Abstract

Newton method is a famous method for solving non linear  equations numerically. This method is also suitable for solving systems of non linear equations.  However, this method has a limitation because it requires the derivative of the non linear function which constructing the systems. The need of derivation some times lead to a problem. Secton method is a combination of Newton method and Secant method. Secton method omit the need of derivation of function. The performance of Secton method is almost same with Newton method. In this paper, Secton method is used to solve a non linear systems of equation. The experiments showed that  Secton method could work well for solving non linear systems of equations.

Abstract

The quantity, quality and continueity guarantee of raw material supply is a one of define factor for the succesfull of production process. To solve the problems of raw material supply on tapioca industry, it is important to develop a correct raw material supply management. That management must be accurate on quantity, quality, continuity and price. One of the developed management is supply chain managementThe purpose of this paper is to make a cassava raw material supply chain on 100 ton product/day on tapioca industry in an affort to manage a continues and stable of raw material supply. The methods use in this research are to assessment of relatedness between tapioca industry raw material supply chain management with related elements and make conceptual design, pre design and detailed design of tapioca industry raw material supply chain. The result show that depending elements to make a tapioca industry supply chain design system are the information of raw material stock both from cassava farmer or suppliers, the supply information from the patner and buffer stock , the price of raw material, tranportation. Buffer and partnership pattern are two kinds of the best methods to guarantee the fulfill requirement of tapioca industry raw material. Raw material tranportation, storehouse  and refraction are important components on the supply chain management.Based on 100 ton tapioca/day production capacity, convertion of raw material ( cassava) to tapioca product is 5 :1, operation time is 250 days/year, it is need 125.000 ton/year raw material ( cassava ). The requirement suplly of raw material are obtained from cassava farmer 15.000 ton, partner 30.000 ton, buffer 40.000 ton and agent 40.000 ton.

Abstract

The mechanism of mudflow, which is a type of mass movement, is different from that of landslide. A landslide has a discrete failure surface, whereas a mudflow has flow characteristics. Hence, the conventional approach of explaining the characteristics of landslide is not applicable in mudflow. The adaptation of rheological models, such as the Bingham and Herschel–Bulkley models, is required to explain the characteristics of mudflow. Qualitative classifications of mudflow based on water content are also available. The mass movement of mudflow is initiated when the water content of the mudflow is equal to or higher than its liquid limit. Thus, the mass movement of mudflow occurs when the mud is in a viscous liquid state. However, up to now, a detailed explanation on how mudflow is initiated by using a rheological approach is nonexistent. In this study, a flow box test is developed to determine the rheological parameters of mud, including yield stress and viscosity. This test is established to overcome the lack of conventional viscometers, which can only measure the rheological properties of mud in a viscous liquid state. The flow box test utilized the Bingham model and a couple of trap door mechanisms. Results are then interpreted using a method similar to the Herschel–Bulkley model. The flow box test provides reliable results for both plastic and viscous liquid states. Results show that the mudflow characteristics can be explained based on the changes in viscosity. Sudden changes in viscosity occur when the mud reaches its liquid limit, implying that mudflow is possibly triggered when the soil water content of the mud is equal to its liquid limit. The results of this study provide a detailed explanation of mudflow initiation.

Abstract

We often use the modem but often also see the modem gets hot, because there is also an increase in the process that uses the entire capacity of the modem. Modem is a device used to convert from analog signals to digital signals. Modem that works in full and will also experience the maximum heat conditions.      The modem overheats due to an increase in the connection often dropped out suddenly. This is so the problems that often occur in the modem user. Modem is in meticulous type of ADSL technology. ADSL Modem type is very much in use by home users. Experience using this modem, the modem at the beginning of stable then increase the heat, then drop the connection. The approach we use is the method of approach to the bridge network routers, where the router that will perform the function dial and modem just as a conductor only. The router is a device that is used to skip the lines and network maps.

Abstract

Pedestrians are part of the transportation system is no less important than other modes of transportation. Although the act of walking legs look very simple, but it plays an important role in the transport system, because if the impaired pedestrians will affect other parts of the transportation system. Objective analysis of the pedestrians along the road Kartini is to determine the characteristics of pedestrians; seek equality relationship between walking speed, as well as determine the appropriate crossing facilities with pedestrian characteristics. This study analyzes the suitability and effectiveness of the use of level crossings in terms of facilities: traffic volume (V), Volume waders (P), Degree of Saturation (DS), the average traffic Speed, Time Headway, the pass percentage of pedestrian crossing facilities, the comparison between the speed of the vehicle with pedestrian volumes and pedestrian behavior analysis. The suitability of the facility Kartini street crossings diruas calculated based PV2, DS, average Speed, Time Headwaysehingga obtained values: P = 78 people / hour, SD = 0.60, mean velocity = 40.3488 km / h, and a small headwaykendaraan time (LV) vehicles and motorcycles (MC) has a value of time headway of <2.5 seconds which describes the condition of high density, so that at the study site at the Kartini Bandar Lampung according to the requirements and are pelican crossings in accordance with the protector. Of regression and correlation analysis shows the location of Bandar Lampung Kartini road traffic volume did not affect the percentage of pedestrian road as seen from R2 = 0.002, which means the relationship between the volume of pedestrian traffic with only 0.2% indicating a relationship classified as very low. Pelican crossing facilities with protective shield recommended to use the island has given the signal light Kartini Bandar Lampung is a one way street with four lanes.
