Abstract

The indoor penetration manifested as macro cell system which is the extension of outdoorsignalling into indoor premises, can be implemented both by High Speed Downlink PacketAccess (HSDPA) and Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) as well in thearea of 3.5G related application. The significant parameters being used in this researchwere Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP) and Received Signal Code Power (RSCP).The results showed that for data down linking operation the EIRP 58 dBm and the RSCP -69.94 dBm for WCDMA, while the EIRP 56 dBm and the RSCP -71.64 dBm for HSDPA.Furthermore, the drive test results showed for HSDPA running File Transfer Protocol (FTP)application the RSCP -92.2 dBm with throughput ≈2,0Mbps, while for running Hyper TextTransfer Protocol (HTTP) application the RSCP -95 dBm with throughput ≈1.9Mbps. Abstract

A very important problem in the design and operation of a distribution system is thecalculation of the voltage profile within specified limits at various points in the system. Inthis text we shall develop methods by which we can calculate the voltage, current, and powerat any point in a distribution line provided we know these values at one point, usually at oneend of the line. The continued development of large, high-speed digital computers havebrought about a change in the relative importance of various techniques in the solution oflarge distribution networks. One of particular importance is the introduction of busadmittance and bus impedance matrices method which will prove to be very useful in thecalculation of the voltage profile in the distribution networks.Keywords: voltage profile, bus admittance, bus impedance, matrices

Abstract

A Distance Detector is a circuit that is built using ultrasonic sensor to detect objects aroundone`s car and AT89S52 microcontroller as the processor. An Ultrasonic sensor will detectobjects around the car. The sensor’s transmitter will transmit ultrasonic waves. If theultrasonic waves bounce back to the receiver, it means that there is an object around the car.Microcontroller will count the time needed to receive the ultrasonic waves and determine thedistance between the object and the car. The distance can be read from the Liquid CrystalDisplay (LCD) or Light Emitting Diode (LED) panel that is placed in front of the car driver.After being assembled and tested, this device works properly. This device can detect anobject up to the distance of 2 meters from the sensor. The deviation between the real distanceand the calculated one ranges from 0.82% to 34.40%. the longer the distance, the smallerthe deviation.Keywords: ultrasonic sensor, microcontroller, distance, LCD, LED

Abstract

Consumption of the electronic devices has been increase in the late of twenty years recentlyand it will cause the problem which had been unexpected before. It will cause non sinusoidalcurrent, although it is supplied by sinusoidal voltage source. This current will interfere thehigh frequent component at power system distribution grid and then it called ”harmoniccurrent”. The harmonic current can cause a lot of trouble to the consumer even powerprovider as well. High cost operation, short lifetime any equipment as the most disadvantageif the harmonic current appear on electric power distribution system. There are manymethod to reduce the harmonic distortion.
