Abstract

The study defines leadership style and motivation as independent variables and performance as dependent variable. Leadership style in this study refers to three indicators namely: 1) directing subordinates in performing jobs; 2) participating with subordinates; 3) trusting subordinates. Motivation refers to 5 indicators that are: 1) recognition from counterparts; 2) recognition from leaders; 3) recognition from organization; 4) opportunities for promotion; 5) initiating good performance. Performance refers to 7 indicators: 1) loyalty; 2) spirit; 3) work consistency; 4) honesty; 5) work clarity; 6) teamwork; 7) capability. The research aims to determine and analyze simultaneous influence of leadership style and motivation on officials’ performance in The Department of Transportation, Communication, and Informatics of Tojo Una-Una District. Tool analysis is multiple linear regressions. Based on the results, it is found that leadership style and motivation have significant influence on officials’ performance, both simultaneosuly and partially in The Department of Transportation, Communication, and Informatics of Tojo Una-Una District.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the poverty pattern and the factors that cause poverty of fishermen society of Bantaya Sub-district. This research was a descriptive research using mixed method as data analysis. The results of the research showed that: 1) Poverty pattern  is formed of the fishermen society in Bantaya Sub-district namely: Subsistence poverty, Protection of poverty, and poverty of understanding; 2) Factors that cause poverty are internal factors (intellectual factors, mental factors, psychological factors, skill factors, asset factors) and external factors (land ownership factors).

Abstract

The goal of this research is to investigate and analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the national exam in 2014 the level of school SMA Negeri (SMAN) by the Department of Education and the city of Palu. In the discussion of this study the effectiveness of using the theory being addressed by Robbins, consists of the application (1) The principle of suitability requirements, (2) The principle of the right target, and (3) The principle of benefit. This research is research that uses qualitative descriptive method approach. This study focused on the Department of Education and the city of Palu, addition this study conducted in several schools as representatives of State Senior High School in the city of Palu, SMAN 1 Palu, SMAN 3 Palu, and SMAN 5 Palu. In this study, other research informants purposively determined that as many as 5 people. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The data analysis was performed with data reduction procedures, presentation of data and draw conclusions. The results of this study concluded that the effectiveness of implementation of the National Examination Level Senior High School by the Department of Education and Teaching Palu of Central Sulawesi Province, from 3 (three) element used in the present study, only elements of the principle of suitability needs not yet been reached with the good, because although National Examination budget already in budgeted but still feels less impacting on the lack of supporting infrastructure. Targeted principle has been reached with the good, although not yet reached the graduation of 100%, the implementation of the National Examination SMA has been done by purpose. And the principle has been reached with the good benefits, to improving the quality of output from every school in the Palu city and competence of existing educators.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the development of local revenue and fiscal ability in its implication  on economic growth and express some views in running policy to improve economic growth. This was a qualitative reserarch with data analysis methode usig financial ability stipulated by Planing and National Development  Board. Study of local revenue in Poso regency indicates that is has not meaningful development yet. Contribution of real of local revenue in Poso regency on state budget is still less, which is 5%. Local revenue still more influenced by central government that makes economic development run slowly. God cooperation from all party will surely give a great contribution for local revenue availability. The local revenue gained should be returned to society through infrastructure development which can be directly enjoyed by them. The research result reveals that ratio of local finance independency obtained the outcomes on the average of 3% or lies in instructive relation pattern. Fiscal decentralization degree ratio and routine ability index ratio show that local finance ability still lack, which is 5% and 6%. On suitability ratio, routine expenditure is higher than development expenditure with gap as much as 63%. Growth ratio, overall has negative growth becausethe improvement of local real revenue and local income total are not followed by development expenditure growth, but followed by routine expenditure growth. By seeing the analysis result, the local revenue development of Poso regency has not shown a meaningful development and local finance ability for the sake of local autonomy implementation that considered still lack.

Abstract

The aims of the study are: 1) to determine and analyze simultaneous influence and partial of motivation, work satisfaction, and HR development on officials’ performance The Agency of Financial Administration and Local Asset of Tojo Una-Una. Type of research is descriptive causal with multiple linear regressions analysis and census sampling technique. Demographic respondents show that 56.8% of 44 officials in this agency is women, 50% of them aged between 20-30, 63.6% hold bachelor degree, and the maximum length of work between 1-5 years. Variable with highest mean of 4.41 is X3 (HR development), while mean of performance is 4.50. The result of multiple linear regressions analysis finds that Fvalue of 7.428 with sig. value of 0.000 on confidence level (α = 0,05). This means that motivation, work satisfaction, and HR development simultaneously have positively and significantly on officials’ performance in The Agency of Financial Administration and Local Asset of Tojo Una-Una. Partially, motivation and work satisfaction have postive and significant influence, while HR development has insignificant influence on officials’ performance in The Agency of Financial Administration and Local Asset of Tojo Una-Una.

