Abstract

Nowadays the implementions of the transmission modulation techniques (high channel capacity) in optical fibres have been widely developed, one of the successful key factors of this system is the application of digital modulation techniques and the adjustment of modulation pattern. Modulation pattern of adjustment measures on the operational requirements of the system was made possible by the utilization of techniques Apol RZ-DPSK (Alternate Polarization Return-to-Zero Differential Phase Shift Keying). It is considered likely because it can reduce the effects of inter-channel non-linearity, noise and simultaneously demonstrates increasing system margins. Abstract

WDM technology has some advantages such as to enhance the network capacity, flexibility,and also has good prospect in the future (at international scale network of the undersea fiberoptics). Based on the advantages in serving the future telecommunication, new techniquecalled DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing) has been applied in instrumentdesigned to serve dense traffic communication. With its product called Ericsson OpticalNetworking (ERIONTM), Ericsson has launched Errion Linier and Erion Flexing Bus. Thisinstrument could transmit 32 channels at same time at operated 0,8 nm channel grid at thirdwindow. Furthermore, it has equipped with traffic protection to solve some failures andmanagement control at operators overview to keep the best performance simultaneously.Keywords: WDM, DWDM, Optical Amplifier, EDFA, Channel Capacity, Digital CrossConnect (DXC).

Abstract

The increasing demand for telecommunication services nowadays, particularly in optical fiber transmission, has necessitated the optimization of optical amplifying device, such as Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA). The latest development of technology has enabled the implementation of Raman Amplifier in the long haul system (300-800 km) and ultra long haul system (>900 km). The Raman Fiber Amplifier (RFA) is recommended for several advantages, such as flat gain for all wavelengths, low noise figure, and applicable to any kind of optical fibers. It is quite possible that by using C + L Band approach, much higher raise in the band Hybrid EDFA/RFA’s amplification factor can be achieved. Abstract

Sequencing techniques Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) at this time is a method to identify the genetic basis of living beings, including to determine the accurate genetic relationship of several DNA sequence data. Kinship clearly and easily can be expressed in the form of a phylogenetic tree diagram (Phylogenetic Tree). This diagram represents kinship obtained from the elektroferogram process of electrophoresis sequencing of DNA bases. From some sequences experimental results using sequence analysis application program gradually, starting from installing, editing, and alignment so as to obtain the analysis and phylogenetic branching diagram view. This study uses a sequence analysis program Mega-7 (Molecular Evolutionary Genetics Analysis) to obtain a phylogenetic diagram for high accuracy and relatively easy to operate. This program can translate image data into nucleotide bases that shows the kinship of the distance the nearest branch with a standard sequence. The major advantage of this program is that it can do some analysis in a single program.

Abstract

Human error didefinisikan sebagai kegagalan untuk menyelesaikan suatu pekerjaan spesifik yang sulit untuk dihindarkan, akan tetapi dapat diminimasi dampaknya melalui upaya pencegahan. Salah satu dampak dari human error yang terjadi di industri yaitu terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai human error, jenis-jenis human error, metode human error dan intervensi ergonomi untuk meminimasi terjadinya human error. Metode atau pendekatan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah dan diskusi. Pelatihan ini diberikan kepada karyawan di PT Ganding. Metode-metode terkait human error yang dipaparkan dalam pelatihan ini yaitu fault tree analysis, Human Error Assessment and Reduction Technique (HEART)dan SHERPA. Intervensi ergonomi untuk minimasi risiko human error dapat berupa penempatan display peringatan di area kerja, pengaturan jam kerja sesuai dengan beban kerja dan lainnya. Pada akhir pelatihan, peserta diminta untuk mengisi kueioner evaluasi, hasilnya menunjukan respon yang positif dari peserta untuk materi, penyampaian materi, diskusi dan pengalokasian waktu.

Abstract

Ultra long distance transmission systems - Dense Wave length Division Multiplexing (U-DWDM) is one of the fiber optic transmission systems are designed to provide large capacity and is able to transmit long distance range. Technology system design is made possible by simplifying the network architecture, as well as involving large-capacity network level, such as the use of a single network of 10 Gbps to 40 Gbps, increasing the number of wavelengths, as well as reducing the wavelength interval to extend the range of spectral systems (C-band L-band S -band). So the U-DWDM system design is a breakthrough fiber optic transmission system which is able to raise up to 160 wavelength. This technology utilizes a system SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) with Multiplexing existing signal sources. The design of this transmission devices used in telecommunications transmission services is a large-capacity transmission device and serves as a long-distance backbone designed in accordance with the conditions of the present and future as the development of optical networks, with flexible configuration. Keywords: Dense  Wavelength  Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Modulation, Return to Zero(RZ),  Forward  Error  Correction  (FEC),  Eribium  Dopped Fibre Amplification (EDFA), Distributed Raman Amplification (DRA). Sistem transmisi Ultra long distance-Dense Wave length Division Multiplexing (U-DWDM) merupakan salah satu sistem transmisi serat optik yang dirancang untuk menyediakan layanan berkapasitas besar dan mampu mentransmisi jangkauan jarak jauh. Teknologi rancangan sistem ini dimungkinkan dengan menyederhanakan arsitektur jaringan, sekaligus melibatkan tingkat jaringan berkapasitas besar, seperti pemanfaatan jaringan tunggal 10 Gbps ke 40 Gbps, meningkatkan jumlah panjang gelombang, serta mengurangi interval panjang gelombang dengan memperluas jangkauan sistem spektral (C-band L-band S-band). Sehingga rancangan sistem U-DWDM ini merupakan sebuah terobosan sistem transmisi serat optik  yang mampu meningkatkan  hingga 160-panjang gelombang. Kata Kunci: Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM), Modulation, Return to Zero (RZ),  Forward  Error  Correction (FEC), Eribium Dopped Fibre Amplification (EDFA), Distributed Raman Amplification (DRA)

Abstract

                                                                    Abstract Optical fiber transmission is generally used when the channel capacity (40 Gbit / s). Some of the key factors in achieving successful performance of this system include the implementation of Apol-DPSK modulation technique (Alternate Polarization Return-to-Zero Differential Phase Shift Keying), which accurately able to power up the canal, placement of optical amplifier (repeater) is recommended to increase the transmission range (the average gain for the entire wavelength range, low noise figure) and the use of optical fiber characteristics. To complement performance optical gain is selected fiber types NZDSF (Non-Zero Dispersion shifted fiber), it certainly can provide significant gains at the same time to reduce the widening pulse narrowing occurs due to chromatic dispersion and non-linear fiber effects. Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat pekerja industri manufaktur mengenai pelanggaran keselamatan kerja, bagaimana pencegahan dan apa konsekuensi hukumnya. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah dengan pelatihan yang berisi sesi ceramah dan sesi dikusi selama setengah hari di PT Ganding Toolsindo. Pelatihan diikuti oleh karyawan di bagian Produksi dan manajer operasi dan divisi keselamatan kerja. Materi pelatihan yang diberikan adalah mengenai faktor manusia dan organisasi yang dapat menyebabkan kecelakaan kerja, dan pengenalan undang-undang ketenagakerjaan dan peraturan pemerintah mengenai keselamatan kerja. Peserta pelatihan merasa puas dengan materi pelatihan dan menilai bahwa pelatihan ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan mereka.
