Abstract

This research aims to determine the number of investment expenses and analyze the technical and financial feasibility fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe. research conducted in November of 2009. Data analyzed by (1) Net Present Value (NPV), (2) Internal Rate of Return (IRR), (3) Net Benefit Cost Ratio (NBCR), (4) Sensitivity Analysis. Based on research results can be concluded : (1). south Konawe technically possible to host the fattening of Bali cattle, because conditions in accordance with technical requirements cultivation and cultivation of grass feed beef cattle, (2) the cost of fish per year investment in 1200 amounted to Rp 3,029,547,500 which is used to open the garden 4.5 hectares of grass, grass seeds king grass, build a cow shed, office buildings, warehouses, supporting infrastructure, and machinery and equipment, (3) The financial analysis showed that fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe feasible with NPV Rp 7,678,359,025, IRR of 44.20% and NBCR Rp 3.09 (4) results of sensitivity analysis showed that fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe remain viable despite a 10% increase in costs or decrease benefits by 10%, and (5) fattening Bali cattle in South Konawe Regency positive impact that can not be measured with money that is: improvement of soil fertility, labor absorption, and increased knowledge to farmers on how to properly cultivate Bali cattle.

Abstract

This research was aimed to study the response of stock farmer on a made catalytic supplement for goat. The sample size on this research has taken by the census of a method that is used the all number of population as the sample about 20 people. The result of data analysis indicates that the all-stock farmer has given positive of respond on made catalytic supplement of technology, likely most 20 people (100%) declare that the material is simple, most 15 people have declared that the material process is easy, and the last 20 people (100%) has declared that knowledge regarded material of process is most utility. Therefore, disseminating regarded technology of the catalytic supplement made is more significant to do.

Abstract

A case study on the impact of institutional development for sustainability of project participants (project sustainability) has been conducted on the asset of Initial Fund Equivalent (MAP), which is facilitated by Cooperative Ministry and UKM of the Indonesian Republic in Ahuhu, Wawotobi district, Konawe regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The study was conducted through a survey of 12 farmer groups by interviewing 60 project participants from members of the group. The result showed that the farmers' institutional performance as project participant is very low. This is evidenced by the low level of participation of respondents in group activities related to counseling, project management, and livestock development. One impact of the weak performance of the participant's project is the inability of the farmer groups to develop economic institution community-based in order to assist the development of farmers livestock. This study proves that one of the causes does not the formation of farmers' economic institutions which is able to take over the project management according to the original plan due to lack of government attention to the institutional development of farmer groups as a coaching container of project participants.

Abstract

Long-Range target this research is a technological introduction of seaweed with system pluck process and sell in the effort increase earnings of farmer group in Sub-District Of Bungkutoko District Of Abeli Town of Kendari Special Target this research is ( 1). Measuring improvement of productivity and earnings of conducting result and handling of seaweed after by using net keramba float, ( 2). To know earnings of society before and after the existence of technological introduction in the form of processing of seaweed result become multifariously of product, In The Year I technological Introduction to be applied at conducting is making of seaweed construction method of long line by using system of keramba net float functioning to arrest;detain to fall or loss of seaweed go out to sea effect of wave or come down with. With this technology is expected can increase product and productivity. Analysis the used is Analysis Earnings, that is Budget of Partial(Partial Budget Analysis). Research location in Sub-District Of Bungkutoko District Of Abeli Town of Kendari.

Abstract

This research is aimed (1) to find out the contribution of fisherwomen in fish floss production at Abeli District, Kendari, (2) to find out the relationship between the fisherwomen characteristics and the fisherwomen's contribution in fish floss production. This research was carried out at the Joint Business Group of Pudai Sub-District, Abeli District, Kendari from October - November 2009. Data collection was performed through survey method. The primary data includes the fisherwomen's characteristics in fish floss production. The population in this research is all the 20 fisherwomen involved in fish floss production at Abeli District, Kendari. The sampling method was conducted through the census, which is in line with Sugiyono's statement (2007) that if all population is taken as a sample, then the method used is called saturated sampling or census. The variables in this research are the characteristics of fisherwomen such as age, educational background, family dependents, fisherwomen's experience, the frequency of attending extension program and media consumption; and fisherwomen's contribution in fish floss production which covers weeding, stewing, dressing, frying, and compaction. The obtained data in this research is qualitatively analyzed. Interval formula was used to classify the level of fisherwomen's contribution as high, medium, and low. Whilst Rank Spearman correlation was employed to test the relationship between both variables using SPSS software version 13. The result of the research reveals that most fisherwomen are at their productive age, high school graduates with medium family dependents, adequate experiences, frequent extension participants, and have high media consumption. The high contribution of fisherwomen in fish floss production are in terms of frying (60.00%), and compaction (85.00%). The median contribution of fisherwomen in fish floss production is in terms of weeding (55.00%), stewing (80.00%), and dressing (65.00%). Factors like fisherwomen's experience, the frequency of attending extension program and media consumption are significantly correlated, whilst age, educational background, and numbers of family dependents are not significantly correlated.

