Abstract

 This research aim to know difference of perception among accountancy student to chosening career as public accountant, company accountant, educator accountant, and governmental accountant about financial reward, professional training, professional confession, social values, work environment, consideration of market employ and personality. And kind of career most accounting students interested and uninterested. The sample of this research was taken about 135 respondents from the population 203 respondents. The data collection method is using survey with questionnaires instrument. The normality of the data was tested by implementing Kolmogorof Smirnov, the validity of the data was tested by implementing Correlated Item-Total Correlation and the reliability of the data was tested by implementing the Cronbach Alpha. This research is comparative research so hypothesis test in the research is using Kruskall-Wallis test. The result shows that the difference accounting student perception about factors influencing the career choices of the accounting student are financial reward, professional training, professional confession, work environment and consideration of market employ. But they don’t think more about social values and personality.

Abstract

Capital markets can be a leading indicator for the economy. Shariah Index has taken  place in the process of  Islamization of capital markets at once is Islamic capital market development. The purpose of this study to (1) know the description of the dynamics of JII, JCI, Index of Industrial Production, and SIBOR, (2) evaluate the response to shocks Jakarta  Islamic Index  stock index, the Index of Industrial Production, and SIBOR.  Analysis using Vector Autoregression. VAR is built  with consideration to minimize the theoretical approach capable of capturing  economic  phenomena. Description  JII and  JCI  showed  a similar  pattern, the Index of Industrial  Production has an increasing trend,  while  SIBOR fluctuates  and  tends to fall.  Shocks that  occurred in the JII, JCI  and the Index of Industrial  Production  will be responded  positively by JII, while the shocks that occurred in SIBOR will respond in the opposite direction.

Abstract

This research aims to study factors that can influence to future profit and cash flow on listed company from manufacture industry at Indonesian Stock Exchange in the year 2005-2007. This resesarch used profit, cash flow and cash dividend as independent variable. Type of this research is descriptive – verificative research.The object of this research is emiten from manufacture industry listed Indonesian Stock Exchange which publish income statement on December, 31, 2005 – 2007, obtaining profit on resesarch period and use rupiah in income statement. By using purposive sampling technique, there are 65 companies as resesarch object. The unstandardized multiple regression model is used to examine the influence of profit, cash flow and cash dividend toward future profit and cash flow both partial and simultaneously.The result of this resesarch show that (1) simultaneously, profit, cash flow, and cash dividend has strong positive influence toward future profit, (2) simultaneously, profit, cash flow, and cash dividend has positive influence toward future cash flow, (3)partialy, profit, cash flow, and cash dividend has positive influence toward future profit, but just profit and cash flow that has significant, (4) partialy, profit, cash flow hasn’t significant influence toward future cash flow, while cash dividen has positive significant influence toward future cash flow.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of investment decisions, financing decisions, dividend policy and interest rates to corporate value. Samples are 25 companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange as a sample study based on purposive sampling. Criteria for the sample are a manufacturing company that went public and listed consecutively at the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2005-2009 and manufacturing companies that distribute cash dividends during the study period.Data used in this research is secondary data in the form of financial reports, the BI Rate, Fact Book, ICMD (Indonesian Capital Market Directory) and other references that support this research. Data analysis technique uses the classical assumption test: normality test, multicollinearity, autocorrelation test and the test heterocedastity. Test hypothesis using multiple regression analysis using SPSS 17.The results of this study indicate that 1) Investment decision has positive influence to corporate value. 2) Financing decision does not affect to corporate value. 3) Dividend policy has a negative and significant effect to corporate value. 4) Interest rates do not affect to corporate value.

Abstract

The goal this research is test influence of vactors to Student preference majoring in accounting to participation in accounting provetion program on four univercity: Unair, Ubaya, STIESIA, and Unibraw. Test of the research use linier regration model.The Result of the research, parsially test:  (a) independent variable significant infleance to dependent variable (carier motivation, kuality motivation, kwnoladge motivation, participating USAP motivation, degree motivation, term of education, and achievement motivation. (b) The cost of education motivation and econocic motivation don’t significant influence to participation in accounting provetion program. Corelation value R­2 between independen variable and dependent and dependent variable is 0,894, determination value 0,790 is the meaning 79,0% participation in accounting provetion program influenced by independen variable, than 21,0% participation in accounting provetion program influenced by others variable.

Abstract

Comprehensive exam is compulsory for every student of accounting in order to be graduated from the school. From the academic data of 2007 to 2009, the number of student that failed from the comprehensive exam was increasing. This fact becomes the main reason for taking this study, hence, the main purpose of this study is to interpret comprehensive exam based on the understanding of the lecturers, alumni, and students of Trunojoyo University. Informants on this study consist of lecturers, alumni, and students. There are 8 informants that is used in this study, in which 3 of them are lecturers, 2 of them are students, and the other 3 are alumni. Furthermore, this study incorporates qualitative methodology with interpretive paradigm and also use phenomenology approach. The result of this study shows that all of the academic members have the same understanding on comprehensive exam. According to their understanding, comprehensive exam is a final exam which is based on the subjects of accounting department from the very first semester to the last semester. In addition, factors that support the success of student on the comprehensive exam are, first, the lecturer subjectivity in marking the student, even though not all lecturers are subjective while marking the student. Second is the psychological condition of the student during the comprehensive exam. Third is the level of understanding of the student itself on the accounting subjects that has been taken by the student.  The last is related to the time when the comprehensive exam took place in which has the same time with thesis examination.
