ABSTRACT Evaluation of Functional and Aesthetic Value of Park Maccini Sombala of Makassar City as Horticultural Parks This study aims to evaluate the functional and aesthetic value of Park Maccini Sombala, Makassar as a horticultural park and make recommendations based on the evaluation. The research phases consisted of an inventory phase, analysis, and synthesis. The inventory phase was conducted to collect data on the physical, biophysical and social. The analysis phase was conducted based on descriptive and qualitative analysis on the data collected and KPI (Key Performance Index) assessment for the physical components, the quality of the park, soft materials, hard materials, as well as visitors. Synthesis phase was carried out to make a recommendation of allocation of the park as park horticulture. Evaluation of the functional and aesthetic value indexes of Park Maccini Sombala as horticultural garden result in KPI total value of all components of 0.70 on a scale of 0 - 1. The proposed recommendations are divided into general recommendations and the specific recommendations. Addition and improvement of soft and hard material condition are given as the general recommendation, whereas specific recommendations is specified for the allocation of the park as horticultural parks, namely the development of the park's horticultural experimental garden, seed, garden education and research, as well as horticultural tourist park. ABSTRACT Physical Maintenance in Nostalgia Park, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province Nostalgia Park is located in Frans Seda Street, Kupang City. It is a city park built by the local government as the place for the National Peace Monument in Kupang. This park is managed by the local government and it has been the city park in Kupang, Nusa Tenggara Timur Province. The purpose of this research are to know the physical maintenance system of soft materials and hard materials, the users’ perspective of the physical maintenance system, and the obstacles in doing the physic maintenance in Nostalgia Park. This methods of research are done by doing observation, using questionaire to determine the visitors’ perceptions, identifying the physical maintenance system with the local government, and getting some literatures to complete the data of this research. Results of research indicated that the local government has done a good physical maintenance for soft materials and hard materials in Nostalgia Park. This can be seen by the result of the visitors’ perceptions and interview with the local government. Key words: East Nusa Tenggara, Kupang City, Nostalgia Park, physical maintenance system

ABSTRACT Inventory of Medical Plants used as Landscape Elements From the Lowlands to the Highlands of Tabanan Regency Tabanan regency is one district that has lowland and highland. Besides, Tabanan still very strong Balinese culture that is still many people who use medical plants not only as a raw material cuisine, but also as an infrastructure for prayer, ritual raw materials, and also as a treatment for balian, but these plants also have beautiful stem, leaves, flowers, and fruits so it can be used as an ornamental plant or as landscape elements, especially at home, in hotels and government offices. Results from this study can be useful for people who want to know the medical plants in the area of the Tabanan regency and the suitability of areas where the growth is suitable in highland or lowland areas. Methods used in this study are literature studies, surveys, observation and identification (observation), survey using list name of plants and data analysis. Research conducted in three sub-districts such as Kediri, Marga, and Baturiti. Results indicated that, based on the altitude there was found several number of medical plants species i.e. in sub-districts of Kediri 43 species, in sub-districts of Marga 26 species, and in sub-districts of Baturiti 15 species. Medical plants in the area usually found in the garden, telajakan, or in tegalan land unit. Keywords: landscape elements, medical plants, Tabanan regency

ABSTRACT Suitability Analysis of The Location of The Development Public Green Open Space in The Sub District Palu Timur and Palu Barat The existence of green open spaces, especially for public green open spaces in the region of Palu City still showing lack of suitability with public aspect, therefore, to optimize the function of public space as a place for comfortable activities required the suitability analysis of the location to identify and determine prioritize the location of the development of public green open space based on aspects of the fulfillment of public functions. The purpose of this study was to identify and map the aspects that influence as well as analyze and determine the suitability of the location of the development of public green open space in the sub district of Palu Timur and Palu Barat. The results showed the suitability class of the location of development public green open space was divided into four class not suitable, enough suitable, suitable and very suitable.Based on the determination of suitability of location can be determined the priority of the location of the development of public green open space in the subdistrict Palu Timur and Palu Barat was located on an area with the suitability level very suitable with an area for subdistrict Palu Timur 885.576,32 m2 and Palu Barat 661.986,41 m2. ABSTRACT Study of Biodiversity Value and Distribution in The Upper Stream of Ciliwung Watershed Watershed is one of the ecological boundary that has important role related to landscape sustainability. Ciliwung Watershed is categorized as super-priority watershed in Indonesia and provides landscape services particularly mentioned in this study is biodiversity value.The study sites were located in three sub-districts in the upper stream of Ciliwung Watershed (Ciawi, Megamendung, Cisarua), Bogor District of West Java. The main objectives of this study were to analyze value and distribution of biodiversity using six indicators of landscape sustainability. The six indicators (presence of threatened species, land use and land cover change, land use intensity of organic agricultural, population, occupation, and infrastructure) were analyzed using geographical information system (GIS). Based on the result, it can be shown that Cisarua and Megamendung sub-district are the first and second largest area with high biodiversity value (4.022 Ha and 2.099 Ha). Meanwhile, Ciawi sub-district has no area with high biodiversity value. Finally, we propose six recomendations of landscape management for biodiversity sustainability in the upper stream of Ciliwung Watershed.
