajar dan sikap terhadap penyalahgunaan psikotropika dan zat adiktif pada siswa setelah pembelajaran system saraf dengan strategi bioedutainment dengan role playing. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan pre-eksperimental design dengan one group pretest-posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 7 Semarang dengan dua kelas sebagai sampel yang ditentukan secara purposive sampling. Variabel bebas berupa strategi bioedutainment dengan role playing. Variabel terikat berupa hasil belajar, dan sikap. Variabel kontrol berupa guru, jam pelajaran, kurikulum, dan waktu tatap muka. Hasil belajar dianalisis dengan N-gain dan kuantitatif. Sikap dianalisis secara deskriptif persentase. Hasil belajar mencapai ketuntasan klasikal (86,5%). Rata- rata N-gain siswa pada kedua kelas termasuk kriteria sedang (0,44 dan 0,40). Sikap siswa terhadap penyalahgunaan psikotropika dan zat adiktif menunjukkan kriteria sangat tinggi (92% dan 86%). Hasil belajar dengan sikap terhadap penyalahgunaan psikotropika dan zat adiktif memiliki korelasi kuat (0,705 dan 0,610). Simpulan strategi bioedutainment dengan role playing berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar dan sikap siswa serta terdapat hubungan yang positif antara hasil belajar dengan sikap siswa terhadap penyalahgunaan psikotropika dan zat adiktif pada siswa SMA.
