Abstract

A set of rules about gratification is a novelty within society and is perceived to collide with the cultural of giving in the Islamic society in Indonesia. This study is aimed to explore the meaning of gratification from the positive perspective of law in Indonesia, and the boundaries of gratification, which is interdicted by the laws. This study used the nor- mative method which analyzes the positive law in Indonesia regulating the gratification. The result of this study shows that gratification in the positive law perspective has a wide meaning including each tribute for civil employee or governance. According to Indonesia laws, gratification could be either positive or negative. Gratification which is allowed by the laws is a gift with a pure tension of the giver to the civil employee or governance without expecting to achieve anything. In contrary, grati- fication which is not allowed by the laws is a gift for the civil employee or governance because of the position in that employment and unrelated with the duty or order.

Abstract

The Minangs are the world's largest matrilineal society; properties such as land and houses are inherited through female lineage. Some scholars argue that this might have caused the diaspora(Minangkabau, "merantau") of Minangkabau males throughout the Maritime Southeast Asia to become scholars or to seek fortune as merchants. However, the native Minangkabaus agreed that this matrilineal culture is indeed the result of (not the reason for) diaspora. With their men travelling out of the country for unspecified time (with possibility of some of them not returning home), it is only logical to hand the land and property to those who do not have to leave it: The women. This also ensures the women's (meaning: mothers of the future generations') welfare and hence ensuring their offsprings welfare. Besides, native MinangKabaus argue that "Men can live anywhere and hence they do not need a house like women do".

Abstract

Bearing in mind that Isteshab principle is ranked as established principles and in proportion to other threesome principles, it locates at the top; therefore obviously in lieu of other operation principles, it acts like an indication and it has priority in opposition with acquittal principle, caution and authority with all kinds and fundamentalists have consensus in this case, but whatever in this problem makes difference and contention is the primacy quality of Isteshab principle which is perceptible in principle sources of some theories. Some fundamentalists considered primacy from respect of entrance; some from respect of government and some by separation of intellectual and quoted principles believing in government and entrance and some of them believing in to allocation. Therefore our try in this article is the examination of the primacy quality of Isteshab principle from fundamentalists’ viewpoint and adaption with sufficiency processor idea and sharehin. The result of essay is that apparently primacy aspect of Isteshab in proportion to other practical principles whether intellectual or religiously correct is simply from respect of entrance; because by Isteshab principle, threesome principles subject deliberately is no longer contemplated.

This study takes the form of literature studies (library research), The findings of the study indicate: (1) knowing Allah as the primary basis of noble character education, to know Allah is the obligation of every human being, as mentioned in al-Qur’an and al-Sunnah, because by knowing Allah then people will know themselves. According to al-Ghazali, a person would not be able to achieve a degree of knowing Allah before he knows himself. Thus, the ability of human to achieve the degree of knowing Allah depends on his ability to know himself. (2) Methods for the integration of noble character in coaching students. First, the coaching. Through the coaching of this character it can be seen how the Islamic attention to the development of the soul should take precedence over physical development, because in this good soul will be born good deeds that in the next step will facilitate to produce goodness and happiness to all human life, both physically and spiritually. Second, the habituation. Al-Ghazali explains that habituation method is performed by repeating the experience in doing something that leaves good impressions in the soul. Third, exemplary. Exemplary method proposed by al-Ghazali is a series of conformity with the concept of educational methods applied by other experts, both in the past and present, and this exemplary method is always relevant and actual to date as well as highly relevant to the method of Islamic education. (3) the function of knowing God in the formation of a noble character. As the science of the most high and noble rank in comparison with the knowledge that exist in this world, then this knowing Allah presumably can be a principal focus and commitment that must be understood and considered by every human being, the results will be delivered to the happiness of man, salvation, tranquility and peace of body and soul, as well as the delights and pleasures of worship to Allah. (4) The purpose of the increase of knowing Allah in the development of noble character is as a director that will direct the orientation of the life of a Muslim.

Abstract

One of the key concepts that lie in almost every religion, as asserted in each holy text, is eschatological doctrine. The apocalyptic belief in the last day has existed throughout the history of civilizations with various expressions. Eschatological narrative in the holy texts ought to be deemed as a historical text that is revealed within its space and time. Accordingly, it is a historizing thing, which contains plenty of stories besides its sacred messages. This sense of historical awareness is pointed out for example by the eschatological narratives in the Qur'an which strongly influenced by socio-religious circumstances and topographical conditions in the Arabian Peninsula at the time of revelation, as the Bible that has cased up its eschatological narratives based on a certain historical event: the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD by Roman soldiers. The central purpose of this paper is to explore the connection and influence of certain historical moments on the style and construction of both, the Qur'an and the Bible eschatological narratives, through a simple hermeneutical analysis.
