Abstract

Article discussed a speaker identification system. Which was a part of speaker recognition. The system identified asubject based on the voice from a group of pattern had been saved before. This system used a wavelet discrete transformationas a feature extraction method and an artificial neural network of back-propagation as a classification method. The voiceinput was processed by the wavelet discrete transformation in order to obtain signal coefficient of low frequency as adecomposition result which kept voice characteristic of everyone. The coefficient then was classified artificial neural networkof back-propagation. A system trial was conducted by collecting voice samples directly by using 225 microphones in nonsoundproof rooms; contained of 15 subjects (persons) and each of them had 15 voice samples. The 10 samples were used as atraining voice and 5 others as a testing voice. Identification accuracy rate reached 84 percent. The testing was also done onthe subjects who pronounced same words. It can be concluded that, the similar selection of words by different subjects has noinfluence on the accuracy rate produced by system.Keywords: speaker identification, wavelet discrete transformation, artificial neural network, back-propagation.

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to analyze and design an appropriate system to help PT. Zero CelciusIndonesia in offering service to their customers, in order to keep a good relationship and communication,and also to obtain information as needed. Research methods used were library study, customers’ needsanalysis, designing and creating of e-CRM system, programming, and system testing as suggested. Result gotfrom the survey to company was that the current CRM system was only run by limited company staffs.Whereas the clients owned by company were considered quite many. Therefore, a CRM based on web or alsoknown as e-CRM was being created. So, the conclusion is that because of e-CRM, a better service to thecustomers can be given more focus and a relationship between company and customers can be closer; notonly as market subjects, but as colleagues.

Abstract

PT Cahaya Buana Furindotama is a company incorporated in the Olympic Group. This company is a manufacturingcompany which produces furniture and household-wares made from plastic material. Problems en countered were rawmaterial shortage and production delay, though the company already had a partnership with several suppliers because ofthe un-integrated data and there was a “human error” in data entry. Results of the problem were the company could losemarket share and threatened with competitors’ position. Based on the problems which arose, it was proposed to use an e-SCMapplication system at the company because e-SCM application system could help the company to manage flow of raw materialbetter and strengthen the company’s relationship between suppliers and distributors. The methods used were Porter’s FiveForces to analyze the company’s position in market and SWOT Method to determine a strategy could be used by the company.Based on the internal matrix (IFE), the result obtained was 3:08. Whereas, the external matrix (EFE), the result obtained was3:34. Based on both results, it can be concluded that the company is in a strong position in matrix IE. Whereas, the strategyused is Strengths-Opportunity (SO) which is in SWOT matrix. It is expected that the SO strategy and e-SCM applicationsystem, the company can be more strength its position in the market.Keywords: e-SCM, SWOT, internal matrix, external matrix

Abstract

Purpose of this research is to analyze and design a network between head and branch office, andcompany mobile user, which can be used to increase performance and effectiveness of company in doingtheir business process. There were 3 main methods used in this research, which were: library study, analysis,and design method. Library study method was done by searching theoretical sources, knowledge, and otherinformation from books, articles in library, and internet pages. Analysis method was done by doing anobservation on company network, and an interview to acquire description of current business process andidentify problems which can be solved by using a network technology. Meanwhile, the design method wasdone by making a topology network diagram, and determining elements needed to design a VPN technology,then suggesting a configuration system, and testing to know whether the suggested system could run well ornot. The result is that network between the head and branch office, and the mobile user can be connectedsuccessfully using a VPN technology. In conclusion, with the connected network between the head andbranch office can create a centralization of company database, and a suggested VPN network has run well byencapsulating data packages had been sent.Keywords: network, Virtual Private Network (VPN), library study, analysis, design

