Abstract

        This research analyzes capital market’ reaction to announcements of limited reshuffle of Indonesian Cabinet (Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu) in Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX). The announcements is full of political events, that is information of joining Boediono in the cabinet (duet with Sri Mulyani Indrawati), which is being predicted to be able to solve nation’s economic problems today. This research hypothesizes that the capital market reacts positively to the announcements of limited reshuffle of Indonesian Cabinet (Kabinet Indonesia Bersatu).         A sample of 45 firms, which are included in LQ 45 category, are all fulfilling liquidity and market capitalization criteria. Research period consists of estimation period and event period, from September 30th, 2005 until December 19th, 2005. An event study technique is employed to analyze capital market’ reaction to announcements of limited reshuffle.         The study documented that there is a significant positive abnormal return (used as a proxy of  capital market’ reaction) surrounding the announcement date, which is before and after the announcements of limited reshuffle. The positive capital market’ reaction deal with signaling theory, that is the announcements of limited reshuffle tend to be articulated as a  signal of belief’ shareholders to SBY – JK performance (which is representated by the new economic team, between Boediono, as a Economic Coordinator Minister and Sri Mulyani Indrawati, as a Financial Minister) today and the future.Key words: abnormal return, limited reshuffle announcement, reaksi pasar modal

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of asymmetric information to the effectiveness of agency problem-reduction mechanisms in Indonesian listing companies. Using samples of manufacturing companies in Jakarta Stock Exchange from 2001-2004, this research find out that asymmetric do have influence the effectiveness of dividend mechanism in reducing agency problem. The dividend mechanism effectives in reducing agency problem only if the level of asymmetric information is high. This research also find out that the debt mechanism and the independent board of direction mechanism do not effective in reducing agency problem whether the level of asymmetric information high or low. Abstract

        This study is concerned with: (1) the societies interest to Islamic banking in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta; (2) the area of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta that have still possibilities to developed Islamic banking. The research methods was conducted for data collecting with questionary and interview. The data analysis was conducted with (1) descriptive analysis by the frequency distribution, and. (2) the factor analysis. The factor analysis with Binary Logistic Regression technique was conducted for analysis the factors that influence societies interest to Islamic banking.         The result of research view: (1) the society interest to Islamic banking influenced by eight factors, that are: (a) Religiousity; (b) knowledge of existing Islamic banking; (c) Opinion about bank interest; (d) degree of education; (e) kind of job; (f) income level (about: 500.001 – 1000.000); (g) Preferency to Islamic banking, and (h) knowledge about product and Islamic banking mechanism. (2) the area have high rating for Islamic banking development is Sleman District. In other word, the Sleman district has potensial area for Islamic banking in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta.Keywords: Minat, Wilayah Potensial, Riba, Bunga Bank

Abstract

This research was intended to investigate about the Working Productivities, especially of employees at the operational and supporting functions. The low working productivites at PT. Pertamina is caused by the low EQ of the Employees. Based on the research hypothesis, using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, F test dan t test from the multiple linear regression and correlation, it was concluded that: a) The EQ of the employees was relatively low. b) The working productivity was also low. c) the effect of EQ on the working productivity was indicated by R2 = 0.962 with F = 535.204 and significance level of 0.000. d) Based on the partial regression coefficient of the EQ dimension, the significance influence was found. Meanwhile social skill was the most (dominant) influential variable on the working productivity.Keywords: Emotional Quotient and Working Productiviies.

Abstract

        Business model is relatively a new term that emerged in 1990s together with the mushroom of e-business. Conceptually business model is therefore still in infancy. Despite this fact however it does matter (Magretta, 2002). Business model which is conceived as the logic of doing business, a construct, a mental model or a business paradigm, is considered a guide on how to do every day’s business.        Based on the above mentioned understanding, this paper based on action research study, discusses the implemention of the concept of business model on change management using the case of Universitas Islam swasta. The result indicates that changing business model will inevitably change the organizational architecture and governance.Keywords: business model, organizational architecture and governance.

Abstract

In a company of go public is often happened the conflict between of stockholder with the manager, where manager act as the function of management and stockholder as function of is ownership. The conflict causes go together the importance difference between manager with the stockholder. Stockholder of course wish the manager work with an eye to maximize the stockholder prosperity. on the contrary, company manager might possibly act do not to maximize the stockholder prosperity but maximizing themselves prosperity. This research test the simultan relation between ownership of manajerial, risk, with the debt and dividen. Sample research as much 69 company, taken with the method of purposive sampling that is only company owning the ownership of incoming manajerial as sampel. To reach the wanted target, this research use the metode two stage least square. Result of research show the existence of consistent relation usher its variable that is negative relation among ownership of manajerial with the risk, debt. Positive relation between ownership of manajerial by dividen, negative relation among risk with the debt and dividen, and also negative relation among dividen with the debt.Keywords: simultant relation, ownership of manajerial, risk, policy of debt and policy of dividend of agency problem
