Production scheduling in a manufacturing company is an important point to control the production process movements. PT. XYZ doesn’t have a scheduling system which fit for their daily production process. This research intends to make a production scheduling system which fit for PT. XYZ. Production scheduling is useful for minimizing delays in delivery as a result of delays in the production process. Scheduling method used in this study is earliest due date method. Earliest due date method is chosen in aim to minimize the maximum tardiness which happened in a project. Scheduling system was made starting from the making of the schedule up to controlling process of the schedule.

To control the production quality in terms of product weight, PT. X needs a standardization in production process. The weight standardization will help ease stocking process for both the company and the distributor. This research is used on the hollow product with chain type A with gold levels of 70%. Some of the products weight are not constant due to the variation of shrinkage percentage in every production process. The solution for this problem is to reduce the variation of shrinkage percentage levels in every production process using PDCA method. The improvement results obtained from PDCA method is shown on hammering, hollowing, and bombing process. On hammering process, a decrease in the shrinkage percentage variation is done by controlling the wire’s thick shrinkage percentage 15%-20% for a 5% shrinkage percentage. The percentage of necklace on hollowing process can’t be controlled, as a result an improvement is needed by giving an accurate range percentage standard, 49%-52% for chain A with gold levels of 70%. The weight shrinkage percentage in bombing process is depending on the size of small, medium, and large chain respectively 4%-5%, 5%-6%, 6%-7%.

This research was conducted to determine the location of potential aid depot at the time of the annual flood disasters in Gresik Regency. Determination of the location of potential aid depot is applied using mathematical models and involving BPBD of East Java and BPBD Gresik. Linear programming is applied and solved using solver excel software. The constraint of this mathematical model made are time constraint, the number of vehicles, dan the amount of potential aid depot. The function of the purpose of mathematical model is abaout handling maximize the number of victims dan minimized the total time of delivery relief. The result of research shows that to determine the location of potential assistance or post depot influenced by some obstacle that is the time constraint, the number of vehicles, and the objective function.

Abstract: PT Injaplast is a manufacturing company that produces a plastic sacks (plastic woven bags,) which is located in Jl. Margomulyo No. 35, Surabaya. PT Injaplast currently doesn’t have a Occupational Safety and Health, so that the work accident still quite high. It can be seen from the company’s work accident data, which in 2013 and 2014 there are 12 minor accidents and 3 major accidents that occurred. The high rate of work accident can be minimized through the preparation of hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control document (HIRARC). HIRARC can support the successful implemetation of K3. The purpose of HIRARC is to detect hazard exist, risk assessment, and making control to minimize the potential risk. The results of HIRARC document preparation shows that there are still many activities that endagers worker. There are 43% activities are classified as moderate risk and 15% as high risk. That risk level must be solved by making a risk control. The suggestion on risk control are giving a personal protective equipment, give safety sign (administrative control), add equipment (engineering control), and replace a personal protective equipment and tools (substitution). The estimation of decreased risk rating possibility that expected later will be created based on risk controls that have been given. The estimation of decreased risk rating possibility when the controlling risk executed is the risk with moderate category which originally was 43% decrease to 11% while the high category are initially 15% decrease to 3%.

PT XYZ is having difficulty in giving the exact completion time. Sales department always says that the order will be finished in eleven working days. Because the promised processing time always constant, 22.27% of the orders between June 2014 and November 2014 are late. Therefore, the aim of this research is to produce a system for production planning and inventory control, so that the company can estimate completion time accurately. The improvement is the company must estimating completion time before determining processing time in the sales order. Therefore, a detailed production schedule that can be accessed by sales department is needed. Scheduling is created by using the first come first served method, and paying attention to the raw materials availability. The lot size for ordering raw materials is determined by using fixed order quantity method. Production report is created more detail by reporting the actual production daily. The implementation of the improvements can reduce order fulfillment delays, because the processing time in sales order is determined by considering the remaining capacity. The scheduling is made based on the actual condition, therefore can be used to estimate the remaining capacity. The production report can also be used to check whether an order is produced according to the schedule or not.

Lately the number of small and medium industry in Indonesian increase sharply, even though this growth was not followed by the development of internal organization and the innovation environment. While the development of internal organization and innovation may improve the performance of the small and medium industry. This research aims to model the increase in performance of shoes industries at Mojokerto thorugh the innovation atmosphere which can be influenced by internal organization as well. We used Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) to model the three variables (Interanal Organization, Innovation Atmosphere, and Performance) and developed questionnaire for the latent variables. We found that the internal organization which supported by the atmosphere of innovation did not significantly influence the industry performance.

PT Schneider Electric Manufacturing Batam-Plant Electro Mechanic is a company that produce electrical parts. Changeover time on some bench in production floor are very high, That’s why it needs to be reduced and improved. The method that will be used are Single Minutes Exchange of Dies (SMED) This project started with observing all machine on production floor, and after that some machine will be chosen to be improved. Changeover time data will be taken from this chosen machine, and this data will be analyzed with SMED. The result from SMED data will become suggested improvement for each machine. Suggested improvement that able to straightly be done will be directly implemented to target machine.Improvement on bench Auto Tampo Print was able to reduce the changeover time by 47%. Estimate improvement on bench Printing Body XB7-2nd Life should be able to reduce the changeover time by 75%. Estimate improvement on bench Manual Checker should be able to reduce the changeover time by 44%. Estimate improvement on bench Coil Winding and Testing MARSILI should be able to reduce changeover time by 18%. Estimate improvement on bench Coil Winding DETZO should be able to reduce changeover time by 7.4%.

A Firm occasionaly has more than one supplier to fulfill their raw material needs. It happened because the firm is confused in choosing the good and the bad one. Supplier evaluation is conducted to figure it out. This evaluation is based on each supplier performance. The purpose of this reserach is to find out the suppliers performance at CV. Jaya Koil. The method used in this research is max-min method. The result of this research is that there’s no dominant difference between one supplier with others, so company may allocate its budget on any supplier

PT. X is one of the cigarette manufacturing leaders in Indonesia. Products from PT. X is distributed inside and outside Indonesia through a number of markets. Therefore, a good Allocation Planning is a must. PT. X wants to map the activities in the Allocation Planning and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is chosen for accomplishing that task. First, we map the current situation using VSM, we found two wastes occurred during the Allocation Planning, which are waiting time and motion. After that, various improvements are executed to reduce those wastes, and then once more the VSM are applied. The results showed that in overall the lead time decrease over 34.88%.

PT Charoen Pokphand Feedmill Balaraja Indonesia is a poultry feed producer company. One of the main processes in feed production is mixing process which involves mixer machine. When mixing process is running lot of raw material wasted out through the mixer machine funnel. The wasted raw material known as bin has a low selling price which brings losses to the company. DMAIC is applied to solve the problem.Improvement carried out by installing hostaform to cover the gap that allows the raw material wasted out from the mixer machine through the funnel and change the handle position. Result of the improvement is the amount of raw materials that wasted out through the funnel was reduced by 80.02% with cost needed is Rp. 6.109.703,-. The company can save Rp. 442.911.432,-/year by implementing this improvement. Control to the improvement is needed every two months, according to the mixer machine preventive schedule.
