Abstract

Scheduling Cuts Away Forest is one of problem met at forestry area. All important problem in finalizing this problem is to determine forest check which will be cut away with a purpose to maximizes yield wood volume in each period cuts away and remain to maintains everlasting forest concept. Method which has been developed to finalize this problem is apply linear program with simplex method. At this method every step is taken based on exact formula is assessed unsatisfying good to finalize this problem. Genetics algorithm is one of alternative of solution of scheduling problems cuts away this forest. This idea of this algorithm comes from the Evolution Theory of Charles Darwin, which is only the best route was choosen. An individual was being choosen from a parent population and then recombined to another individual that has been choosen from another parent population to create a new individu. This new individual expected to be better from the rest individu at the population. With this method, the genetic algorithm found to be able to offer a best Scheduling Cuts Away Forest Problem.

Abstract

Final assessment is one of the obligations of a lecturer and the right of a student in a lecture. Systems that are still often used today is the manual counting system and the use of paper as a medium to student publications. The manual system has the risk of delay when the lecturer must teach many courses with many students. Based on this fact, they invented a Final Assessment of Student Information System Web-based. This system can automate the final assessment. Gains derived from this system are, in addition to the automatic final assessment, students can learn the value of the college, faculty objectivity more guaranteed, and the use of paper can be minimized.

Abstract

Data Mining as one of the development of Artificial Intelligence area has been developed primarily in the areas of business. In this research, data mining process in the case of the influence of motivation on the level of student discipline in following the lectures in college, assuming that the higher thestudents' motivation will be spurred to become more disciplined in following college activities. The method used was the two models are linear and quadratic regression. From the analysis, obtained by error (mse) of 8.13% for the linear regression model and errors (mse) of 8.15% for the quadratic regression model. Based on the results of the analysis, the conclusion is moreappropriate linear regression model applied in this case because it gives a smaller error than the quadratic regression model.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop and test UPC code 128C image reader built based on LTS Algorithm (Linear scanning, Thresholding, Scaling) invented by Eddy Maryanto in 2010. Software that is used to implement the barcode reader is Borland Delphi 6. Two hundred barcode images is used in testing process. The result of the testing process shows that the system has high enough reading accuracy level i.e about 66% and has ability to read rotated barcode image with high enough accuration. The system has reading rate of 4,69 second per barcode image with threshold multiplier range value of 1,00-1,50.

Abstract

The greater and problems complex of software development project enables the event of failure. Risk management is an approach to guide minimization or lessens the failure impact. This paper is explain risk management modelbase that probe event risk in developing software. Risk management has step of solution consisted of by identification, analysis, mitigation strategy risk. This paper also very useful to assist academician, researcher and practitioner to be more understanding risk management as one part of the software engineering.

Abstract

Equitable distribution of electricity needs a framework of PT. PLN (Persero) Manado region in an effort to improve the quality of customer service. To improve the service developed a WEB based information system that supports the activities of PT. PLN. Information systems processing and customer service PT. WEB-based PLN was built to serve the customers and the general public in terms of obtaining information, applying for the installation of electrical, power changes and other information. Its use is intended for the public, especially our customers to communicate with PLN Region Manado. System development process begins with the stage of analysis then perform design, including process design and database design. The design process is done by using the Use Case Diagram. From the use case then transformed into the program modules for implementation. While the database design was done by the method of modeling an Entity Relationship Diagram (ER-Diagram). Implementation of this information system development using Dreamweaver MX, PHP as the interface system and uses MySQL as its database. Web server used is Apache and the browser using Mozilla Firefox for Web applications.
