Abstract

Solar cell is one of renewable energy. Solar cell can convert directly sunlight dissociationenergy of diatomic to become electric energy. Electric energy yielded by solar cell hardlyinfluenced by the sun intensity of light received, so that solar cell can only yield electricenergy if there are sunlight. Supply of electric energy should be able to be applied everytime. Hybrid of solar energy alternator (PLTS) with electrical grid of PLN will yieldcontinuous supply of electric energy. At this hybrid system, electrical supply from PLTS isdesigned to be around 30% from overall load of electrical equipment in household, the restload around 70% is fulfilled by PLN.Hybrid process of PLTS with the electrical grid iscontrolled by a switch controller which its working principal based on one way direction;when PLTS works (on), hence electric supply from PLN is disconnected and so vice versa.Keywords: solar cell, hybrid system, switch controller

Abstract

The increasing demand for telecommunication services nowadays, particularly in optical fiber transmission, has necessitated the optimization of optical amplifying device, such as Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA). The latest development of technology has enabled the implementation of Raman Amplifier in the long haul system (300-800 km) and ultra long haul system (>900 km). The Raman Fiber Amplifier (RFA) is recommended for several advantages, such as flat gain for all wavelengths, low noise figure, and applicable to any kind of optical fibers. It is quite possible that by using C + L Band approach, much higher raise in the band Hybrid EDFA/RFA’s amplification factor can be achieved. Abstract

Automatic Object Delivery Robot Based on AVR ATMega16 Microcontroller is a robot thatdelivers goods to a certain location and move back to its initial position automatically, andavoids obstacles to reach any location. This Robot is built by using two stepper motors formoving forward and backward, and SHARP GP2D12 infra red sensor connectedmechanically to the servo motor in order to turn the sensor around 45 degrees to detect theexistence of any obstacle at a certain distance around the robot. Transmitter in the sensorwill transmit infra red light and if there are obstacles at a distance of 10 to 36.7 cm, the infrared light will be reflected to the sensor. AVR ATMega16 Microcontroller as the processorwill analyze the area of the obstacles at certain distance and move the robot to the areawhere there is no obstacle. After being assembled and tested, this robot can go to itsdestination and back to its initial position as programmed. There are errors as the robotreaches its destination. For example, the destination coordinate is x=2 and y=6 becomesx=1,95 and y=6, and the initial position coordinate is x=2 and y=0 becomes x=1,7 andy=0 when tested without obstacles, and the coordinate becomes x=1,4 and y=0 when testedwith obstacles. These errors occur due to inaccuracy of stepper motor rotation.Keywords: Robot, Microcontroller, stepper motor, servo motor, infrared sensor.

Abstract

The design, analysis and implementation of a high frequency 1-3GHz tunable pure NMOSQuadrature Up-Conversion mixer topology are presented. The mixer is implemented in adeep submicron 0,25 μm CMOS process technology. Utilizing an off-chip tunable inductorachieves tunable range of frequency. Various passive components had been incorporated inits circuitry to increase the linearity of the topology. The mixer, which is a configuration of abalanced modulator, is composed from a Parallel Structure Low Voltage Multipliertopology, a High Gain Phase Shifting network and a Differential Cascade amplificationstage at the output. Various topology of four quadrant multiplier, biased in different regionof operation has been simulated and analyzed. The utilized topology requires fewer amountof stacked transistors, thus reducing the voltage headroom requirement of the circuitry. Theproposed high gain phase shifter relaxes the requirement of cascading several stages oflimiting amplifier at the output. Operating from a power supply of 2.0V, it consumes 150mWof power, with an OIP3 of 0dBm and 1dB compression level of 4.6dB.Keywords: Balanced Modulator, CMOS analog integrated circuit, Mixers, Phase shifters,RFIC
