<![CDATA[Improvements layout on the sheet metal 1 department at PT. MCP held 45.89% due to backtracking that occurs when the operator does the production process. This improvement layout is built to match better layout for PT. MCP. The method used is the method of calculation of the moment without any cost calculation. Total moment of initial layout is 1,785,988.5. Improvement facility layout on sheet metal 1 department uses two methods. 2-Opt and CRAFT are both the methods. Calculations for 2-Opt method does not produce a total of better moment than the moment of the first layout, but the percentage of backtracking decrease to 38.95%. 2-Opt layout still can not be applied to the real situation because the moment is used as a reference. Otherwise total moment of CRAFT method generate better moment than the moment of the initial layout that is equal to 1,656,291.8 and percentage of backtracking also decreased to 23,69%. Layout CRAFT produced by the method can be applied to the real situation in the department of sheet metal 1 PT. MCP.]]>

<![CDATA[CV. ABC merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak pada pupuk organik cair dan non-cair. Perusahaan membutuhkan sertifikasi ISO 14001 yang merupakan standar lingkungan terkontrol terus menerus oleh organisasi international untuk meningkatkan jumlah ekspor perusahaan. Identifikasi aspek penting lingkungan CV. ABC yang merupakan cara persiapan ISO 14001 tersebut dikelola dan dipantau secara berkala kemudian disajikan dalam berbagai dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada 1 syarat ISO 14001 klausa 4.3.3 belum terpenuhi yaitu yang berhubungan dengan audit pihak luar. CV. ABC sekarang telah memiliki aspek lingkungan serta pengelolaan lingkungan yang sesuai dengan syarat ISO 14001 klausul 4.3.]]>

<![CDATA[PT Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia is a vehicle manufacturing company which produces Toyota brand car. The company is expanding and has a goal to reach an annual production volume of x vehicle unit in 2017, will needs an adequate human resources to achieve the goal. Human resources Division, especially Manpower Planning Section is responsible to any matters or issues related to manpower needs inside the company. In doing the duties, MPP faces some challenges in constructing Direct labor Manpower Planning and maintaining Employee Requisiton Process. Toyota Business Practices method is used to solve the problems.MPP Section is responsible to construct an accurate manpower planning to estimate the manpower needs in FY 15/16. Accurate planning can be constructed by considering all factors that are related and using the right business assumptions. Problems faced in Employee requisition Process is Kanban form for replacement manpower is submitted late to MPP Section, and it reach 34% of total Kanban form received in a period. Improvements that has been done is to construct an annual placement schedule, construct an enrollment monitoring sharefolder, construct a new enrollment form, standardize the Employee Requisition Process and construct SOP to fill the Kanban form. These improvements reduced the number of late Kanban form submitted to MPP Section to 14%. ]]>

<![CDATA[The increasing of the air cleaner’s production cost was one of the problems experienced by PT. Astra Otoparts Adiwira Plastics Division. The production costs consist of three types of the cost, namely cost of materials, labor costs, and factory overhead cost. The increasing of production cost is caused by the large number of manpower who works on the production of assy air cleaner area, the use of the area, and electricity consumption. The large number of manpower affects the increasing of labor costs and the use of the area and electricity consumption affect an increase in factory overhead cost. Cost of raw materials being on the outside control of the company as the costs would come from supplier. The saving cost is calculated after improving and applying direct assy. The estimating of saving cost is Rp. 203,933,267.59 monthly. After implementing the direct assy, the work standardization is designed. The design of standardization work already performed the three types of standardizations. Those are standardized work chart (SWC), standardized work combination table (SWCT), and work instruction (WI).]]>

<![CDATA[This study aimed to evaluate the compliance system of the reliefs through Indonesia aid agencies. Reliefs can be assembled and deployed from the government, private, and community. Logistical support needed for disaster management. Support logistical support should be on time, precise location, target, good quality, enough quantity, and needed. This research used interview method to the BPBD, PMI, and the private sector (KSR) and distributing questionnaires to 101 respondents to identify the community's involvement in the current disaster management system. Results from this study indicate that the compliance system of the goods through disaster management agencies still lack involve the private sector and community involvement in disaster management at the program is still lacking. The current system is still considered less troublesome and won the trust of the public. The private sector is still less involved in this system, whereas the private sector is a party that can assist humanitarian organizations that exist today to meet their needs. <![CDATA[This research aims to discover the factors that influences and causes any defects on hollow products of PT. X. We applied DMAIC method to solve the problems. Pareto Chart and Fishbone are utilized for prioritizing and Fishbone discovering the root of the problem, consecutively. As the results, the recommendations that can be given are standardization on some processes such as patri, cukit, and drying, periodical cleaning and maintanance on the machines, calibration on the micrometer, utilizing box for storing the goods, and provide a specific training for the operators in the rangkai and patri departments.]]>

<![CDATA[PT Sumber Rubberindo Jaya is a company that produces motorcycle tires. This company has implemented occupational safety and health but with limitation in providing personal protective equipment. Currently, some export customers require occupational safety and health as a condition of export. Therefore this research is to improve the occupational safety and health in the company. HIRARC method is used to analyze the safety and health of the company. The result shows 24% activities are categorized as low risk, 48% are categorized as moderate risk, 28% are categorized as high risk. There are 8 moderate risk activities from all areas and 9 high risk activities from raw materials, mixing, cutting, building drum, curing. Proposed improvements are given to fixing the floor, giving personal protective equipment (safety shoes, helmet) and safety sign, the path the forklift and various other things.]]>

<![CDATA[Management at finished goods warehouse owned by PT. FSCM Manufacturing Indonesia is less effective. That problem makes the warehouse becomes disorganized. The suggested designs to improve warehouse management include optimizing the warehouse capacity, redesigning of the warehouse layout, and improving goods placement system. Additionally, measurement of warehouse performance makes warehouse management better. As the results, after the implementation of the new design, the warehouse is now well organized and itsperformance is improved.]]>

<![CDATA[Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) is a place where do slaughter animals for food. Consumer demand for quality piece of meat made RPH must pay attention to the production process. Standardized work and quality plan is needed for the resulting product had a high quality, especially piece of meat. Standardized work and quality plan is not end until RPH, but also transportation and display at traditional market. Improvement methods used in this research is the method of Standardized work, quality plan, and fishbone diagram. This improvement will be supported by the establishment of some standardization work in order to maintain sustainable improvements in the future.]]>

<![CDATA[ PT. XXX has applied Health Safety Enviroment system, but still experienced relatively high level of accidents. The accident number was up to 11 out of a total worker of 390 in 2014. PT XXX would like to decrease to zero accident so as the production process runs smoothly.The method used in this problem was Behavior Based Safety. BBS method provides training for the worker to behave safely. This method gave good results in that all processes had an average of 80% safety behavior. BBS changed many dangerous behavior to become safety behavior, but there is still a dangerous behavior that cannot be changed.]]>
