Abstract

Expert System is designed to facilitate the public (patients) and the doctor or nurse in the decision to diagnose a cyst disease. And a patient can quickly and easily determine the type of illness suffered the cyst disease, as well as one of the alternatives in dealing with the type of disease and requires solutions to handle. The process of making these systems using Forward Chaining method for decision-making. Between system and user usesome questions in the form of a list of symptoms that have been there. The results of this system can facilitate in decision making doctor to diagnose the type of cyst disease suffered by the patient, causes, and treatment.

Abstract

Problems that occur between major discrepancy with talent and competence are often experienced by high school students, therefore the role of decision support system for the selection of major is needed, so that teachers and students can assist in providing the appropriate department. The data collection process begins with the system requirements, system design, system creation process and the testing process. System design starts from designing the Unified Modeling Language (UML), Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) and the design of the table. The process of ranking the major alternative use traditional methods of Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), which consists of a criteria subjects value, the value of attendance, the value of talent, values of Psikotest and quota of class. The final result in the form of majors recommendation from the calculation of the most high-ranking criteria. Recommended majors are expected to be the right advice for decision makers to make decisions majors, where the results showed that with this system have recommended majors conformity with the competence and talents of students by 74%.

Abstract

Operating system is a compulsory subject taken in the Information Technology Student FTIK - USM . In the discussion of the material management process of the operating systems course , there are some scheduling algorithm which processes need to be understood and any existing process scheduling algorithm presented in the form of Grantt Charts . Because of the difficulties experienced by students in understanding the process of scheduling algorithms by an Operating System become researchers inspiration to conduct this study to make an application Grantt Chart.. This study uses a waterfall system development , where the flow will follow the research the phase in waterfall . This application will be built using Visual Basic 6 .  The purpose of this research is to produce an application of learning are presented in graphical form to facilitate students in understanding the material scheduling process performed by an operating system so that students can also understand how a computer can do multiple processes simultaneously.

Abstract

University Semarang (USM) is now 26 years old (founded in 1987). It stands to USM achievement, both national and international. Although at the regional level in Central Java USM has become the leading private universities, but at the national level has not been fully encouraging, let alone the world level.Academically, USM is not yet in a world university ranking methods, such as: Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), The Times Higher Education Supplement (THES) and Webometrics. Only in Webometric lah, world university ranking USM entered electronically although not entirely encouraging. Apparently, we need to work harder in order to reach World Class University category.

Abstract

Logo is a graphical symbol that is the identity of an organization, institution, or company. Logo is generally used to introduce to the public the existence of an organization, institution, or company. Through the existence of an agency logo can be seen by the public. Feature recognition is one of the processes that exist within an augmented reality system. One of uses augmented reality is able to recognize the identity of the logo through a camera. The first step to make a process of feature recognition is through the corner detection. Incorporation of several method such as FAST, SURF, and FLANN TREE for the feature detection process based corner detection feature matching up process, will have the better ability to detect the presence of a logo. Additionally when running the feature extraction process there are several issues that arise as scale invariant feature and rotation invariant feature. In this study the research object in the form of logo to the priority to make the process of feature recognition. FAST, SURF, and FLANN TREE method will detection logo with scale invariant feature and rotation invariant feature conditions. Obtained from this study will demonstration the accuracy from FAST, SURF, and FLANN TREE methods to solve the scale invariant and rotation invariant feature problems.
