Abstract

This research aims at describing the characteristics of directive speech act usage cover (1) form, (2) function and (3) strategy of instructional at Madrasah Aliyah Putri Aisyiyah Palu. The data source was obtained from teacher and students’ speech act when learning process occurred. Approach used was pragmatic approach. Method employed was descriptive qualitative. Data were collected through two techniques, was namely (1) recording and (2) observation. The subjects were teacher and students of Madrasah Aliyah Putri Aisyiyah Palu.  Technique of data analysis was interactive model. Analysis of this research covered four stages, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data display and (4) verification/drawing conclusion. The research results reveal that learning process at Madrasah Aliyah Putri Aisyiyah Palu consists of (1) command form, (2) inviting form, (3) asking for form, (4) pleasing form, (5) prohibition form, (6) refusing form, (7) question form and (8) statement form. The function of directive speech act of the research consists of: (1) command function, (2) inviting function, (3) asking for function, (4) pleasing function, (5) prohibition function and (6) refusing function. Command function is for commanding, recommending, increasing concentration of the students, testing students’ understanding, (2) inviting function is for invitation, recommendation, increasing students’ concentration, (3) request function is for requesting, offering, conducive a situation, testing students’ understanding, (4) pleasing function is for pleasing, allowing, increasing students’ understanding, (5) prohibition function is for prohibition, prevention, conducive a situation and (6) refusing function is for refusing, limiting explanation, avoiding. Strategies used in directive speech act were direct and indirect strategy. The direct strategy comprised (1) direct command, (2) direct inviting, (3) direct requesting, (4) direct pleasing, (5) direct prohibition and (6) direct refusing. Meanwhile, indirect strategy comprised (1) indirect question and (2) indirect statement with various functions that referred behind the speech depend on the context.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur keefektifan metode menggambar dan mewarnai pada kemampuan  anak-anak RaudatulAtfal Al-Ikhlas Duyu dalam menghafal kata-kata bahas aInggris. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam quasi eksperimen, non ekuivalen control grup dan uji-t dalam pengujian statistiknya. Sampel group yang diuji  adalah  grup eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan metode  menggambar  dan  mewarnai  dan  grup control diajarkan dengan  cara biasa  dalam  pembelajarannya.  Intstrumen data yang  dipakai adalah test dan  observasi. Tes digunakan sebagai acuan dasar pengujian, sedangkan lembar observasi hanya sebagai data penunjang hasil dari  test. Data dianalisis  menggunakan  uji-t SPSS dan metode  deskripsi.  Data yang didapatkan  diolah  dan  dianalisa  menggunakan SPSS 16.0, sedangkan  observasi  ceklis dijelaskan secara deskripsi. Berdasarkan analisis data, perbandingan hasil  pengujian  hipotesis post-test eksperimen  grup dan control grup  memperlihatkan  bahwa  nilai rata-rata dari grup eksperimen adalah 73.23 lebih besar dari pada nilai rata-rata dari group control yaitu 47.61. Hal ini  menunjukkan  bahwa  terdapat  perbedaan  hasil  tes  antara   group yang diberikan   perlakuan. Dari hasil  perhitungan di dapatkan t-hitung 16.383 dengan level signifikan yang lebih  besar  dari t-table 1.714, ini  berarti  bahwa   nul hypothesis (Ho) ditolak  dan   hipothesis alternative (Ha) diterima.  Dengan kata lain bahwa  kemampuan  anak di kelas   eksperimen  dalam   menghafal   kata-kata bahasa  Inggri   lebih  baik  dari  kelas yang hanya diajarkan  carak  onvensional.

Abstract

Based on the background of the research, the research problem is “How is the form of children directive speech act of PAUD Terpadu Sulawesi Permata Bangsa Tondo Palu?. This research aims at describing the use of directive speech act form of children of PAUD Terpadu Sulawesi Permata Bangsa Tondo Palu. The data were obtained from children speech act with teacher and during their learning process either in the classroom or in outside. The method employed was descriptive qualitative. The data collections were recording and observation. The subject was children of TK B and TK A PAUD Terpadu Sulawesi Permata Bangsa Tondo Palu. The technique data analysis was interactive model. The analysis covered four stages, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data displaying and (4) verification/drawing conclusion. the research results reveal that children directive speech act form of PAUD Terpadu Sulawesi Permata Bangsa Tondo Palu consists of (1) imperative form, (2) request form, (3) prohibition form, (4) statement form, (5) question form and (6) refusal form.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk membuktikan bahwa penggunaan teknik wawancara dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan dan motivasi berbicara mahasiswa perguruan tinggi bisnis Palu. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimental dengan rancangan non-equivalen kelompok kontrol. Populasi di pilih berdasarkan tujuan untuk menentukan sampel kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan tes untuk mengukur keterampilan mahasiswa berbicara dan kuisioner untuk mengukur motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik uji-t. Data yang diperoleh melalui tes di analisa dan di uji statistik melalui SPSS 13.0. Ditemukan bahwa nilai rata-rata dari keterampilan berbicara kelompok eksperimen adalah 76.92 lebih besar dari kelompok kontrol, 72.07. Hasil perbandingan melalui uji-t menggambarkan nilai t-hitung = 2.217 > nilai t-table  = 2.056. Selanjutnya, untuk motivasi mahasiswa, nilai rata-rata kelompok eksperimen  adalah 43 dan kelompok kontrol adalah 38.71. Hasil perbandingan motivasi mahasiswa melalui uji-t menggambarkan nilai t-hitung = 2.433 > nilai t-table = 2.056. Sehingga, Ha di terima dan H0 di tolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan teknik wawancara dapat mempengaruhi keterampilan dan motivasi berbicara mahasiswa perguruan tinggi bisnis Palu.

Abstract

The question analysis is one of the evaluation activity, which purposed to the teacher. Because, in this case the teacher roles is important to make the question in each of subject that related with it. The question analysis activity is very important in the test which will be tested. The purposes are to know: 1. The quality of the question school observed from material aspect, construction and language, (2) The distribution the cognitif aspect of bloom taxonomy level which have measured at the question, (3) the quality of the question school exam at the indonesian subject observed from validity, difficulties level, distinguishing capacity, the effectively of key and swindlers, (4). The competence achievement level by the students participation that measured through school exam of indonesian subject with form of the question is multiple choice. The population and sample in this research is all of the ninth grade students at SMP Negeri 17 Palu. The data accumulation method which used in this research is documentation data like an archive the question test of school exam at indonesian subject class. The reasearch form which used is analysis of descriptive quantitative qualitative. Based on the result of the question aspect research which have some aspects, there are contents aspect (material), contruction aspect, and language aspect, there are unconformity about the question, that is for the material aspect there is 1 question or 2%, then construction aspect, there are 17 questions or 34%, and for language aspect, there is 1 question or 2%. So the questions could classify with well. Because from the total of the questions (50 questions), only 17 questions (38%) which classified bad or need to repair. Based on the result of the standard question difficulties level of school exam in indonesian subject at SMP Negeri 17 palu year study 2014/2015 from the total of the questions (50 Questions) were done by the students, include an easy category or the questions have an index difficulties < 0,30 or (56%) with the total of the question (28 questions item), for the medium category or have a moderate index difficulties ≥ 0,30 – 0,70 (38%) with the total of the question is 19 questions, and for the difficulties category or have an item index difficulties > 0,70 (6%) or only 3 questions item. The ninth grade students at SMP Negeri 17 palu state that this questions are easy, because almost all of the students can do it. So it needs to repair in the creating of the new question. In this case have a purpose to increasing human capacity sources more qualified.
