Abstract

Currently, cyberbullying remains a problem globally. This issue is prevalent among teenagers. Several studies have explored this problem, but none have attempted to test the theoretical model of the dark triad personality, empathy, and emotional regulation on cyberbullying. This research aims to test a model involving cyberbullying, dark triad personality, empathy, and emotional regulation as mediators. A total of 309 out of 1205 high school students from two private schools (207 students) and one public school (102 students) in Yogyakarta voluntarily participated in this study. Purposive sampling was used to recruit respondents. The cyberbullying scale (α = .932), dark triad personality scale (α = .752), empathy scale (α = .785), and emotional regulation scale (α = .915) were used to collect data. Content validity and internal consistency reliability were applied. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Amos 12 software. The results of this study indicate that the model of dark triad personality, empathy, and emotional regulation as mediators of cyberbullying behaviour produces a well-fitting model with its empirical data (CMIN=.747, p=862, RMSEA= .000, GFI= .999). Emotional regulation and empathy partially mediate the influence of psychopathy and narcissism on cyberbullying behaviour. Psychopathy is the only personality trait of the dark triad that directly or indirectly affects cyberbullying. The implications of the research are the need to develop interventions to reduce the dark triad personality traits and enhance empathy and emotional regulation in adolescents, in order to avoid cyberbullying behavior.

Abstract

In an era of dynamic work, millennials face unique challenges related to job stress that can impact their intention to leave their job, known as turnover intention. This scientific article explores the relationship between work stress and turnover intentions in the millennial generation, focusing on the mediating role of supervisor support to reexamine whether superiors are one of the determinants of millennial employee turnover intentions. This study used a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of research were millennial generation employees, with at least 3 months of work. Respondents came from Malaysia (64 people) and Indonesia (152 people), with a total of 216 respondents. The instruments used were the Turnover Intention Scale, General Work Stress, and Supervisor Support which have been tested. The research results show: 1). a quite strong and significant relationship between work stress and turnover intention; 2). supervisor support is not significant on turnover intentions; and 3). The effect of work stress on turnover intention with supervisor support as moderate is not significant. The novelty of the results of this research is that it is very inspiring information for management policies for millennial employees who want to stop working by overcoming sources of work stress and fostering a collegial nature with co-workers. Research implications are discussed

Abstract

The organization environment has low role ambiguity and high psychological safety so innovation can be an organizational advantage. This research used a quasi-experimental study using the Experiment Vignette Method (EVM), which aims to measure the effect of role ambiguity and psychological safety on employees' innovative work behaviour intention. The research instrument used a questionnaire distributed using Google Forms. Data collection was carried out using a purposive sampling method and obtained 262 marketplace employees in Indonesia. Independent manipulation variables were arranged as 4x2 comic strips with 4 variations of scenarios as well as measuring employee innovative work behaviour intentions using an innovative work behaviour intention questionnaire. Two-way ANOVA analysis shows that there is a significant effect of role ambiguity on employees' innovative work behaviour intention. In addition, employees with high psychological safety also show more intention to behave innovatively. This study also shows that there is an interaction effect between role ambiguity and psychological safety on employee innovative work behaviour intention.

Abstract

This writing aims to find out whether there is a correlation between perceived supervisor support and job insecurity on change engagement and self-efficacy as a mediator variable for Indonesian BUMN employees. This research involved 351 employees of state-owned companies who were determined using accidental sampling techniques. The research instrument used four scales, namely the Change Engagement Scale, the short version of the Scale of Perceived Supervisor Support (SPSS), the short version of the Job Insecurity Scale (JIS), and the Occupational Self Efficacy Short Version Scale. Data analysis in this writing uses path analysis using Jamovi. Based on the results of data analysis, there is a direct and indirect influence between perceived supervisor support on change engagement through self-efficacy, but there is no significant direct or indirect influence of job insecurity on change engagement through self-efficacy. The results of this research can be a reference for companies, especially BUMN regarding the importance of change engagement and other factors in intervening in organizations and employees.
