Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsi proses pembelajaran, peningkatan keterampilan membaca intensif menemukan gagasan utama, dan perubahan perilaku peserta didik kelas VII C SMP Negeri 1 Bonang Demak. Penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus. Pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen tes, observasi, jurnal, wawancara, dan dokumentasi foto. Proses pembelajaran membaca intensif untuk menemukan gagasan utama dengan model CIRC melalui teknik kepala bernomor berlangsung lancar, kondusif, dan memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai cara membaca intensif untuk menemukan gagasan utama sebuah bacaan. Pada tes siklus I  diperoleh nilai rata-rata 62,88 termasuk kategori cukup dan siklus II diperoleh rata-rata 83,55 atau termasuk kategori baik atau mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20,67 atau 32,87%. Perilaku peserta didik kelas VII C SMP Negeri 1 Bonang Demak mengalami perubahan ke arah positif. Peserta didik antusias, aktif,  dan bersungguh-sungguh dalam pembelajaran membaca intensif untuk menemukan gagasan utama.The objective of this research is to describe the learning process, the improvement and behavioral changes of students class VII C SMP Negeri 1 Bonang Demak about finding the main idea of the text by students of class VII C SMP Negeri 1 Bonang Demak. This research used action research procedure with two cycles. The method were used instrumental test, observation, journal, interview, and documentation picture. Learning Process of  intensive reading to find the main idea using cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) model through structured numbering head technique well done, condusif and gave deep understanding about the way of intensive reading to find the main idea of the text. From the first cycle the average value was 62,88 clasified average categoryand second cycle gained an average value of 83,55 clasified in goal category An increased 20,67 or 32,87%. The behavior of the students class VII C SMP Negeri 1 Bonang changing for the positive, enthuastic learners, active, and earnest in teaching intensive reading to find the main idea.
