Jurnal ini sudah terbit sejak tahun 2002 dengan frekuensi dua kali dalam setahun, yaitu bulan Juni dan Desember. Marwah merupakan media komunikasi ilmiah antar peminat dan pemerhati kajian gender, perempuan dan Islam. Dengan tujuan mengangkat harkat dan martabat perempuan dan terpublikasinya bahan bacaan/rujukan tentang kajian-kajian perempuan.

Abstract

The existence of woman education instituation in Riau province has long history, far away before the existence of Riau as a province. The history can be divided into period of Dutch colonial, Japanese colonial till the period of independence. Every period has individuality differentiating from other period. Latifah School and of Madrasah Annisa in the empire of Siak in the period of colonization differ from Diniyah Putri Pasirpangaraian, YKWI and Diniyah Putri in Pekanbaru in the period of independence. However, there was a similiarity among the periods, that is the characteristic of woman education which had lifted the ability and role of woman as the primary and first educator and teacher, either in or out of the house, in the society, and in the school. The study also found that in each period, the woman education instituation in Riau has a relationship to Diniyyah Puteri Padang Panjang.

Abstract

Rohana Kudus is a woman combatant from Minangkabau. She never went to school and only learning by self-educatedly. Even though, her struggle in education have started since childhood. She struggled for the woman education until she died. She struggeled not only through the education instituation but also through the newspaper. The act of Rohana in woman education can be seen trought the founding of Kerajinan Amai Setiia School in Koto Gadang Bukittinggi. In journalist, Rohana is noted as the first journalist woman in Indonesia and founded the newspaper for woman in her home town. She ever invited by the Dutch governance to came to Amstardam, but it was rejected, because she was not able to fight against the cultural construrction which did not permit woman to be active in polict. Finally, Rohana decided to remain her struggle for woman tthrough the journalist and education until she died.

Abstract

Undeniable, the parents have very important role to the future of a child, because the parents are the fist people who are recognized by child in his/her life. Parents are also the people who give first experience to a child, whether is bitter or sweet experience. Each of experience which is passed by the child, whether it is seen, heard or it is felt at her/his early life will become a very important element in construction of his/her personality. In this case, it is better for the parents to give the experience which is flange to the process of cultivation and education of religion at the same time in order to develop the potency of religion that has by the child.

Abstract

This article discusses how suicide case can be prevented by the school based prevention and protection. Child has a special risk in suicide done by parent. Maybe the innoncent child will be brought together by parent for his/her suicide or the child will accept directly or nor the psychological impact of that case.Therefore, the suicide can be said as one the hardness to child, whether child as a victim, witness and or as the person who leaved by the parent with million questions in his/her mind. There are many factors cause one does the suicide.They are psychological, biological, and family environment. The prevention of suicide can be done by school based prevention and protection.This activity of course envoles the competence person in its area. The school has to foms the net working to be able to referl the student who has certain problem in order not to does suicide.

Abstract

Basicly, the teaching of sex education for the child is the same as giving immunisation to him/her. The child who has got the sex education expected will has a high self control and impenetrability to the virus attack of sex unrighteous, for example pornography, deviation, or sex abused, so that the child is not easy to infects by irresponsible sex. The Sex education for the child conducted step by step as according to his/her age. Instruction of sex is conducted squarely, easy going, and does not with negative enragement to the problem of sex. Parents have to develop sportive communications, so that the child will has a emotional openness toward parents, growing up the child trust toward parents, The problems of sex are not only a problem of intimate relationship, but many problems are there, either biological, psychological, and social. In Islam, the sex education is a part of the integration of aqidah, moral, and religious education.

Abstract

The background of this study is there is no local history in history subject which is taugh at the MAN Koto Kecil.The source of data are the head of madrasah, curriculum, history teachers, students, and the people who take the policy related to education in Agam District, West Sumatra Province. The result of the research indicates that the teaching of history subject at MAN Koto Kecil still focuses on the national history.The implemantation of teaching history with local history contents starts when this research conducted and the history teachers committe to teach it for the next history class. Teaching local history by using biography of Siti Manggopoh makes students interest to seek information more deeply about Siti Manggopoh and made her struggle’s values as a role model, so that, it forms the local wisdom in students themselves. The class’ atmosphere more motivates and it can improve student motivation.The obstacles in teaching local history by using Siti Manggopoh’s biography are adequate facility, limitation of local history sources and time, and also the skill of teacher in integrating the local history into national history.

Abstract

This research discusses the influence of woman lecturer’s participation and actualitation toward her job productivity. Research done by distributing the questionnaire in to 8 faculties in UIN Suska Riau. Based on the statistical test, it is known that by parsial, the actualisation and job participation has a positif effect but it is not significant toward productivity. Considering the small influence on the both variable which have been specified previously, hence, the early research model is modified ( model 1) by adding estimated variable which also influence productivity like the year of service and the fungional position. The result of the statistical test indicates that the functional position has positive and significant influence to job productivity.'The self actualisation also has a positive influence, but it is not significant. While the job participation and the year of service have a negative influence and there is no significant. The result of statistical test indicates simultanly that the fourth of free varibels, self actualisation, job participation, year of service, and functional position has significant influence to job productivity