Abstract

Article presented a measurement of Information Technology (IT) risk levels and identify security practices whichwere suitable in the risk overcoming, as noted in PTNL. Company was also expected to be more alert to the risk impactsof information technology which might occur in PTNL. Analytical method used was OCTAVE-S method. This method wasused in a risk measurement of information technology risk, with some steps which had important roles in searching for themeasurement results effectively and efficiently, which were applied in PTNL. The results which will be achieved were to giveoverall results of risk measurement occurred at the company, either the plus or minus, and provide recommendations whichare expected to solve and correct the minus or problems which occurred in PTNL. Conclusion states that the risk measurementof information technology performed in PTNI has successfully minimized the risks that can threaten the company’s security.Keywords: measurement, risk, Information Technology (IT), OCTAVE-S method

Abstract

Notre-Dame Bookshop is a company which growth is quite fast. For only 2 years, this bookshop hasopened 2 new branches. Unfortunately, this growth was not followed up by the development of company onsales system and shop marketing. Therefore, this research was conducted to facilitate all transaction in pointof sales from Notre-Dame Bookshop, and also to implement Customer Relationship Management (CRM)application in it. Research method used was a direct survey in field, a library study, an interview, aquestionaire, and a design method. The benefit of creating this application is to provide some solutions forproblem faced by Notre-Dame Bookshop, such as an easier recording of transaction, a more orderly andimposible to be lost managing of customers’ data, and a more practical and detailed reporting. Theconclusion got is with the existence of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) aplication integrated withpoint of sales, Notre-Dame Bookshop will be able to increase service to the customers by providing a fastand clear information, managing customers and company campaigne better, and obtaining details oftransaction faster and easier. Abstract

Article present the work and fuction of a tool which is able to scan an object reconstructed into a three-dimensionalobject. The object could be modified by computer software. Methodology were library and laboratory research methods. Fromthe experiment results, the scanning and reconstruction process of three-dimensional object could work well. The conclusionobtained is the optimum angle to scan the object is at an angle of 25o to 35o. Abstract

Article clarified a source of learning and research on the design of Automatic Parking System. That was implementedat Syahdan Campus, Bina Nusantara University. The research methods done were library. Literature study was done bystudying and looking for articles about matters related and laboratory research method the development of existing parkinglots. Meanwhile, the laboratory study was done by creating algorithm designs will be used to detect the parking lot, designingof physical design, and simulation system which will be created. This system used sensors to detect whether there were the carsor not. Then it will be sent via RS-485 for the farthest distance. The results of sensor reading will be displayed on PC. Abstract

Article presented an information system development which can facilitate the doctors and nurses at clinic in managingoutpatient and reporting data quickly, accurately, and effectively. Before using a computerized system, all data recording wasstill done conventionally using paper media. The research method used was an analysis and designing method, interviews,library research, and field study as to do an observation. The analysis and designing method, which was proposed, used anobject-oriented concept and presented through notation of Unified Modeling Language (UML). The research results showedthat a clinic needs a new system which can facilitate the doctors and nurses in processing operational data, such as medicalrecord data and other data relating to the outpatient. Abstract

There are various ways to detect osteoporosis disease (bone loss). One of them is by observing the osteoporosisimage through rontgen picture or X-ray. Then, it is analyzed manually by Rheumatology experts. Article present the creationof a system which could detect osteoporosis disease on human, by implementing the Rheumatology principles. The main areasidentified were between wrist and hand fingers. The working system in this software included 3 important processing, whichwere process of basic image processing, pixel reduction process, pixel reduction, and artificial neural networks. Initially, thecolor of digital X-ray image (30 x 30 pixels) was converted from RGB to grayscale. Then, it was threshold and its gray levelvalue was taken. These values then were normalized to an interval [0.1, 0.9], then reduced using a PCA (Principal ComponentAnalysis) method. The results were used as input on the process of Backpropagation artificial neural networks to detect thedisease analysis of X-ray being inputted. It can be concluded that from the testing result, with a learning rate of 0.7 andmomentum of 0.4, this system had a success rate of 73 to 100 percent for the non-learning data testing, and 100 percent forlearning data.Keywords: osteoporosis, image processing, PCA, artificial neural networks