Abstract

The study intends to analyze the influence of leadership style and motivation on officials’ performance in the Agency of Regional Employment in Tojo Una-Una District. Type of research is descriptive analysis by wherein it describes the influence between variables, in this case, leadership style, motivation, and performance. Unit analysis is 40 officials who hold civil servants status. Analysis tool used is multiple linear regressions. The results show that leadership style  and motivation influence the performance of officers in Tojo Una-Una District, both simultaneously and partially.

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the importance of service quality to meet the expectation of patients and its effect on inpatients satisfactions in Madani Regional Hospital of Central Sulawesi. The research applies qualitative-quantitative approach with Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) Method and multiple linear regressions by employing proportionate startified random sampling thecnique. Quadrant A in IPA Method, indicated by low performance and high importance is occupied by nurses’ attention, doctor’s attention, understanding patients wishes, service time, and hospital security. Quadrant B indicated by high performance and high importance is occupied by medical staff’s neatness, medical staff hygiene, and communications easiness. Quadrant C indicated by low performance and low importance is occupied by parking lot space, parking arrangement, and rooms clealiness. Quadrant D indicated by high performance and low importance is occupied by the beauty of the hospital’s building design. Multiple linear regressions analysis shows that service quality includes physical evidence, emphaty, responsiveness, reliability, and assurance simultaneously have significant effect on inpatients satisfactions with fsig of 0.000. Partially, physical evidence with tsig of 0.048 and assurance with  tsig of 0.018 have significant effect on inpatients satisfaction, while emphaty with  tsig of 0.900, assurance with  tsig of 0.220, and reliability with  tsig of 0.688 have insignificant effect on inpatients satisfactions.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the influence of Palu City as a center of growth towards the economic growth of Parigi Moutong District, Donggala District, and Sigi District as buffer zones of Palu City. The study also seeks the performance of the rapidly growing pre-eminent sectors in Palu City that affects the growth of the economic sectors in the hinterland regions. Data collecting method uses literature study on secondary data based on PDRB per capita of province and districts in Central Sulawesi. The results find that: 1) based on the completeness of the infrastructure and effectiveness of the coverage of infrastructure services,Palu City is defined a growth center and ParigiMoutong Districts, Donggala District, and Sigi District as its buffer zones; 2) based on Gravity Analysis, Donggala District is a hinterland area that has the closest spatial interaction with the growth center; 3) based on shift share analysis, it reveals that the leading sector in Palu City indirectly influences the economic growth in the region.

Abstract

Officials at The Secretariate of Regional Parliasment should show a good performance, in the sense of really mastering their job, because they have to support the assignments of the local  legislators. Performance is the ability of employees in completing tasks assigned to him. An employee is capable of high performance if they have high motivation. Motivation is a process that directs employees to work better to complete work as expected. The study aims to determine and analyze simultaneous and partial influence of commitment, motivation, and public services on officials’ performance at The Secretariate of Regional Parliament of Tojo Una-Una District. Population consists of 35 respondents who selected through census method. Tool of analysis is multiple linear regressions. The study finds that commitment, motivation, and public services simultaneously and partially influence officials’ performance at The Secretariate of Regional Parliament of Tojo Una-Una District.

Abstract

The study intends to know: 1) significant influence of social economy and infrastructure simultaneously towards community behavior on waste management in Ampana Sub-District in Tojo Una-Una; 2) significant influence of social economy towards community behavior on waste Mmanagement in Ampana Sub-District in Tojo Una-Una; 3) significant influence of infrastructure towards community behavior on waste management in Ampana Sub-District in Tojo Una-Una. Sample consists of 99 respondents from 6 urban villages and 4 villages in Ampana City Sub-District. Data analyzed with descriptive quantitative approach with multiple linear regressions analysis. The result shows that social economy and infrastructure simultaneously and partially have significant influence towards community behavior on waste management in Ampana Sub-District in Tojo Una-Una.