Abstract

Empowering farmers palm sugar is a series of systematic efforts, consistent and to achieve common goals more efficiently continuing to improve the adaptability and innovation of farmers on optimum utilization of technology within the existing institutional rules. This research aims: (1) to examines the resources potential of palm sugar farmers in agribusiness, (2) to examines the application of palm sugar technology, (3) to analyzed the institutional rules of palm sugar agribusiness. This research was conducted in the South Konawe Regency from June to November 2012. Data were collected through interviews, in-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion and observations at the location of the processing of palm sugar. Human resource potential, technology implementation, and processing of palm sugar, and institutional rules of palm sugar agribusiness analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of research showed: (1) human resources of palm sugar agribusiness at South Konawe Regency not reached the standard of sustainable business, (2) The technology to produce palm sugar is not right that the income is not optimal, and (3) institutional support palm sugar processing business has not been strong and permanent in an effort to empower entrepreneurs. So that the necessary human resource development, testing technologies, consumer preferences and business partnerships palm sugar.

Abstract

The research objectives were to: (1) identify the actual problems of the revolving fund management held by the Program Management Unit (PMU) of Coral Reef Management Program phase II (COREMAP II) Wakatobi, (2) determine the solving recommendation according to the problems of the revolving fund management held by the PMU COREMAP II Wakatobi. The research was conducted from July through August 2011 in sub-District of Wangi-Wangi and South Wangi-Wangi, District of Wakatobi. The research populations were the personnel of the 24 village microfinance both Wangi-Wangi sub-District and South Wangi-Wangi sub-District. Descriptive statistic and cross-tabulation were used to reach the research objectives. Result of analysis indicated that the problems of the revolving fund management held by the PMU COREMAP II Wakatobi were: a) about 90,61% of the revolving fund was not running, b) the personal responsibility was lower, c) the lack of sanctions in the management system, d) the microfinance management system stay out of legal control of the village authority, e) the capacity of the personnel was lower, and f) misperception apart of the fund user toward the revolving fund allocation. Based on these actual problems, then the recommendation suggested were: a) the revolving fund must be managed by the available group or local institution (not be formed), b) It was necessary for the head of LKM to deliver a responsibility report at the time leader hand over, c) it was necessary to establish the sanction for each arrear in payments, d) the microfinance management must be controlled by the village legal authority, e) it was necessary to establish the qualification standard for the microfinance personnel, f) the continuity of technical assistance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the model of communication in achieving accelerated adoption of technology control bacterial wilt disease on patchouli-friendly environment in Southeast Sulawesi, identified and analyze multiple communication methods to support acceleration of the achievement of the adoption of control bacterial wilt disease on patchouli-friendly environment in Southeast Sulawesi and analyze and formulate a model of communication and effective communication methods to support acceleration of the achievement of site-specific technology adoption controlling bacterial wilt disease on patchouli-friendly environment Southeast Sulawesi, research. This study was conducted in 2012 in Southeast Sulawesi Kolaka. Siting did purposively, sampling randomly determined from a number of farmers. This study is survey research combined with quasi-experimental studies. Analysis of descriptive and quantitative data. The results showed that the specific communication models to be applied to accelerate the deployment of information technology is the control of bacterial wilt of participatory interactive communication model, this model is based on the needs of the communicator and the communicant; media interest by farmers as a medium of information technology is accelerating print leaflets and polders, the media contains short and brief information so as to increase the knowledge of farmers, is small so it's easy to go everywhere below, can be read again and again whenever necessary, and does not require any device or other means of support when using the communication and application of the model can be implemented and continuous effective if done in coordination with relevant parties ie trainers, farmers and researchers.
