Abstract

Abstract: This research is to describe grammatical ambiguity and lexical ambiguity on online news in the site of tribunnews.com in December 2018. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data obtained using reading techniques and note taking techniques. Then, the data is analyzed by reading the news text first then recording the parts according to the problems to be studied using a small book. From the data obtained in the online news on the site of tribunnews.com in December 2018, the types of grammatical ambiguity found include grammatical ambiguity based on punctuation and conjunctions, then grammatical ambiguity caused by branched phrases. Then the type of lexical ambiguity found is lexical ambiguity based on the form of shifting use, based on the form of specialization in the social environment, based on the form of figurative language, based on a form of understanding of incomplete meanings, based on forms of foreign influence, based on homonymy forms.Key Words: Language Ambiguity, Online News, Tribunnews.Com

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between agility and speed with dribbling skills in the Tapung N 7 Middle School Soccer Team in Kampar District. This form of research is a correlation study, the population in this study was the Tapung N 7 Junior High School soccer team in Kampar district. The sample in this study is the 7 Tapung Middle School Soccer Team totaling 18 people. From the calculation of the first analysis Relationships X1 and Y where the rtab at a significant level α (0.05) = 0.424 means r count (0.598)> rtab (0.424). Meaning hopotesis is accepted and there is a significant relationship between agility and dribbling skills on the football team Tapung N 7 Middle School Kampar District. The second analysis of the relationship between speed (X2) and dribbling skills (Y) where rtab at a significant level α (0.05) = 0.424 means r count (0.515)> rtab (0.424). Meaning hopotesis is accepted and there is a significant relationship between agility with dribbling skills on the Tapung 7 Junior High School Soccer team in Kampar district. The third analysis, namely the relationship of agility (X1) and Speed (X2) with dribbling skills (Y) is significant where where the rtab at the significant level α (0.05) = 0.424 means r count (0.620)> rtab (0.424). accepted and there is a meaningful relationship between agility and speed with dribbling skills on the Tapung 7 Junior High School Soccer team in Kampar district.Key Words: Agility, Speed and Dribbling Skills

Abstract

Abstract: The main, objectives of the study are to find out; 1) the students’ grammar mastery, 2) the students’ writing ability and 3) the correlation between grammar mastery and writing ability. The population of the study is 104 third year students, the sample is 22 students by using the cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected through 40 questions (grammar test) about students’ grammar (Grammar Mastery) and 1 question (essay) about students’ writing ability. The result of the test was analyzed by using the Pearson product moment in SPSS version 23. From the analysis, it was found that the third year students of English Study Program of FKIP Universitas Riau were at a good level in their grammar mastery, meanwhile the students’ writing ability mean score 73.33. The correlation between both variables was in high correlation with the level was 0.720. However, building motivation and mindset about having a good grammar mastery is essential to be recommended because it is very useful to develop students’ English skill and help them to face some tests which correlate with students’ writing ability.Key Words: Correlation, Grammar Mastery, Writing Ability

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the percentage of students who reached the KKM was 31%, namely 9 people out of 29 students, it was seen that 69% of students in Class VIIF of SMP 10 Tapung were under the KKM. The KKM set by the school for comparison material is 70. Based on these data, it can be said that the learning outcomes of Class VIIF students in Tapung 10 Middle School on the comparison material are still low. This study aims to improve the learning process and improve the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VIIF students of 10 Tapung Junior High School in school year 2018/2019 through the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model. The research subjects were VIIF students of 10 Tapung Junior High School in the 2018/2019 academic year totaling 21 people. Data collection instruments in this study are syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and teacher and student activity observation sheets, as well as daily test questions. The results of this study indicate that the average student learning outcomes increased from the basic score of 41.8 to the first cycle to 70.1 with an increase in percentage of 20.85%, then at the base level 41.8 to the second cycle 83.00 with an increase of 29.35%. While the average activity of teachers in the first cycle was 77.78 (moderate) and increased in the second cycle to 96.97 (Very Good) or increased by 37.5. Besides the activity of students with an average in the first cycle is 71.8 (Moderate) and increases in the second cycle to 97.4 (Very Good) or an increase of 35.42. Based on these results it can be concluded that the mathematics learning outcomes of students have increased. Teacher activities and student activities at each meeting also increased. This proves that the application of the STAD type cooperative learning model can improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in class VIIF of Tapung 10 Junior High School.Key Words: Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model Type STAD
